Larceny
Occurred between 8:07 PM and 8:09 PM (6/30) – Harvard St.
Police responded to a report of a past shoplifting. The reporting persons stated that they discovered several necklaces missing during inventory and caught the thief on surveillance footage. The suspect, a white male with medium length dark hair and no facial hair was seen placing necklaces into his pants. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between (6/30) 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM (7/01) – Aspinwall Ave.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that her bike had been stolen 4 days earlier. The bike was locked to a pole in front of the victim’s house when it was taken. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred 2:41 PM (7/02) – Beacon St.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that he received a call from his bank and was informed that there were suspicious charges for plane tickets to Brazil made to his account. The victim stated that he did not make these purchases or authorize anyone to do so. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 2:00 PM (7/04) and 9:00 AM (7/05) – Chesham Rd.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim reported that she placed her bicycle at the end of her driveway the previous day and when she returned, it was missing. The bike was left unlocked and is described as a silver woman’s 5 speed touring bicycle with a basket on the handlebars. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 11:00 PM (7/04) and 7:00 PM (7/06) – Beacon St.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim reported that his blue Coleman Cooler, approximately $30 in value, was missing from the rooftop of his residence. He last saw the cooler two nights prior and stated that the rooftop of his residence is easily accessible from a neighboring rooftop. The victim provided police with several leads which the police are following.
Occurred 3:26 PM (7/06) – Boylston St.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that his motor vehicle had broken down along the side of the road in which a suspect offered to assist him. The suspect left shortly afterward and the victim realized his GPS was missing. He described the suspect as a black male, 5'10", round face, light skin with close cut hair about 20-30 years old. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 7:27 PM (6/07) and 7:27 PM (7/06) – High St.
Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that when she went into her bedroom closet to retrieve her laptop computer, she discovered her computer bag empty. She stated the last time she used the computer was one month prior. Items also reported missing included $150, jewelry, and a Nintendo DS. Police are following up on the case.
Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor VehicleOccurred between 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM (7/06) – Clark Rd.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim reported that while his vehicle was parked in his driveway, an unknown suspect had broken into his car and removed his digital camera from the back seat. Police are following up on the case.
Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a ResidenceOccurred between 7:00 PM (7/04) and 12:23 AM (7/05) – Thatcher St.
Police responded to a report of a past Breaking, Entering, and Larceny of a residence. The reporting persons stated that when they returned home, they noticed that the bedroom door to the guest room was shut and locked. This door is normally left unlocked and opened. Items reported missing included computer equipment, two Apple I-Pods, and a Northface backpack. Police are following up on the case.
Arrest
Occurred 12:23 PM (7/02) – Pleasant St. / John St.
Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that he was not licensed to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested for being not duly licensed and was further charged with failure to use a directional while turning, faulty equipment, failure to wear a seatbelt, and providing a false name to a police officer during a motor vehicle stop.
Occurred 5:42 PM (7/02) – Harvard St. / Kent St.
Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that the driver’s right to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts had been suspended. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and further charged with a stop sign violation.
Fraud
Occurred between 2:00 PM (6/19) and 2:00 PM (7/02) – Prince St.
Police took a report of a credit card fraud. The victim reported that she contacted her bank and was informed that her credit card had been cancelled due to suspicious activity. She subsequently became aware of a withdrawal made from her bank account which she did not authorize. Police are following up on the case.
Malicious DamageOccurred between 10:00 AM (7/01) and 10:00 PM (7/05) – Park St.
Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a vehicle. The victim stated that while he was away, he was contacted by his son who reported that his vehicle had been damaged. The air seal caps had been removed from all four tires and the “11” had been scratched off of the registration sticker on the rear license plate. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 11:00 AM and 11:32 AM (7/03) – Juniper St. / Washington St.
Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that she had parked her motor vehicle in front of the Brookline Housing Development and returned to it approximately 30 minutes later. At this time, she observed 3 BB or Pellet gun holes on the side of her vehicle. Police are following up on the case.
Graffiti
Occurred 4:37 PM (7/03) – Harvard St.
Police took a report of a large graffiti tag on the side of a building. After a brief investigation, officers found a spray paint can and a clear latex type glove. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 3:30 PM (7/03) and 8:24 AM (7/06) – Skyline Park
Police responded to a report of a graffiti complaint at Skyline Park. Upon arrival, officers observed graffiti on the park sign, trash barrels, and storage shed door and windows all written in magic marker. The Park Department is going to remove the graffiti and the police will conduct a follow-up on the case.
Occurred 4:09 PM (7/04) – Commonwealth Ave. / St. Paul St.
Police observed a white male wearing a gray tee shirt, shorts and carrying a white plastic bag enter an alleyway which is known to be a hot spot for graffiti taggers. Officers witnessed the subject standing in front of a side door with a magic marker in his hand writing on the door. The subject was subsequently arrested and charged with five counts of Tagging.
Occurred between 11:41 PM (7/06) and 12:30 AM (7/07) – Boylston St.
Police responded to a report of two juveniles who fled the area after being observed spray painting a wall on the side of a local business. The reporting person described the suspects as white males between 15-16 years old, approximately 5’7 in height with a thin build. Police were unable to locate either of the suspects, but will be following up on the case.
Assault
Occurred 8:41 PM (7/03) – Beacon St.
Police took a report of an assault on a cab driver. The victim stated that while parked in the cab stand in Cleveland Circle, another cab driver had beaten him with a belt. The victim showed officers several welts that he had obtained during the altercation. After an investigation, the suspect was located and placed under arrest for assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.
Suspicious ActivityOccurred 6:28 PM (7/04) – Thorndike St.
Police responded to a report of suspicious activity when a citizen stated he observed three white male teenagers standing around a black cat holding either a toy gun or pellet a gun. Police were unable to locate either the male suspects or the animal. Police Animal Control Officer is following up on the case.
