Police Reports 1/9-1/10

Not Duly Licensed: 1/9 at 1:10 PM- Harvard St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Harvard St. cross the yellow double line and park facing the wrong direction. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license. The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Burglary: 1/9 between 1:15 and 6:30 PM- Egmont St.

An Egmont St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that she left her apartment at 1:15 PM, and when she returned at 6:30 PM she discovered that someone had entered the residence and rummaged through the apartment. Several laptops and a digital camera were reported stolen. It appears that entry was made through a rear window.

Operating after Suspension: 1/10 at 10:20 AM- Washington St.

A license and registration check revealed that a vehicle had a revoked registration and that the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. The operator was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 1

Burglary: 1/10 between 11:55 and 12:50 AM- Fuller St.

A Fuller St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that she left her apartment at 11:55 AM, and when she returned at 12:50 AM she discovered that someone had entered her residence. A laptop and jewlery were reported stolen. Entry was made through a smashed window on the first floor.

Sector 3

Not Duly Licensed: 1/10 at 11:40  AM- Washington St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Washington St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Washington St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license. The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Sector 4

Operating after Suspension: 1/9 at 1:02 AM- Harvard St.

An officer observed a vehicle make a marked lane violation on Harvard St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. A license and registration check revealed the driver’s license was revoked. The operator was placed under arrest for Operating with a Revoked License. He was also written a citation for Possession of Less than 1 Ounce of Marijuana.

Traffic Offenses: 1/9 at 8:19 AM- St. Paul St./ Aspinwall Ave.

A license and registration check revealed that a vehicle had a cancelled registration. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of St. Paul St. and Aspinwall Ave. The registered owner will be summonsed to court for Unregistered MV and Attaching Plates.

Sector 7

Not Duly Licensed: 1/10 at 9:19 AM- Cypress St./ Milton Rd..

An officer observed a vehicle make a marked lanes violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Cypress St. and Milton Rd. A license and registration check revealed that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license and that she had a warrant out of Somerville District Court. The operator was placed under arrest for the warrant and Not Duly Licensed.

Police Reports 1/9



B&E&L of Motor Vehicle- 1/8 – Winslow Rd
Officer responded to a call of Breaking &Entering in which several items were taken from a motor vehicle. The victim believes he did lock his car, and returned to find the door handle pushed upwards. Several items from inside the vehicle were missing and this is when he notified the Police.

Sector 2
Larceny- 1/8 at 6:15pm – Beacon St
Officer responded for a report of larceny. The caller claims that several weeks ago he had ordered a package and never received it. Delivery was confirmed for several weeks ago by USPS, and was left in the foyer of the building. On this date the caller also noticed a framed photo to be missing from inside his office. The caller believes a resident in the building to be responsible. Police are investigating.

Sector 2
Straight Warrant- 1/8 at 5:55am – Village Way
Officers responded to conduct a warrant sweep issued out of Roxbury District Court. Officers were able to locate the suspect in her home and place her under arrest for Larceny, Uttering False Check, and Forgery of Check.

Sector 4
Operating after Revocation- 1/8 – Harvard St
Officer observed a vehicle make a marked lanes violation and pulled the vehicle over. The operator did not have a copy of his license on him, and provided information that came back false. When he provided his true name and information, it was revealed that his license had been revoked. He was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation and Marked Lanes violation.

Police Reports 1/8



Sector 4
Larceny- 1/7 – Franklin St
Officers responded to a call of a past larceny. The caller reported that on 12/12/12 he received confirmation that his package had been delivered to the front hall foyer of his building. There is no lock to the front hall. The Police advise that you request a signature for confirmation and security of all deliveries.

Operating after Suspension- 1/7 – Beacon & Washington St
Officer observed a vehicle making a U-turn that drove over the curb and caused the officer to apply the brakes. The Officer pulled the vehicle over and a license and registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license status. The operator was placed under arrest and issued citations for Operating after Suspension, Failure to grant Right of Way, and Improper Right Turn.

Sector 9
Operating after Suspension- 1/8 at 6:14am – Hammond Pond Parkway
An Officer using radar observed a vehicle traveling at 56 mph, in a posted 40 mph zone. The officer pulled the vehicle over, and a license and registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended/non-renewable license, while the registration revealed the vehicle had revoked insurance. The operator was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Police Reports 1/4-1/7

Sector 1

Operating after Suspension- 1/6 – St. Paul St

A random query check of a vehicle revealed that the registered owner had a suspended license status. The Officer was able to confirm that the registered owner was the operator at this time and conducted a traffic stop. The operator was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension and Defective Equipment due to the muffler.

Sector 2

Robbery- 1/5 – Aspinwall Ave

Victims called the police to report a robbery the night before. The victims claim they took a cab home, where the cab driver followed them into the foyer of their house demanding more money and then took the victims cell phone. When the victim attempted to retrieve the cell phone, the driver assaulted him and then drove off.

Sector 3

Larceny-Bike: Between 1/3 at 6:00 PM and 1/4 at 3:03 PM- Kenwood St.

A Kenwood St. resident reported the larceny of three bicycles and two bicycle tires from a front porch. The victim stated that the bicycles had been locked to the wooden porch.

Sector 4

Operating after Suspension: 1/4 at 11:47 AM- Chestnut St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with an expired inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Chestnut St. A license and registration query revealed that the operator’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Operating after Suspension: 1/4 at 4:10 PM- Boylston St./High St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Boylston St. at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop at Boylston St. and High St. A license and registration query revealed that the operator’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Operating after Suspension: 1/4 at 7:28 PM- Washington St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with an expired inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. A license and registration query revealed that the operator’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Warrant: 1/4 at 11:00 PM- Washington St.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had two warrants for his arrest out of Roxbury District Court. The officers conducted a traffic stop on Washington St. The operator was confirmed to be the registered owner, and he was placed under arrest for the warrants.

Traffic Offenses: 1/5 at 11:11 AM- Harvard St.

A query of a vehicle’ information revealed that the registration had been revoked. The officers initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. The operator was issued a citation and will be summonsed to court for Operating with a Revoked Registration and Operating an Unregistered MV.

Warrant: 1/6 at 10:09 PM- Washington St.

An individual came to the police station to turn himself in for two outstanding warrants out of Brookline District Court. The individual was placed under arrest for the warrants.

Warrant: 1/6 at 2:57 PM- Harvard St.

An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he had a warrant out of Dorchester District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for the warrant.

Operating after Suspension: 1/7 at 1:51 PM- Beacon St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with an expired inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Beacon St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The operator was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 7

Not Duly Licensed: 1/5 at 11:29 AM- Boylston St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with an expired registration sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license. The operator will be summonsed to court for Operating a MV without a License.
