Arrest: Occurred on 3/30 at 12:29 AM- Beacon St.
A query of a vehicle’s registration revealed that the registration was revoked and that the registered owner had a suspended license. The query also revealed that the registered owner had a warrant out for her arrest. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Beacon St. and Centre St. The driver was positively identified as the registered owner, and she was placed under arrest. She was charged with the warrant out of Attleboro District Court, Operating after Suspension, Operating after Revocation, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Arrest: Occurred on 3/29 at 5:55 PM- Commonwealth Ave.
Officers responded to a bank on Commonwealth Ave. for a report of an individual who was suspected of opening fraudulent accounts. A bank employee stated that an individual was in the process of opening new checking accounts when he was alerted that someone using the same name had opened fraudulent accounts in the past. Bank employees had been instructed to inform the police if such an individual attempted to open a new account with said name. The individual consented to a search of his bag, which revealed checks from other fraudulent accounts that he had opened. The subject was placed under arrest for larceny under false pretence.

A vehicle was traveling on Boylston St. with an expired inspection sticker. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Police Reports 3/28-3/29
Robbery: Occurred on 3/28 at 8:07 PM- St. Paul St.
Officers responded to a St. Paul St. address for the report of an unarmed robbery. The victim stated that she was walking towards her St. Paul St. residence talking on the phone when she observed an unknown subject on her front porch. When she approached the front door, the subject walked away and down the steps. The victim stated that as she was entering her residence, the subject came up the steps and grabbed her from behind, stealing her cell phone.
The victim stated that the suspect fled down the driveway that is adjacent to the building towards the rear of the building. The victim described the suspect as a dark skinned male, 5'10" to 6' tall, wearing dark clothes. Officers spoke to several people in the area who witnessed the fleeing subject. The suspect was described by these witnesses as a medium to dark skinned male, 5'10" to 6' tall, mid 20's, full beard, stocky build, black knit “beanie” type hat, wearing dark clothing. Officers checked the area but could not locate the suspect. Boston K9 was able to hit on a scent in the driveway, but lost the scent in the area that the suspect reportedly jumped over. The investigation is ongoing.

The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

A vehicle failed to stop for the stop sign located at the intersection of Marion St. and Park St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Marion St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that she did not have a valid license for operation in Massachusetts. The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

A vehicle was traveling with an obstructed rear license plate. The officer conducted a traffic stop at Willow Pond Rd. and the Jamaica Way. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

A vehicle was traveling on Newton St. when it took a turn onto Grove St. without stopping for a red light. The officer conducted a traffic stop as the vehicle turned onto Allandale Rd. A vehicle pulled into the rotary at Horrace James Circle at Hammond St. without yielding. The officer conducted a traffic stop on West Roxbury Parkway. A query of the operator’s information revealed that he did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Beacon St. and James St. It was confirmed that the operator was in fact the registered owner. Burglary: Occurred on 3/26 at 6:34 PM- St. Paul St.
A St. Paul St. resident reported a burglary. The victim stated that items had been stolen from his storage unit while he was away on vacation. When the victim returned home, he noticed that the storage unit door was damaged and the lock was broken. Several other storage units in the building have recently been broken in to.

Police Reports 3/23-3/26
Arrest: Occurred on 3/24 at 7:09 AM- Colchester St.
Officers were conducting a follow up investigation into a burglary that had occurred on 3/22 on Davis Ave. The victim reported that a GPS feature from his stolen IPAD was displaying a position at a Dorchester business. The officers were able to locate the IPAD as well as a digital camera from an employee. The employee stated that he had bought the items from a male subject, and officers were able to view surveillance video of the subject making this transaction. The IPAD was identified as property stolen in the 3/22 burglary. The camera was identified as property taken from a separate break on Davis Ave., also on 3/22.
On 3/24, a subject was arrested on Colchester St. for a breaking and entering. Officers identified the arrestee as the same individual who they witnessed selling the stolen goods in the surveillance video. Also in the arrestee’s possession was a Charlie Card that had been taken from an Alton Pl. residence on 3/17. Based on the information, the arrestee will additionally be charged with two counts of receiving stolen property. The investigation is ongoing.

A vehicle was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Washington St. and Brookline Ave. A query of the vehicle’s registration revealed that the registered owner had a warrant out for his arrest. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Washington St. It was confirmed that the operator was the registered owner, and he was placed under arrest.

A vehicle failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Beacon St. and Harvard St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.
OUIL: Occurred on 3/24 at 3:28 AM- Boylston St.
A vehicle was traveling on Washington St. at a high rate of speed. The vehicle continued onto Boylston St. where it veered from lane to lane several times. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Boylston St. Upon reaching the driver’s window, the officer could dectect an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Based on the observations, the driver was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.

A vehicle failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Walnut St. and Cypress St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Cypress St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he did not have a valid license. The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.
Larceny: Occurred on 3/25 at 2:00 PM- Harvard St.
An individual reported the larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that she had left a bicycle unlocked on the bike rack at the entrance of the Devotion School. When she returned 45 minutes later, the bicycle was missing.
B&E Motor Vehicle: Occurred on 3/23- Kennard Rd.
An individual reported a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she parked her car on Kennard Rd. When she returned to the vehicle, she discovered that the rear passenger window was smashed and a GPS unit had been stolen.

Suspect arrested for Breaking and Entering
Shortly after seven AM on 3-24-2012 Brookline Dispatchers received a call for a live break and entering. Officers were dispatched to the location on Colchester Street. Dispatch gave out the description of the subject who had not gained entry to the house. He was now reported to be walking away towards Carlton Street. A responding officer spotted the subject trying to climb onto a balcony on another house on Carlton Street. The subject was stopped and subsequently placed under arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Brookline district court on Monday facing the following charges.
Breaking and Entering in the Day time, with intent to commit a felony.
