On 11/29/2017 Officers responded to a metered spot on Harvard St. for a traffic crash.   . Both parties were advised to contact their insurance company.  One motor vehicle was privately towed.

On 11/29/2017 Officers responded to Dummer St. for a town tree damaged by a delivery truck. Photographs were taken of the tree and the damage to the truck. Report filled.

On 11/29/2017 Officers responded to an address on Boylston St. for larceny report. The victim reports having her wallet stolen. Officers obtained still photos of the location of where the wallet was stolen. A report was filled.

On 11/29/2017 Officers conducted a traffic stop on Clinton Rd.  Further investigation revealed that the vehicle had no insurance or registration.  The Operator was issued a citation and the vehicle was towed.

On 11/29/2017 Officers responded to an address on Parkway Rd. for a larceny report.  The victim states that they returned home to find two ripped open packages, the contents were taken.  A report was filled.

On 11/29/2017 Officers responded to an address on Harvard Ave of two males attempting to steal packages.  It was reported to Officers that a resident observed unknown males taking packages from her front porch.  A description was given to the responding officers and given to surrounding units. A report was filled.

On 11/29/2017 Officers responded to an address on University Rd. for a fraud report.  The victim stated that they had two fraudulent charges on two separate credit cards.  A report was filled.

On 11/29/2017 and 11/30/2017 Officers responded to an address on Commonwealth Ave. for a fraud report.  It was told to officers that two suspects were using counterfeit ATM cards at different banks. Descriptions of the suspects were given to Officers. A report was filled.

On 11/30/2017 Officers responded to an address on Babcock St. for a reported dog bite. The caller report being bitten by a dog.  Information was exchanged. A report was filled and an email was sent to the Animal Control Officer.

On 11/30/2017 Officers responded to an address on Essex St. for a report of a past Assault.  The victim an Uber driver reported a passenger assaulted him because of the route he was taking.  The suspect was not on scene upon police arrival.  A report was filed.


On 11/30/2017 Officers responded to an address on Boylston St. for suspicious activity.  Upon arrival they encountered a shirtless male working out.  When the male was identified it was revealed that there was a warrant for his arrest. The man was arrested and a report was filled.

11/29/2017

On November 29, while on Patrol an officer observed a vehicle travelling on Harvard St. without an inspection sticker. The officer queried the vehicle and found that the car’s registration and the registered owner’s license were expired. The officer conducted a traffic stop, confirmed the identity of the driver and placed her under arrest for operating without a license. During the interaction, the officer observed the vehicle’s passenger avoid eye contact and reach his hands in his pockets several times. The officer queried the passenger and found that he had two active arrest warrants. The passenger was also placed under arrest.

An officer responded to Parkway Rd. for a larceny report. The victim stated that on November 28 at approximately 1645hrs, her neighbor arrived home and found two packages, one addressed to the victim and the other for another building resident, that had been ripped open and the contents removed. The building vestibule where the packages were found was unlocked.


Officers were dispatched to Harvard Ave. for a report of two males attempting to steal packages. The reporting party stated that she had looked out her window and observed an unknown male party exiting her building with packages in his hand. The woman stated that she then ran onto her porch and yelled out to the suspect causing him to drop the packages in the courtyard. The reporting party stated that she had seen a second male party enter a building a few doors down as well and she took a photo of this male. The incident is being investigated.

11/24/2017-11/28/2017

On Saturday 11-25-2017a resident on Columbia St reported a bat was in her house. No contact was made with the bat and the resident was advised.

On 11-26-2017 a resident on Sewall Ave reported a larceny of a parcel from the front vestibule of their building.

On 11-27-2017 Officers responded to the front desk on reports of a missing person. The information has been entered into the Criminal Justice Information System. The missing party is described as white female, 5'5", 110 lbs. hazel eyes, brown shoulder length hair.  The missing party was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt, black shorts and carrying a dark blue backpack.

On 11-27-2017 Officers responded to Carlton and Montfort St for reports of a traffic crash. No injuries were reported by either party, and 1 vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

On 11-27-2017 Officers responded to an address on Roberts St. for a report of attempted break and enter.  The resident came home and found that their Apt. door was difficult to open and the lock had been broken. Officers searched the apartment and nothing seemed out of place. Detectives arrived on scene and it was determined that access was not gained into the apartment.

On 11-27-2017 Officers responded to an address on St. Paul St. on reports of a Break and Enter.  Officers observed fresh pry marks on the front door to the condo. After looking through the apartment it was realized multiple items had been stolen and property gone through. Brookline Detectives will follow up with video surveillance from the area.

On 11-27-2017 Officers responded to an address on Harris on reports of Larceny from a Building. The resident reports leaving his computer bag in the vestibule for approximately 30 minutes and when he returned it was gone. Officers searched the area but had no luck finding the bag. A report was filed.

On 11-27-2017 Officers responded to the Center Street Lot on reports of an MV accident involving a Bicycle. After an investigation the driver of the MV was cited for Failure to Use Care Entering a Roadway. The cyclist was not injured but his bike was.

On 11-28-2017 Officers responded to an address on Beacon St on reports of vandalism. The reporting party states that damage was done to a fire Pump Room door, and that the damage is new. A request was made for video surveillance footage. Photos of the damage have been taken.

On 11-28-2017 Officers responded to the front desk to take a report for a larceny. The victim reports that their iPhone had been stolen while she was in a meeting at the High School. The phone had ben stolen earlier in the month and the victim is working with her phone provider to assist in shutting the phone down.

On 11-28-2017 Officers responded to an address on Parkway Rd on a package theft report.  The victim reports that she was notified that the package had been delivered earlier in the day, and when she returned home she found an empty box that had been torn open and its contents removed. Officers will request the video surveillance of the area where the box had been delivered. A follow-up with the detectives will be conducted.

On 11-28-2017 a missing person’s report was filed on a resident that lives on Westbourne Terrace. Local police departments and hospitals were notified of the missing person. The missing person is described as a Chinese National, who only speaks Mandarin and was last seen wearing a Green Plaid long sleeve shirt with a Black jacket. He was wearing Black pants with Black Shoes.

On 11-28-2017 Officers responded to an address on Brook Street on reports of a past larceny. The victim reports ordering an item from Amazon which had been delivered to her front porch. When she returned home the package was missing, but in a trash barrel close by was an empty Amazon   box. The box was placed into evidence.
