August 16th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 1:54PM and 3PM (8/16)- 302 Harvard Street

Lena Perry, 26 yrs, was arrested and charged with passing bad checks and possession of a forged instrument.

Victim reported a suspect later identified as Lena Perry had attempted to pass off a fraudulent travelers check at their establishment. Upon investigation it was learned that this same suspect had successfully been able to cash another one of the checks in a neighboring store.

  • Occurred at 5:36PM (8/16)-302 Harvard Street

Maurice Wiggins, 48 yrs, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Victim reported a suspect had just placed various items of clothing into his jacket and walked out. Police stopped the suspect and found him to be in possession of the stolen articles, which he was subsequently arrested for.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 11:17AM (8/15)- 3 Harvard Square

Victim reports that sometime during the day a first addition Credence Clearwater Revival poster was stolen from the men’s bathroom. The poster is valued at $250-$300.

  • Occurred between 8PM (8/03) and 12:30AM (8/04)- 1651 Beacon Street

Victim reports that her coach wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at a restaurant. The purse contained two credit card as well as $40 cash.

  • Occurred between 6PM (8/15) and 6:30AM (8/16)- 44 Beverly Road

Victim reports that sometime overnight a leather briefcase was stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The briefcase contained a Dell Laptop and various work related papers.

  • Occurred between 11AM (8/11) and 6PM (8/15)- 210 Winthrop Road

Victim reports locking his bicycle beside his vehicle for several days, when he returned the bike lock had been cut and the bike was missing.

  • Occurred between 8PM (8/15) and 12PM (8/16)- 786 Newton Street

Victim reports that she left the door to her car ajar and when she returned she found an IPOD was missing from her vehicle.

  • Occurred between 9PM (8/15) and 5Am (8/16)- 209 St Paul St

Victim reports she had secured her bicycle to a tree outside her residence and when she returned a day later the bike was missing. The bike is described as a blue men’s mountain bike.


Fraud

Occurred between 7:24PM and 9:26PM (8/16)

An elderly woman was scammed out of significant amounts of money after succumbing to an elaborate scheme that claimed she had won a contest. This case is still under investigation.

August 15th Police Reports

Assault

  • Occurred at 6PM (8/12)- 219 Pleasant Street

Police will summons both participants to court over a mutual assault and battery. Two friends who were drinking at an apartment, got into a scuffle after an argument broke out. Witnesses report seeing the two suspects continuing the physical altercation into the hallway, since it is unclear how the altercation began both participants are being cited for this altercation.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:45PM and 8:30PM (8/15)- 216 St. Paul Street

Victim reports he had parked his girlfriend’s car in front of his apartment and left it unattended for a couple of hours. When the victim returned he found that the car had been burglarized. A GPS system valued at $515 was reported missing from the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 7PM and 10:30PM (8/15)- 175 High Street

Victim reports that his license plate had been stolen from his vehicle sometime over a 3-4 hour period.

August 14th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:09PM (8/14)- 686 Chestnut Hill Avenue

Victor Servello, 30 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after Suspension.

Police pulled over a vehicle after it failed to come to a stop at a red light. Upon investigation it was learned that the operator’s license had been suspended. He was subsequently arrested

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6PM (8/13) and 8AM and (8/14)- 20 Harvard Place

Victim reported sometime overnight her children’s bikes were stolen from her backyard. One of the bikes was a red magna mountain bike valued at $100. The other bike is a black alpha urban bike valued at $139.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 7PM and 9:20PM (8/13)- 61 Park Street

Victim reported that her handbag had been stolen from her unlocked apartment. The wallet contained various identification cards as well as $25 cash.

August 13th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 2:03AM (8/13)- Hawes St/ Beacon St

Peter Wujcik, 28 yrs, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana),

Wujcik was observed weaving through back alleys on his bicycle. Due to the subjects behavior a search was conducted which yielded a glass marijuana pipe, as well as a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana.

  • Occurred on (8/13)- Boylston St/ Brington Rd

Juan Vivanco, 36 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after Suspension, and Revoked Registration.

Police noticed a vehicle traveling with an expired inspection sticker. Upon investigation it was learned the vehicle registration was revoked and the operator’s license was suspended. Vivanco was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10PM (8/05) and 7:30AM (8/06) - 133 Park Street

Victim reports that sometime overnight her headlights were stolen from her vehicle. The approximate cost of the headlights is $400.

  • Occurred between 8:11PM (8/08) and 8:11PM (8/11)- 25 Kent Square

Victim reports his bike was stolen from his porch sometime during a 3 day period. The bike was worth approximately $150.

Threats

  • Occurred between 3PM and 8PM (8/13)- 49 Buckminster Rd

Victim reports she received mail which seemed threatening. This case is still under investigation.

August 12th Police Reports

Burglary

  • Occurred between 10:45AM and 11:30AM (8/05)- 4 Walnut Street

Victim reported that her change purse had been stolen from her unlocked apartment sometime while she was out. The change purse contained a check card, and about $140 cash. The victim stated that in the past other items have been missing from her apartment and items have often times been moved around. Police interviewing a neighbor learned that she sometimes has thing missing from her apartment as well. It appears that most recently oil, food, and soap had been taken. This case is still under investigation.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 1:10AM and 1:14AM (8/12)-730 Commonwealth Avenue

Officers responded to Radio Shack where someone had allegedly punched a glass window, breaking it. Police interviewed a witness but were unable to locate any suspects in the area.

Fare Evasion

  • Occurred at 3:34AM (8/12)- 33 Pond Avenue

Police responded to the scene where a cab driver informed them that a patron had evaded her fare and gone into her apartment building. Police contacted the woman who denied evading the fare and further reported that the cab driver had mad inappropriate advances at her. This case is still under investigation.

Transport

  • Occurred at 8:25AM (8/12)- 100 Centre Street

Police responded to a call for an elderly woman yelling for help. When police arrived the woman identified as Selma Robins age 81 stated she did not need an ambulance and became quite belligerent and irrational with officers. The elderly woman was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Police made attempts but were unable to contact any family members.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 2PM and 5PM (8/12)- 620 Brookline Avenue

Victim reports her rear license plate had been stolen from her vehicle.

August 11th Police Reports

Arrests


Occurred at 2:10AM (8/11) - 171 Boylston Street

Bruno Coelho, 21 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating while Under the Influence of Alcohol, having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, and other various traffic offenses.

An officer on patrol was passed by a vehicle whose operator stuck his head and arm out the window and gave the officer the middle finger while yelling. Upon following the vehicle the officer noticed it swaying across marked lanes as well as committing other various traffic offenses. After pulling the vehicle over it was clear that Coelho was Under the Influence of Alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 12:56 AM (8/11)- Jamaica Way and Pond Avenue

Terrance Blackmon, 22 yrs, was arrested for speeding and Operating after Suspension.

Officers witnessed a vehicle traveling over the posted speed limit. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was discovered the operator’s license had been previously suspended. He was subsequently arrested.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred at 2:41AM (8/11)- 1431 Beacon Street

Officers responded to an alarm and upon arrival noticed the front glass window had been smashed. The owner was notified and the cost of the damage is unknown.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 3:05PM (8/11)- 434 Harvard Street

Victim reported her wallet was missing. The wallet contained a credit card, which she later learned had been charged with $52.23 worth of fraudulent charges.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 2:20AM and 3:40AM (8/11)- 10 Strathmore Road

Victim reports that while entertaining guests at her apartment her purse had been stolen. The purse contained $250 cash, as well as several uncashed checks. This case is still under investigation.

August 10th Police Report

Arrests

  • Occurred at 2:32PM (8/10)-57 Cleveland Road

James Lish, 39 yrs, was arrested for violating a restraining order.

  • Occurred at 10:31PM (8/10)- 800 Boylston Street

Anastasios Pesirides was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license.

An officer witnessed a vehicle traveling well over the posted rate of speed. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was learned the man had a suspended license. He was subsequently arrested.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred at 12:26PM (8/10)- 25 Aspinwall Avenue

Police responded to a caller who claimed of an attempted break in. Victim reported she heard the window of her residence opening she investigated and found it to be ajar.

Injury

  • Occurred between 11PM and 11:14PM (8/10)- Harvard Street/ Kent Street

A dog walking along Harvard Street was electrocuted by a metal plate. The problem was promptly investigated and fixed.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 7AM and 8AM (8/10) - 460 VFW Parkway

Resident reports on going problems with cat litter bags and other trash being found on his residence. This case is sill under investigation.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 1PM and 5PM (8/09)- 1642 Beacon Street

Victim reports a suspect came into her business and asked for a manicure. When the two went downstairs to go into the manicure room the victim’s wallet was in plain view on the table. At that time the suspect claimed she had to go to feed her parking meter, she never returned. The victim noticed her wallet missing a short time later. The suspect is described as a black female in her early 20s 5’-5’1” slender with long black wavy hair. The wallet contained $100 cash and various credit cards and identification.

  • Occurred at 3PM (8/10)- 231 St Paul Street

Victim reports her license plate was stolen from her vehicle. She searched the surrounding area but was unable to locate it.
