JANUARY 15, 2020

Officers responded to a business on Harvard St regarding a shoplifting suspect from the day prior that had entered the store. Officers spoke to the individual who admitted to stealing jewelry from the business the day prior, but was now trying to return the item. The individual was summonsed for shoplifting.

At 11:55AM, officers responded to a business on Boylston St for a suspect attempting to steal a motor vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was claiming to be an employee of a car sharing service and was instructed to pick up a vehicle. After confirming with the company that no one was supposed to be picking up vehicles, the suspect was arrested for attempted larceny of a motor vehicle.

An officer responded to a residence on Pleasant St for a package theft report. It was determined that at 1:58PM, the suspect entered the unlocked lobby of the residence and stole the package delivered just minutes earlier. The case is under investigation.

JANUARY 14, 2020

At 3:50PM, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a past shoplifting incident. Staff stated that the suspect entered the store the day before and stole a necklace. The suspect came back into the store today, but did not steal anything. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

JANUARY 13, 2020

At 12:56PM, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. Employees reported that the suspect concealed multiple electronics in his backpack and attempted to leave the store. Employees confronted the suspect who subsequently returned all the items and fled on Harvard St. Officers located the suspect and he was arrested for shoplifting.

At 2:55PM, officers responded to a residence on Village Way to assist medical personnel with a check on well being. While speaking with the individual, he began charging at the officers and refused to listen to their commands. The individual began punching an officer, striking him several times in the chest, arms, face and head. The individual was eventually transported to the hospital and was summonsed for Assault and Battery on a Public Employee.

JANUARY 9, 2020

At 8:00AM, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. The suspect concealed an unknown amount of items in a bag and fled when confronted by an employee. Officers searched the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate them.

At 5:30PM, an officer responded to a residence on Alton Pl for a report of a stolen baby stroller. The victim reported that they left the stroller unattended in the courtyard for a couple hours. When they returned to retrieve the stroller it was no longer there.

At 9:15PM, an officer responded to a business on Washington St for a report of malicious damage. The reporting party stated that a window of the business was smashed with an unknown object, but nothing was stolen.


JANUARY 10, 2020

The Animal Control Officer received a report from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health that a person was bit by a dog in a park on Emerson St. The incident occurred on January 7. The reporting party stated that his daughter was running around the park when she most likely spooked a dog, walking on leash. In response the dog bit the child. There was further information available as to the dog or its owner.

At 1:35PM, an officer took a fraud report. The victim stated that he placed a check in the mail. When checking his financial account, he noticed additional funds were withdrawn. The check placed in the mail was altered to read a larger sum of money than intended to be paid. The check was cashed by an individual it was not intended for.

At 5:15PM, an officer responded to a residence on High St to take a package theft report. The victim stated they ordered several tablets online. The delivery confirmation was for December 5th. On January 6th, the victim realized she never received the items.

At 7:00PM, an officer responded to a business on Beacon St to take a theft report. The victim stated that the suspect entered the store and demanded a refund for a phone. After the refund was processed the suspect became angry and left the store, taking the phone with him. The suspect was summonsed for larceny.


JANUARY 11, 2020

At 12:20PM, an officer responded to the intersection of Beacon St and Dean Rd for a past assault and battery. The victim reported the suspect drove up next to her in a vehicle and began shouting obscenities. A verbal exchange occurred and the suspect then threw loose change at the victim. At least one coin struck the victim in the arm. The case in under investigation.

At 4:30PM, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. The suspect was observed by staff concealing clothing inside his jacket. When confronted, the suspect returned the items and fled out the store. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.


JANUARY 12, 2020

At 1:00AM, officers responded to a park on Dean Rd for a robbery that just occurred. The victim stated that he was selling marijuana to an individual he knew. After making the sale, the suspect and fellow accomplices struggled with the victim to wrestle his keys away. The suspects then stole all of the victims marijuana and additional products from the trunk of his vehicle. All suspects were identified and arrested.

An officer took a report for a theft that occurred in December. The victim stated that they went to a business on Beacon St for an interview. During the interview, the victim left her purse in a locker in the employee section of the business. After finishing the interview, the purse was no longer in the locker.

Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Av for a shoplifting in progress. The suspect was observed by employees, concealing various cosmetic products in a bag. Officers recovered the stolen property and subsequently arrested the suspect for shoplifting.
