February 16, 2021


2/10/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the victim stated that they received a letter from the office of unemployment from another state. Since the victim did not claim unemployment benefits and never worked in another state, they contacted police.

2/11/2021 BREAK AND ENTER OF  MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to a motor vehicle breaking and entering on Stetson St. where the victim stated that they discovered their vehicle with the driver door and glove compartment open. Detectives are currently in the process of obtaining surveillance footage.

2/11/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. The suspect was stopped later by officers. Items were recovered and the perpetrator was arrested.  

2/11/2021 BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a report for bike theft on Walnut St. where the reporting party stated that two bikes were missing from the storage area of the building. Detectives are currently investigating.  

2/11/2021 DISTURBANCE - Officers responded to a disturbance at a food establishment on Harvard St. where the patron refused to pay for their meal. The manager's attempt to resolve the issue was in vain. Officers arrived to deescalate the issue and the perpetrator will be summoned to court. 

2/11/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Harvard St. where the store manager stated that multiple parties entered the store and left with several items. Detectives are currently investigating surveillance footage.

Officers received 8 reports breaking and entering of Motor Vehicles from 2/12 - 2/15

2/12/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a report of package theft where the reporting party stated that upon returning from vacation, they discovered packages missing. 

2/12/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a shoplifting on Beacon St. where the suspect left the store with multiple merchandise on a bike. Officers are currently checking if there is any surveillance footage near the area.

2/13/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft where the reporting party stated that they were notified that their packages were delivered but nothing came to their home. Upon contacting FedEx, they advised the victim to contact police.

2/14/2021 DAMAGE TO A MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to a report of malicious damage on Harvard St. where the reporting party stated that when they returned to their vehicle, scratches on their hood had appeared along with a note attached to the windshield wipers.

 2/15/2021 DAMAGE TO A MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle on Beacon St. The reporting party stated that they returned to their vehicle with key marks on the drivers side as well as multiple stickers place on the vehicle.

February 26, 2021

 2/23/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a past breaking and entering where the victim stated that their laptop was stolen from their apartment. There's a possibility that the apartment door was kept ajar that night but the reporting party was sure that it was locked. Nothing else was missing from the apartment and detectives are currently investigating the case. ___________________________________________________________________________________

2/24/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a party reporting identity theft where a loan was requested under their name. Their personal credentials had been compromised so they contacted police.

2/24/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a party reporting identity theft where the party's PayPal and credit cards were compromised and unauthorized purchases were made. The party contacted police due to the fraudulent activity.

2/25/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a breaking and entering to a party's garage. They discovered a door open and the deadbolt broken. However, nothing was taken from the garage. Detectives are currently following up on the case.

2/25/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraudulent unemployment claim where the reporting party received a letter saying that the requested unemployment benefits. 

March 2, 2021

2/26/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a report of a break and enter of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that they returned to their vehicle in the morning with their things rummaged around and coins missing. 

2/26/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the victim reported unauthorized usage of their bank accounts. The victim reported to their bank to dispute the charges in hopes that they are still pending. They were also advised to notify a credit bureau and the Federal Trade Commission/

2/26/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a break and enter of a motor vehicle where the reporting party returned to their vehicle with their belongings missing and the rear view mirror misaligned. Detectives are currently following-up on this case.

2/27/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to report of fraud where the reporting party received a letter stating that they claimed unemployment benefits from another state. Since they did not file for unemployment, they contacted police.

2/28/2021 BREAK AND ENTER - Officers responded to a break and enter of a motor vehicle on Beacon St. where the victim returned to their vehicle with the driver's seat pushed all the way back and their belongings rummaged through. Detectives are currently following up on this case. 

2/28/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of identity theft where the victim stated that there personal information had been used for a internet service account. The party contacted the service to close the fraudulent account. They contacted police and was advised to monitor their bank accounts.

3/1/2021 BICYCLE THEFT - Officers responded to a bike larceny where the reporting party left their bike in a garage on Beacon St. They returned and discovered their bike missing. They contacted the building's security in order to get surveillance.
