On 1/9/2016, an officer
arrived on Longwood Ave for a larceny report. The victim reported that a
package that had been delivered to him and left in the foyer had been stolen.
The package contained varies items.
On 1/9/2017, officers on
patrol, found an abandoned stroller on Washington Street. Officers were unable
to locate the owner in the area. The stroller was transported to and left at
the Brookline Police Department for safe keeping.
On Wednesday
January 11, 2017 at approximately 0549 hours,
Officers responded to the area of Chapel Street and Colchester Street
for a tree that had fallen onto a vehicle.
Brookline Forestry Department was called to remove the tree from
Marklis' vehicle and out of the roadway. The
vehicle sustained heavy damage to the rear of the roof/cab and to the
top of the bed liner.
On 01/10/17
at approximately 22:00 hrs., Brookline dispatch received a notification from St.
Elizabeth's Hospital reporting that they had a party walk in to their
emergency room who was suffering from a wound to the chest from what appeared
to be a pellet gun. After an
investigation conducted by Brookline
detectives a subject was arrested for Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon to
wit BB Gun.
On Saturday
1/7/2017, at approximately 1515 hrs it
was reported to Brookline Police that someone had lost their violin in the
Pleasant Street area. Officers are
reviewing surveillance footage in the area to see if they can locate the
violin.
On January
10, 2016 at approximately 1917 hours Officers we were dispatched to an address
on Chapel Street for a report of a bat inside the home with
unknown exposure. The home owner was
able to contain the bat in a bedroom prior to Officers arrival. Brookline
Animal Control Officer arrived on scene and retrieved the bat, sending it to
the lab for testing. This was due to
possible exposure.
On
01/10/2017 Officers responded to an address on Cleveland Road for a residential
alarm. Upon arrival Officers found that the rear door which accesses the
kitchen had been forced open leaving the inside door frame and door trim trim
in pieces, as well as the door lock latch mechanism damaged. Officers searched
the residence but found no one inside. It appears that small, easy to carry
items were targeted. Detectives arrived to process the scene.
On 1-10-2017
it was reported that a package that had been delivered by UPS had been stolen
from the hallway of an address on New Terrace Rd. The victim reports that none of his neighbors
saw a package or anything suspicious.
On January
10, 2017 , Officers responded to an address on Green Street for a fraud report.
The victim, received a package in the mail from a company called Crutchfield,
however the victim did not order anything and that all the mailing information
on the box was his. He opened the box and inside was a camera lens flash. He
immediately contacted Crutchfield and notified them that he had not ordered the
item. Crutchfield informed the victim that they had all of his proper
biographical information and credit card number. Crutchfield then cancelled the
order and informed the victim that they would be sending an email receipt to
him including the paid postage to return the item through UPS. The next day a man described to be in his late 20's or
early 30's knocked on the victims door and inquired about that package. The
individual was described as a white
male, approximately 5'10", dark hair, wearing a plaid shirt and dark
pants. This individual was looking for the package and offered to return it for
the victim. This individual was very vague and had no delivery company uniform
on or any identification on him. This made the victim suspect something was
amiss. The victim immediately contacted Crutchfield, and he was advised that UPS delivery would be
handling the returned packaged. The victim cancelled his credit card.
On 01/10/17
Officers responded to an address on Babcock Street for a larceny report. A
manager reports money had been stolen from a safe. An investigation is being
conducted.
