March 14


4/14/2020 at approximately 0955, Officers in Coolidge Corner, witnessed a male with a beard wearing a yellow jacket, dark jeans,  and red sneakers walking towards them carrying a brown paper bag.  They also observed another  male subject wearing a blue jacket with blue jeans wearing a medical mask confront the male subject with the yellow coat on about the shopping items.  After an investigation it was found that the first subject had shop lifted from a local store. Items were returned and the subject will be summonsed into Brookline Court for Shoplifting MGL Ch. 266/30A

4/14/2020 Officers responded to a business on Beacon St. for a customer disturbing. Brookline dispatch stated that a while male in his 20s with brown hair was refusing to pay. The subject then fled the store prior to the Officers arrival. A vehicle description was broadcast however Officers were  unable to locate the subject.  

4/14/2020 A resident of park St. reported that  sometime between 4/12/20 and today 4/14/20, she noticed her vehicle, had been rummaged through and $1.50 in change had been taken from the center console. A report has been filed.

4/14/2020 Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave,  for a report of shoplifting. The subject fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.  Officers searched the area but were unable to locate.

March 13th



4/13  Officers took a report of a car break on Dummer St.  The victim reported that they had parked their car in the garage, and when they went to the car this morning it had been rummaged through and multiple items were taken.
 
4/13 Officers took a report of a car break on Washburn Terr.  The victim reported that they had parked their car in front of their house overnight, and in the morning they found it had been rummaged through and multiple items were taken.

4/13 Officers  took a report from a resident on Beaconsfield Rd for stolen packages.   The resident reported to the Officers that there were multiple packages delivered to their address.   When they went to retrieve the packages they were gone.

4/13 Officers responded to an address on Park St for a B&E&L of a motor vehicle.  The victim reports parking his car in the parking lot last night at approximately 9:00pm and left it unlocked.  When he returned today at approximately 10:30am he observed that the glove box was ajar.  He discovered that $1.00 was missing from the center console cup holder. A follow-up will be conducted.

4/13 Detectives working with Boston Detectives identified a person possibly stealing packages from an address on Washington St. in Brookline.  The subject was stopped by Brookline Detectives and an investigation followed.  The subject was identified and advised that he will be summonsed into Court for Larceny, and he was sent on his way. 

4/13/ A Brookline resident arrived at the Brookline Police Station to report that her car had been parked, on  04/12/2020 at approx. 0730 hours in the rear of her residence in her assigned spot.  When she returned to the car today, at approx. 0800 hours, she noticed that the center console was open and some items had been taken out. The victim believes the only item taken was a men’s jacket.

4/13/  At approximately 1501 hours Officers were dispatched to Circuit Rd for wires down.  Upon arrival at that location the officer  observed a large Town of Brookline Tree that had fallen on top of two houses on  Circuit Rd. The Officer then noticed that the tree had fallen on top of high voltage power lines, and that they were still attached to the electrical poles. At this time Brookline Fire arrived on scene.  No injuries were reported.

4/ 13 A supervisor responded to Elliot St for a report of a town tree that fell and damaged a fence and roof. Upon arriving on scene the Officer observed that the front of the house was on Eliot St while the rear of the house was on Craft Rd. Contact was made with the owner of the property and no injuries were reported.  Town Forestry Dept. was notified and arrived on scene.

4/13 Officers responded to an address on Nelson Drive for a report of a town tree that fell and damaged a fence and roof. Upon arriving on scene I observed that a large branch of a town tree that is in the rear of the property had broken off and fell due to high wind. The branch fell on the rear white venal fence breaking several sections. It also damaged a newly purchased volleyball net. The Officer also observed damage to the roof of the garage. Photographs were taken of the damage. The Officer spoke with the property owner and no injuries were reported.

4/13 Officers responded to the CVS on Commonwealth Ave, for a report of multiple shoplifters. Officers responded and searched the area for the suspects. Upon arrival at CVS officers spoke with the Store Manager  who reported  that two males had just taken various items from the store and fled down Saint Paul St towards Dummer St. A still photograph of the suspects to send out to responding police units. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.  A copy of the security video footage will be made and turned over to Brookline Detectives for a follow-up.

4/13 Officers responded to an address on Harrison St for a report of a Town tree branch that fell onto a vehicle parked in a private driveway. Officers and Town Forestry personnel observed a large branch that fell from the Town tree on the sidewalk due to the heavy winds and rain today. Part of the branch landed on the rear of a Chevy Volt in the driveway causing minor damage to the vehicle. The Forestry workers were able to remove the branch.  The residents were not home at this time.

April 10- April 13, 2020



04/10- Officers were called to a store in Coolidge Corner (Harvard St) to take a report of a stolen wallet.  The victim reported that they had dropped their wallet within the store, and when they went to look for the wallet, it was gone.  Store employees were able to confirm through video that an unknown subject picked up the wallet, and nothing was turned into the store as found proprety.

04/11- Officers took a report from a resident of Amory St.  The resident reported that their vehicle that had been parked in a garage on Dummer St. had been entered during the night and multiple items were taken. 

04/11 Officers responded to a residence on Summit Ave and spoke to multiple residents who reported that multiple packages that were delivered to the building had been opened and gone through. 

04/12- Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave for a reported shoplifter.  Employees reported to the Officers that a customer had left the store without paying for multiple items.

March 12- April 10, 2020


3/12 Officers responded to take a report of a U-Haul for a report of a vehicle that was not returned.  The vehicle was reported stolen.

03/15 Officers responded to a residence on Tappan St.  Officers took a report for the damage that occurred to the victims vehicle that had occurred overnight in the parking spots behind the building.

3/20 Officers responded to a  business on Beacon St to take a report for shoplifting.  The store employee reported to police that two unknown parties entered the business and left with merchandise without purchasing. 

3/20 Officers responded to a residence on Salisbury Rd and took a report for a stolen bicycle

3/31 Officers responded to a residence on Pleasant St and took reports for multiple storage units that had been entered and items stolen.

3/22 Officers responded to Browne St to take reports for multiple storage units that had been entered and items stolen.

3/22 Officers took a graffiti report at a residential building on Longwood Ave.

3/23 Officers were called to the area of Pleasant St and Freeman St for a report of a suspicious  vehicle. The result was two adults placed under arrest.

3/24  Officers served an arrest warrant on Babcock St, one adult was arrested.

3/24  Officers took a report for damage to a residential building on Park St.

3/24  Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave and took a report for a shoplifter.  One adult will be summonsed into court.

3/25  Officers were called to James St and took a report for a stolen bike.

3/26   Officers took a report for graffiti on a building on Harvard St

3/27   Officers responded to a business on Beacon St to take a report for an overnight break.  Employees arrived to work and reported that there was damage to the store as well as items missing.

3/31  Officers took a report for stolen items out of a residence on Beaconsfield Rd

3/31  Officers took a report of a package theft off of Euston St.  The victim reported that the package had been torn open and the contents were taken.

3/31  Officers responded to a business in Coolidge Corner on Beacon St. Employees informed officers that an unknown party left the store without paying for items.  Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the unknown person.  A report was filed.

3/31 Officers responded to a business in Coolidge Corner on Beacon St.  Employees reported to the officers that they had observed a customer taking items and attempting to leave the store without paying. 

04/01 Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave for a reported shoplifter who had left the store without purchasing the items in possession.

04/01 Officers responded to Chapel St and took multiple reports of cars being broken into over night within a parking garage. 

04/01  Officers responded to a residence on Boylston St and took a report of a break that occurred.

04/04  Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave for a report of a shoplifter.  Employees informed the Officers that a customer had come into the store and left without purchasing items.  Officers were able to identify the customer and one adult will be summonsed into court.

04/05 Officers took a report from multiple residents on Winslow Rd.  The victims all reported that at some point over night their vehicles had been entered and in most cases multiple items were taken.

04/05  Officers took a report from a resident on Naples Rd.  The victim reported that at some point overnight their vehicle had been entered and multiple items were missing.

04/05  Officers took a report for equipment stolen out of a construction site on Verndale St.

4/5  Officers took a report of malicious damage to a religious institution on Harvard St.  The victim reported graffiti that was found to be a hate crime.   And investigation is ongoing.

04/06  Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave and took a report of a shoplifting.   Officers will be summonsing in one adult for shoplifting.

04/06  Officers took a report for a bicycle theft from Washington St.

04/07 Officers responded to Warren St for a single reported gun shot. The incident took place outside, and there was a small group on scene when officers arrived..  While the investigation is still ongoing, the incident appears to be the result of a dispute between two parties that were known to each other, neither of whom reside at the monastery. Two parties were placed under arrest as a result

4/9  Officers responded to a business on Harvard St in Coolidge Corner for a shoplifter.  Officers were able to locate the shoplifter and one adult was placed under arrest.

04/09  Officers took a report of a a motor vehicle that was entered overnight in the driveway and multiple items were taken. 

04/09 Officers took a report from a business on Beacon St in Coolidge corner for a shoplifting.

04/09 Officers took a report from a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting.

04/09  Officers took a report for Graffiti for a building on Harvard St in Brookline Village.
