Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (8/2) and 9:30PM (8/2) – 28 Hawthorn Rd.

Victim stated that his parked motorcycle was found lying on the ground with a great deal of damage. There were no witnesses. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 9:30PM (8/4) and 7:18AM (8/5) – 2 South St.

Victim reported that some unknown person had smashed the right rear passenger window of his vehicle. Victim states that a ladies leather purse, credit cards, and a diamond necklace were missing. There was no other damage to the car.

  • Occurred between 2:00PM (8/4) and 8:00AM (8/5) – 30 Intervale Rd.

Police received a call on found property. Police were able to find the owner who stated that he had a break in of his vehicle the previous night. Victim stated that the only item missing was the bag that the officer had returned. Victim’s car had been left unlocked after the break in, nothing else was missing, and the vehicle had no damage.

Burglary

  • Occurred 11:13AM (8/5) - Cottage St.

Police reported to a Central station alarm that had been set off due to a home break in. upon arrival to the residence police observed that the glass panes from the entry door had been broke, and the door was left unlocked. Police contacted the owner. Victim went through the house to see if anything was missing and found that the master bedroom had been rummaged through. Police located a cigarette box that was unknown to the victim. Detectives will be processing evidence and doing a follow up.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 10:00AM (3/12) and 3:00PM (8/5) – 400 Washington St.

Victim reported that while incarcerated, an individual who had held onto her belongings had used her debit card. Victim stated that the individual was the only person that had custody of the card. Victim’s bank records in regards to the various charges will be placed into evidence. Victim was advised to all the proper jurisdictional police departments that corresponded with the charges on her account.

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (7/28) and 6:50PM (8/5) – 264 Aspinwall Ave.

Victim reported that he had been notified by his bank of a fraudulent check that he had cashed. Victim stated that he had been selling items on the internet and had come across a potential customer. Victim was sent a check that was written for an amount more then what was needed. Victim was told to cash the check, take out the necessary fees/payment, and then write a check back to the provided address for the remaining amount. Victim was advised by the bank to file a police report so that the matter could be investigated.

Larceny

  • Occurred 4:29PM (5/30) – 14 Jefferson Rd.

Victim reported that a package from FEDEX was missing from the room she had placed in. Victim reports that several other packages had been left untouched. Police are following up on the case.

Warrant-Default

  • Occurred 2:42AM (8/5) – 0 Chestnut Hill T Stop

Police questioned a suspicious individual due to the suspect hanging around at a T stop during late hours when the T was not operating. Police learned that the suspect had an outstanding default Warrant for failing to appear. Due to the default warrant suspect was placed under arrest. During an inventory search police had to seize suspects expired license.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (8/1) and 9:00AM (8/3) – 0 Ashville Rd.

Victim reported that her vehicle had been broken into. Victim stated that nothing had been missing but her Steering wheel locking unit, “the club,” had been thrown on the grass.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (7/25) and 11:33AM (7/27) – 302 Harvard St.

Victim reported that graffiti tags had been scratched into the glass windows and glass door of his business. Victim believes the incident may have occurred over the weekend.

Police will be taking photos for evidence.

  • Occurred 1:56PM (8/4) – 1 Gardner Path

Victim reported graffiti marks on the wall of his business. Upon arrival, police noticed several similar markings on different objects around the business. Photos were taken and the area was further examined to see if there were any other markings.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:00PM (8/3) and 7:00AM (8/4) – 22 Searle Av.

Victim reported that his bike was stolen off the front porch of his home.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 7:00PM (7/27) and 10:00AM (7/31) – 30 Griggs Tr.

Victim reported that someone had broken into her vehicle and stolen her golf bag along with all the golf clubs that were in it. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 4:45PM (8/3) and 10:30PM (8/3) – 57 Harris St.

Victim reported that an unknown male suspect was trying to make his way into the house. Victim states that the suspect had walked away quickly once victim had come down the stairs to see why his dog was barking. Victim saw the male get into the driver’s side of an unoccupied vehicle and drive off. The suspect was described as between the ages of 28-32, 5’9,” 150-160lbs, medium build, and unshaven. He was wearing a royal blue collared T-shirt, black shorts, and a white baseball hat. Victim described the vehicle as a 1997-2000 Black Honda Accord.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (8/3) and 11:52PM (8/3) – Pleasant St.

Victim reported that several bottles of body wash and bathroom products had been misplaced. Victim found her bathroom window unlocked and reported nothing had been missing. Police will follow up on the case

Assault

  • Occurred 10:54AM (8/1) – Green St/Harvard St.

Victim reported having been struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk. Victim is in an elderly male. Victim was approached by the suspect and the two got into a dispute. Victim stated that he had been assaulted by the suspect and had sustained an injury. Witnesses reported having seen the altercation between the two individuals and the reported assault. Police took statements from both parties. The RMV check on suspect’s license came back suspended. Suspect was placed under arrest for Assault and battery with dangerous weapon, assault and battery on an elder person, operating after suspension, making a left turn where prohibited by sign, and failure to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk.

Attempted Sex Offense

  • Occurred 9:44PM (8/2)

Victim reported that her boyfriend had arrived at her residence and had attempted to sexually assault her. Police interviewed the victim and she stated where the suspect lives. Police went to the suspect’s place of residence and he was interviewed. Suspect was placed under arrest for Assault with Intent to Rape.

Burglary

  • Occurred 11:55PM (7/31) – 105 Browne St.

Victim stated that someone had entered her home through a rear window and stolen her laptop computer and jewelry. Victim stated that upon arrival, she observed that her window plant in the rear porch had been misplaced and her bedroom was left in disarray. Detectives will be processing the scene.

  • Occurred between 11:00AM (7/31) and 2:00PM (7/31) – 338 Newton St.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his apartment and taken several pieces of jewelry. Victim stated that nothing else had been missing and no other property had been damaged. Detectives were on scene to process and photograph the apartment.

  • Occurred 2:15AM (8/2) – 115 Greenough St.

Police responded to a silent alarm triggered at a local school. Upon arrival, officers discovered two minors inside the school. Officers took the minors to the station and contacted their parents. Officers informed both parties and their parents that a request of a follow-up by a juvenile officer will be made and a criminal complaint will be filed. Officer will be requesting a hearing for a B&E with Intent to Commit Misdemeanor (Trespass).

Flim-Flam

  • Occurred 1:18PM (7/28) – Browne St.

Victim reported that during an apartment search, he was sending money to an individual whom he suspects is scamming him. Victim contacted police after realizing that he was continuously being asked for money and nothing more. Victim contacted his credit card company and stated the issue. Copies of the communication emails were submitted into evidence, as well as an overseas number.

Graffiti

  • Occurred 10:17AM (8/1) – Beacon St/Lancaster Tr.

Police responded to a NSTAR electric box location due to graffiti marks. Police contacted NSTAR who will be removing the cover as soon they are able. Photos were taken of the scene.

  • Occurred 4:19PM (8/1) – Washington St/Bartlett Cres.

Officer responded to a scene of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officer observed graffiti marks on a sidewalk. Photos were taken and the DPW was contacted to have the marks removed.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 5:15PM (8/1) and 5:20PM (8/1) – 170 Middlesex Rd.

Victim reported that her bag was taken from her front yard. She stated that also missing was a Credit Card. Victim stated that she had notified her bank of the theft.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 4:00AM (7/5) and 9:57AM (7/31) – 7 Timon Av.

Victim reported two incidents upon which he discovered a flat tire on his motor vehicle. Victim’s neighbor stated that she had observed another neighbor using an object against the tires one night. The suspected individual will be summoned to court and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (7/30) and 9:00AM (7/31) – 192 Bonad Rd.

Victim reported that her right rear passenger door window of her car had been smashed by an unknown object overnight. Victim stated nothing had been missing from the car. Police are following up on the case.

  • Occurred 3:31PM (8/2) – 227 Babcock St.

Police responded to a call from the HRI Hospital in regards to damage and out of control behavior by a patient. A request has been made to summon patient on charge of Malicious Damage.

Robbery

  • Occurred between 3:38PM (8/1) and 3:53PM (8/1) – 1381 Beacon St.

Victim reported that an individual was seen taking cash out of the store’s register. Victim stated that the suspect was a regular and on this particular day had been accompanied by another male. Victim stated that he had given chase to the suspect after the money was taken, but was unable to keep up. Victim stated that the form of payment was a credit card, but a cross reference surfaced that the name on the card didn’t match the individual who had produced it. The scene was processed and photos were taken. Suspect was located and placed under arrest for robbery (unarmed).

Suicide Attempt

  • Occurred 3:34PM (7/31)

Officers responded to caller’s home in regards to a suicide letter that her husband had left. Area police departments and the MBTA police were placed on alert for the individual. After hours of searching, a witness at a Red Line stop reported having seen him sleeping on a bench. Police located the individual who had taken a great amount of pills. Individual’s wife was notified.

  • Occurred 7:46AM (8/1)

Police were called on scene for an individual who had consumed a great deal of pills in an attempt to overdose. Police will be keeping a periodic check of the individual and make sure that he won’t pose as a threat to himself.
