August 22 Police Reports

ARRESTS

  • Occurred at 2:54AM (8/22)- 675 Washington Street

Adam Garcia, 28 yrs, was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana)

An officer on patrol noticed a man holding a burning object above his head. Upon investigation it was discovered the burning object was the American Flag. A subsequent search of Garcia yielded a pipe with marijuana residue and he was additionally charged.

  • Occurred between 2:06AM and 3AM (8/22)- 1280 Boylston Street

Otman Bezzate, 27 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), and various traffic offenses.

An officer on patrol observed an erratic vehicle traveling on Boylston Street. Upon pulling the vehicle over noticed its driver was heavily intoxicated. A post arrest inventory search of his vehicle yielded a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana.

Violation

  • Occurred at 8:37AM (8/22)- 1 Devotion Park

Police on patrol noticed a dog running in a park without a leash. Because town by laws require dogs to have a leash in that park the owner was cited.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9:30PM (8/21) and 8:30AM (8/22)- 38 Juniper Street

Victim reports his car was broken into sometime overnight. The steering wheel airbag was taken from the vehicle. The value of this item is unknown.

  • Occurred at 10PM (8/21) and 6:30AM (8/22)- 822 West Roxbury Parkway

Victim reports that her car window was shattered and her pocketbook was stolen from the floorboard. The wallet and pocketbook were worth $65 collectively. Inside the wallet were $200 cash and various bank and identification cards.

  • Occurred between n 12:01AM and 10:51AM (8/22)- 106 Laurel Road

Victim reported that her car was broken into overnight and her CVS bag and pocketbook were taken from the vehicle. The value of these items is unknown.

  • Occurred between 10PM (8/21) and 7AM (8/22)- 887 West Roxbury Parkway

Victim reported that her pocketbook had been taken from her unlocked vehicle. The pocketbook was valued at $600; the contents of the wallet were valued at $80 collectively.

  • Occurred between 12:01AM and 12PM (8/22) -19 Pine Road

Victim reports that his car was broken into overnight. Stolen from the vehicle was a pay check for $3,200, $100 cash, a tennis racquet valued at $60 and a computer bag valued at $200.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred at 9:10PM (8/22)- 302 Harvard Street

Police responded to a call of a shoplifter. The victim reported helping a suspect pick out various items of clothing then witnessed the suspect running out of the store without purchasing the items. The suspect is described as a light skinned black female, with a pony tail last seen wearing blue hospital scrubs.

August 21st Police Reports


Violation

  • Occurred at 8:26AM (8/21)- 99 Winchester Street

Police on patrol report seeing a truck unloading its contents while blocking traffic as well as the sidewalk violating the town bylaws. The suspect was cited accordingly.

Expired License

  • Occurred between 6:40PM and 6:50PM (8/16)-133 Park Street

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on a one way street. Upon stopping the vehicle it was learned that the operator’s license had expired; he was issued a citation for Operating with an Expired License.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:15AM and 1:30PM (8/20)

Victim reports that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at work. Inside the wallet were several charge cards which had been fraudulently used to purchase over $5,000 worth of goods.

  • Occurred between 2PM and 4PM (8/07)- 99 Park Street (Lot)

Victim reports leaving a bag unattended in the parking lot for a two hour period and when she returned the bag was missing. The value of the items in the bag is approximately $600.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 9AM and 7PM (8/21)- 8 White Avenue

Victim reports that someone had entered her residence and stolen a laptop computer as well as a flat screen television set. The combined value of these items is approximately $2,700.

  • Occurred between 4:30PM and 7:30PM (8/18)-12 Greenough Street

Victim reports that his son’s social security card had been stolen from his home office. This case is still under investigation.

  • Occurred between 10AM (8/16) and 5PM (8/17)- 615 Heath Street

Victim reported that several of her mother’s personal belongings were missing from her apartment. The items include numerous pieces of gold jewelry as well as a ceramic figurine. The total value of these items is unknown.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 6:40PM (8/07) and 10AM (8/08)- 33 Pond Avenue

Victim reports that his card was fraudulently charged for over $200 for items he did not purchase.

Medical

  • Occurred between 8PM (8/19) and 3:20PM (8/21)- 205 Warren Street

Victim reports that she found a bat in her room when she woke up. Animal control seized the animal and sent it to the lab for rabies testing.

August 20th Police Reports

Malicious Damage


  • Occurred between 8AM (8/01) and 3:09PM (8/20)- Jamaica/Highland Road

Victim reports that $2000 worth of football equipment had been damaged sometime over the month while it had been chained up to a fence.

August 19th Police Reports

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 3PM (8/18) and 6:30AM (8/19)- 335 Harvard Street

Victim informed police that when she arrived for work in the morning she discovered graffiti painted on her business as well as some of the neighboring businesses.

Attempted Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (8/18) and 9:30AM (8/19)- 1870 Beacon Street (4582)

Victim reported that she received a call from her bank asking her to approve a charge, when she checked her purse she realized her debit card was missing; the victim immediately cancelled the card.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:30AM and 1:32PM (8/19)- 637 Washington Street

Victim reported that sometime over a two hour span his car window was smashed and his GPS device was stolen. The GPS unit is valued at $300.

  • Occurred between 6PM and 11PM (8/19)- 8 Bartlett Crest

Victim reports that she had left two bicycles unlocked on her front porch overnight, and when she returned in the morning the bikes were missing. One of the bikes is described as a dark blue Raleigh valued at $300. The second bike is described as a blue Trek with A zipper pouch attached to the seat.

  • Occurred at 3:26AM (8/19)-131 Brook Street

Cab driver reports that a suspect allegedly ran away from the taxi without paying for a $28.95 fare.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8:30Pm and 10:45PM (8/18)- 2 Claflin Road

Victim reports that her vehicles side mirror had been damaged sometime during the evening. The cost of this damage is unknown.

  • Occurred at 1:16AM (8/19)- 950 Commonwealth Avenue

Victim reports that her car window was smashed. No items were reported missing from the vehicle.

  • Occurred at 11:37PM (8/19)- 111 Salisbury Road

Victim reports that someone had damaged her rear windshield by smashing it.

August 18th Police Reports

Robbery

  • Occurred between 10:46PM and 10:51PM (8/18)- Cypress/Kendall street

Victims report that while they were hanging out near their home they were approached by three males who demanded their belongings. Among the items taken were a brown wallet, a cell phone, and a small amount of cash. One of the suspects is described as 16-17 years of age, 5’7” tall weighing 140 lbs, with a wide build. This suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans with a white stripe down the sides and a black oversized t-shirt. This suspect is also described as having short brown hair and slight acne on his cheeks. The second suspect is 16-17 years old with black curly hair, 5’7 125lbs with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing black zip down sweatshirt and a black fitted hat. The third suspect was described as being around 17-18 years old with blonde hair, 6’0” in height, 180 lbs, with a large build last seen wearing a white t shirt.

Operating

  • Occurred at 7:02AM (8/18)- 1378 Beacon Street

Police on detail noticed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit. Upon stopping the vehicle it was learned that the operator’s license was suspended. The man will be summonsed to court for Speeding and Operating after Suspension.

August 17th Police Report

Loud Party

  • Occurred at 12:38AM (8/17)- 673 Washington Street

Police responded to reports of a loud party. The police spoke with the resident and informed him he would be summonsed to court for disturbing the peace.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred at 8:07 (8/17)- 11 Harvard Street

Victim reports two suspects taking a pair of sunglasses and exiting the store without paying. The suspects are described as two black females one of which is 5’9” around 40 years of age with short hair. She was last seen wearing big earrings, with a large white button down shirt with a black tank top underneath, with dark pants. The second suspect is described as about 5’4” tall in her 40’s with curly hair, wearing khaki hat with big sunglasses, and a bright colored shirt.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 5PM (8/16) and 9AM (8/17)- 369 St Paul Street

Victim stated he locked his bike outside his residence overnight. Upon return he noticed the lock and bike missing. The bike is valued at $450.

  • Occurred between 1PM and 1:15PM (8/17)- 637 Washington Street

Victim reported putting her wallet down briefly while filling out paperwork at her doctor’s office. When she went to retrieve her wallet it was missing. The wallet contained about $40-50 cash as well as a senior identification card.

  • Occurred between 8PM (8/11) and 12PM (8/13)- 207 Aspinwall Avenue

Victim reported that about $160 in cash was taken from her unlocked bedroom. This case is still under investigation.
