August 4th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:21AM (8/04)- Cypress Street/ Boylston Street

A juvenile was arrested and charged with being Not Duly Licensed, and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana).

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle make a U-Turn through a red light. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was learned that the driver only had learners permit and was not licensed to drive. He was subsequently arrested. While doing a standard inventory search of the juvenile’s belongings officers found 2 bags of a green leafy substance which appeared to be marijuana. Subject was additionally charged.

  • Occurred at 12:05PM (8/04)- Boston Common

Robert Shea, 43 yrs, was arrested by detectives for an outstanding warrant.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:30PM (6/30) and 11:34AM (7/10)- 1080 Beacon Street

Victim reported she believes she left several oil paintings in the elevator of her building while moving in. The value of these paintings is around $800

  • Occurred between 10AM and 2:29PM (8/04)- 750 Commonwealth Avenue

Manager at Guitar Center reports that a Music Converter (Apogee Ensemble audio interface) was stolen from the store sometime during the day. This item was valued at approximately $2000.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred at 12:46AM (8/04)- 12 St. Paul Street

Victim awoke to glass breaking and upon investigation found a rock had been used to break his living room window. Anti-Semitic remarks were written on the rock, as well as on an additional rock found on the victim’s outdoor patio. There are no similar incidents reported in Brookline and this seems to have been an isolated incident. Detectives are investigating.

  • Occurred between 11:00PM (8/03) and1PM (8/04) - 215 Winchester Street

Victim reported that sometime overnight four roses had been ripped from her flower bed. The value of these flowers is unknown.

Operating After Revocation

  • Occurred between 12:55Am and 1:10AM- 44 Washington Street

Police noticed a vehicle driving with a trash bag from the trunk covering most of the license plate. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was learned the driver had a revoked license. The suspect will be summoned to court for Operating after Revocation, and Operating with an expired Inspection Sticker.
