September 5, 2019

At approximately 5:30 PM Officers were dispatched to Beacon Street for the report of a stolen bike. Once on scene Officers met with the reporting party who told police that he had left his bike unlocked, leaning against a tree and went into a store. While in the store the reporting party was alerted by another patron that someone just stole his bike. The reporting party began to chase after the suspect. The reporting party was able to flag down a Boston University Police Officer who attempted to help him locate the bike. The bike was equipped with a GPS tracking device and after a brief search was found dumped in a nearby alleyway. The reporting parties’ saddle bags (which were attached to the bike) appeared to be mostly undisturbed; however a large amount of cast was missing.  Police are investigating.


September 4, 2019

At approximately 9:46 AM Officers were dispatched to Green Street for the report of a past breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.  Officers met with the reporting party who informed police that he parked his car on September 2nd and went to work.  He returned to his vehicle on September 4th and noticed his glove compartment open and the contents emptied onto the passenger seat.  Police are investigating.

At approximately 10:54 AM Officers responded to a report of a stolen package on Pleasant Street. The reporting party stated that they had received a notification from Amazon showing that their package had been delivered, but there was no package found. Police are investigating.

 September 2, 2019

At approximately 4:10 PM Officers responded to several reports of a tall male, wearing maroon pants and white T-shirt walking on Walnut Street throwing fireworks at and near people. Upon arrival Police made contact with a man who matched the description. The man then became aggressive and irate and began shouting and swearing at police.  He refused to stop and answer any questions.  Officers attempted to quell the situation by advising the man the reason for stop but he continued to yell and swear, and refused to cooperate with police. A witness then identified the man as being the same man who was setting off fireworks moments before. The man was then placed under arrest for Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Fireworks and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (box cutter).

September 3, 2019

At approximately 10:00 AM Officers responded to a report of a man threatening people with a knife and screaming on Babcock Street. Once on scene officers observed a person matching the description. The suspect told police that he had put the knife in his car. Officers spoke with multiple witnesses who gave matching stories of what transpired. The witnesses told police that the suspect was swearing and yelling and threatening to kill them. The suspect was then placed under arrest for 4 counts of Assault with a Danger Weapon and possession of a Class B substance.
August 30, 2019

At approximately 11:00 AM officers responded to a call for a report of a larceny from a building on Beacon street. Officers met with the reporting party who informed police that at approximately 10:30 AM they were doing a routine check of the front foyer and mail room of the building when she noticed a package that was left there and appeared to have been open. The owner of the package was advised.  Police are investigating.

August 31, 2019

At approximately 8:40 AM a resident came into the police station to report a car break that occurred the night before. She informed the officer that she had parked her car in her driveway on Jamaica Road and left it unlocked. At approximately 8:00 AM the reporting party went to her car and noticed her purse open and the contents spilled on the passenger seat. The victim had a credit card and a very small amount of cash stolen from her purse.
