August 7th Police Reports

ARRESTS

  • Occurred at 2:37AM (8/07)- Mountfort Street/St. Mary’s Street

Yohannes Tsegai, 33 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Police pulled over a car after it failed to stop at a red light. The suspect later identified as Yohannes Tsegai, proceeded to eat a handful of Tic Tacs in front of officers and was quite belligerent through the questioning process. It was clear that Tsegai was driving while under the influence, and he was subsequently placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 9:51AM (8/07)- Monmouth Street/ St. Mary’s Street

James Walker, 51 yrs, was arrested on default warrant.

  • Occurred between 8:10PM and 8:28PM (8/07)- 33 Lawton Street

Enrique Santos, 36 yrs, was arrested and charged with attempted larceny, and trespassing.

An officer on patrol noticed a suspicious person walking in varying directions around this area. The suspect later identified as Enrique Santos was then observed entering particular driveways with no legitimate motive. Upon speaking with Santos it was admitted that he was there to steal bikes from residences to exchange for drugs. A hypodermic needle was also found in his possession. He was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8AM (7/21) and 8:31AM (8/07)- 214 Harvard Street

Victim reported that while reviewing his credit card statements noticed 153 fraudulent charges from Exxon Mobile attributed to his account. He had lost his Exxon speed pass around the same time these charges began. The total amount of charges totaled $5,144.91.

  • Occurred between 6:30PM and 6:50PM (8/04)- 1244 Boylston Street

A woman left her purse unattended for about 5 minutes at Kinko’s and when she returned her wallet was missing.

  • Occurred between 8PM (7/29) and 3PM (8/02)- 41 Auburn Street

Victim reported that sometime over a four day span his GPS navigation system was stolen from his apartment. The value of this item is unknown.

  • Occurred at 1:51AM (8/08)- 48 Marshall Street

Police while questioning a juvenile suspect learned he had just stolen a bike. The juvenile led officers to where the bike was located as well as the location he stole it from. He will be summons to court for Larceny.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 5PM (7/01) and 12:23PM (8/07)-55 Franklin Street

Two graffiti symbols were painted in this area one read “HS” and was located on a do not enter sign.
