Police Reports 12/13

Assault: 12/13 at 1:15pm – Williams St
Detective observed a suspicious suspect walking by several vehicles and glancing inside the interior. Detective later observed the suspect walking from the rear parking lot of a private property. Upon questioning, the suspect became argumentive and displayed a silver pry tool. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Assault with Dangerous Weapons.

Larceny: 12/14 at 2:34am – Carlton St/Beacon St
Officers responded to a report for a dispute involving a taxi driver and a passenger. The taxi driver stated that the passenger, who appeared to be intoxicated, was yelling obscenities, being aggressive and combative. He stated that the passenger struck the left side of his face and kicked the taxi vehicle. The passenger then grabbed a duffel bag from the front passenger seat and emptied out its contents. The passenger will be charged with Assault & Battery, Disorderly Person, Malicious Damage Wanton, and Cab Fare Evasion.

Larceny: 12/05 at 6:00pm – Beals St
Victim reported that his unlocked bicycle was stolen from the gated backyard of his residence. Victim then stated that he saw a posting on the internet of a male suspect who was selling the victim’s bicycle.

Burglary: 12/13 at 2:30pm – St Paul St
Victim reported that someone broke into her residence and stole several items. Victim stated that she locked the door but not the dead bolt. Officer observed small pry marks on the side of the door jam. Scene was processed by detectives.

Fire Building: 12/13 at 1:10pm – Winchester St
Brookline received a call for a fire in the 34 Winchester apartments. Residents were evacuated and the flames were extinguished. Brookline Fire investigated that a contractor was putting up sheet rocks when he hit a wire. The contractor stated that the apartment lost power and he noticed fire on the inner wall wires.

Operating After Suspension: 12/14 at 12:06am – Washington St
Officer observed a vehicle traveling with a rejected state-issued inspection sticker. A query check revealed that the operator had a suspended license status. Operator will be charged with unregistered motor vehicle and suspended registration

Police Reports 12/12

Larceny/Shoplifting: 12/12 at 12:18pm - Harvard St
A loss prevention detective reported that she observed a female suspect steal several items form the store. The suspect appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was slow and lethargic when answering the officers. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Shoplifting - Subsequent Offense.

Not Duly Licensed: 12/12 at 1:10pm - Beacon St
Officers observed a vehicle making an illegal left turn. A registry check revealed that the registered owner had an expired license status. He was placed under arrest and charged for operating with an expired license and for making an illegal left turn.

Fraud: 12/4 at 5:33pm – Harvard St
The business manager of a store reported that there were several unauthorized charges on two of the restaurant’s credit cards. All transactions were in the PA area. The credit cards have since been cancelled and the case is ongoing.

Not Duly Licensed: 12/12 at 8:05pm – Harvard St
A random query check revealed that the registered owner of a vehicle had an expired, non-renewable license status. Owner of the vehicle was placed under arrest and charged with Operating Without a License.

Burglary: 12/12 at 9:30am – Boylston St
Victim reported that she returned home to find that the front door of her apartment was open and her bedrooms were rummaged through. Victim stated that several items of value were found missing. Upon investigation, Officer observed fresh pry marks on the apartment entrance door.

Police Reports 12/10-12/11

Larceny: 12/10 at 12:00pm – Lawton St
Caller reported that two packages were found damaged and had their contents stolen.

Fraud: 12/3 at 8:00am – Kent St
Victim reported that fraudulent charges were made to his account.

Trespassing: 12/10 at 10:18pm – Harvard St
Caller reported that an unwanted person was in the foyer of a property on Harvard St. A query check revealed that the unwanted person was in violation of the No Trespass Order and placed under arrest.

Operating After Suspension: 12/11 at 7:45pm – Woodland Rd
Officer observed a vehicle making an illegal turn on a posted one-way street. A motor vehicle registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license status. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for Operating After Suspension and a One-Way violation.

Police Reports 12/10

VehicleFire : 12/10 at 5:22pm – Boylston St/Lee St
Brookline Police and Fire responded to a report of a car engulfed in flames. Driver of the vehicle stated that as she was proceeding, the vehicle kept slowing down until it was just about at a full stop. As she exited the vehicle with her two grandchildren, the entire engine compartment erupted in flames.

Attempted Larceny: 12/10 at 9:39pm – Linden Pl
Witness reported that he observed a male suspect messing with the nativity scene in front of a church. Suspect will be charged for Attempted Larceny.

Burglary Attempt: 12/10 at 9:45pm – Perry St
Resident reported a call for a male suspect trying to enter residential doors in the neighborhood. Resident stated that they observed the suspect heavily intoxicated and attempting to open apartment doors. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Attempted B&E Nighttime.

Burglary: 12/10 at 6:42pm – Salisbury Rd
Officers responded to a report of a residential alarm that went off. Upon arrival, officers observed several windows damaged and broken. Boston PD’s K9 unit was called to secure the scene from possible suspects inside the home.

ID Fraud: 12/10 at 4:11pm – Washington St
Victim reported that on several separate events, he was stopped by various authorities because they believed that the victim had an active arrest warrant. Officers discovered that a suspect was using the victim’s information to identify himself. The active arrest warrant was issued for the suspect.

Suspicious Person: 12/10 at 6:11pm – Colbourne Cres
Caller reported that a male suspect rang her doorbell, asked if she was busy and then walked away. Suspect is described as a black male in his 30s with short hair, approximately 5'10" wearing a green hooded sweatshirt or sweater.

Possession Marijuana: 12/10 at 2:37pm – Greenough St
Caller reported that a student was found to be in possession of marijuana. Caller stated that there was a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the student’s bag and later discovered marijuana concealed inside an unlabeled prescription bottle. Student will be cited for Possession of Less than one ounce of Marijuana.

Larceny/Shoplifting: 12/10 at 12:59pm - Washington Street
A manager of a store reported that he observed a female suspect place items in her front pocket. Upon approach, the female suspect handed the items to the manager and exited the store. Suspect will be charged for Shoplifting.

Police Reports 12/7-12/9

Revoked Registration: 12/9 at 5:51pm – Harvard St
A random query check revealed that the vehicle had a revoked license stauts. Owner was charged for Revoked Insurance, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Revoked Registration.

Larceny: 12/9 at 9:38am – Fuller St
Witness stated that he observed a black male teenager, 5'8", with short hair and wearing a dark sweatshirt, stealing a bicycling belonging to his neighbor. The bicycle was left unsecured in an opened garage at the rear of the residence..

Straight Warrant: 12/9 at 2:15am – Harvard St/Stedman St
Officer observed that half of a vehicle was in a marked handicap spot while the other half was blocking the driveway to a school. A query check revealed that the owner had a straight warrant. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for the straight warrant.

Operating After Suspension: 12/ 8 at 4:02pm – Harvard St
A random query of the vehicle's registration revealed that the vehicle's registered owner had a suspended driver’s license status. The owner of the vehicle was placed under arrest and charged for Operating after Suspension (License).

Larceny/Shoplifting: 12/8 at 12:47pm – Harvard St
A security officer of a store stated that he observed a female suspect take items from the store and place them into a bag. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged for Shoplifting.

Fraud: Between 8/14 & 9/8 – Freeman St
Victim reported that someone had opened a credit card in his name without his permission.

Possession Cocaine: 12/7 at 10:49pm – Harvard St
Officers responded to a report of a male suspect who had not left the bathroom of a store since 10:00pm. Officer later revealed that the suspect had cocaine and marijuana hidden inside a cigarette box. Suspect was placed under arrest and charged for Possession of Class B and Possession of less than 1 ounce of Marijuana.

Fraud: 12/7 at 2:57 – Jamaica Rd
Victim reported that two unauthorized charges were made to her account in England.

Operating After Revocation: 12/8 at 1:25am – Harvard St
Officer observed a vehicle traveling without a valid inspection sticker. A query of the vehicle's registration revealed that the operator had a revoked license status. Operator will be charged for Operating After Revocation, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Submit Motor Vehicle for Inspection.

Operating After Suspension: 12/8 at 10:07am – Walnut St
A random query on the vehicle revealed that the owner of that vehicle had a suspended license status. The owner was placed under arrest and charged for Operation After Suspension.

Malicious Damage: 12/8 at 6:10pm – Rawson Rd
Victim reported that her vehicle's back windshield was smashed. No items were found missing.

Not Duly Licensed: 12/ 8 at 9:10pm – Harvard St/Coolidge St
A random query of a vehicle's registration with the registry revealed that the vehicle registration was expired non-renewable. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for Operating Without a License and Unregistered Motor Vehicle.
