May 1st Police Reports

May 1, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred between 5:30 PM and 6:10 PM Harvard St./ School St.

Subject was arrested and charged with speeding and operating to endanger and refusing to stop for a police officer.

While directing traffic on Harvard Street police observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed, pass stopped cars waiting to take left turns. Police tried to stop the subject but he continued to speed down the street. The subject was later stopped at Harvard and School Street and placed under arrest for speeding, operating in a harsh and objectionable manner, and operating to endanger.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 10:00 PM 4/30 and 1:00 AM 5/1 89 Marion St.

Victim reports that during the night someone illegally entered his vehicle. Taken from the vehicle was a GPS unit, which was mounted on the center of the windshield and visible from the street. There were no signs of forced entry.

Indecent Assault and Battery

  • Occurred at 11:30 PM 228 Winchester St.

Victim reports that while she was walking down Winchester Street she was sexually assaulted by a Hispanic male. She states that while she was returning home she stopped to talk to the suspect when he suddenly pushed her and pinned her down on the stairs and then sexually assaulted her. He then dragged her further up the street and into a gray colored SUV that was occupied by three other males. After a short time the assailants let her out of the vehicle. The victim was not able to describe the other men in the vehicle but described her attacker, as a Hispanic male with short, slick curly hair and a round face.

April 30th Police Reports

April 30, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 6:56 PM 72 Stedman St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving without a license.

After being stopped for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for not being duly licensed.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:30 AM 4/29 and 11:30 AM 4/29 Longwood Ave.

Victim reports that she was pick-pocketed while walking down Longwood Ave. She states that she was walking when a woman bumped into her. After a couple of minutes she checked her bag to make sure everything was there and noticed that her purse was missing. The victim describes the suspect as a middle aged, white female, 5’6, with shoulder length hair.

Shoplifting

  • Occurred at 10:17 AM 730 Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to Beacon St for reports of a past shoplifting of a computer. When they arrived they spoke to the employee who saw the incident take place. He stated that while he was helping a customer at the counter he noticed a man walk into the store. He described the second customer as a college aged, white male with tan skin, approximately 5’8 to 5’10, weighing 180 lbs. wearing khaki pants, a grey sweatshirt with a black t-shirt underneath, and was carrying a dark colored back-pack. The employee stated that he did not see the suspect take the computer, nor exit the store. When the employee walked over to the register he noticed that the computer was missing.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:32 AM Clyde St. / Whitney St.

Subject was arrested and charged with driving with an expired license.

After being stopped for a traffic offense, police placed the subject under arrest for not being duly licensed.

April 28th Police Reports

April 28, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 7:53 PM 10 Brookline Pl.

Subject was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police responded to reports of a past assault and battery. When they arrived they met with the victim who stated that two men had approached him and asked him for a lighter. When the victim told them that he did not have one, the assailant kicked him in the neck and face area. Police later found two men walking down the street that matched the description that was given to them by the victim. The suspect that kicked the victim was then placed under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 7:41 AM 4/18 and 7:41 AM 4/28 354 Harvard St

Victim reports that sometime over school vacation a desk top computer was stolen from one of the class rooms. The computer is valued at $500.00.

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 4/24 and 12:00 PM 4/26 175 Freeman St.

Victim reports that two packages that were delivered by mail were missing from the front lobby desk of the building. One of the packages contained clothing valued at $370.00 and the other contained a computer valued at $1,300.00.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 9:00 PM 4/24 and 8:37 AM 4/25 42 Clark St.

Victim reports that his vehicle had been broken into during the night. He stated that he left his vehicle inside his garage, and when he returned to it in the morning he noticed that his center console was wide open. Missing from the vehicle was $20.00 in change and his GPS unit.

  • Occurred between 9:18 AM and 9:30 AM 18 Still St.

Victim reports that someone attempted to break into her vehicle. When police arrived they observed pry marks on the driver’s side rear door. No entry was gained.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 4/19 and 10:00 AM 4/24 26 Glen Rd.

Victim reports that someone had entered his open garage and stole a circular saw and an 18volt cordless drill.

April 26, 2008

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 11:30 PM 4/24 and 7:00 AM 4/26 77 Marion St.

Victim reports that someone had broken into her vehicle and stole her AM/FM CD player. The vehicle’s right passenger window was off its track as if something was wedged between it and the frame of the window causing it to be dislodged.

April 27, 2008

Shoplifting

  • Occurred at 3:22 PM 302 Harvard St.

Police responded to reports of past shoplifters. When police arrived they spoke to the loss prevention officer that stated that he observed two male subjects attempt to shoplift several items from the store. He stated that he observed the two males enter the store with paper bags and approach the women’s section of the store. They then proceeded to fill the bags with several items totaling $750.00. The employee stated that when he approached the subjects they dropped the bags and fled the store down Beacon St. They were described as dark skinned Hispanic males, both 5”8 about 160 lbs. One had a shaved head, a grey t-shirt over a white long sleeved shirt and blue jeans. The other male was wearing a white hooded sweat shirt, a baseball cap and blue jeans.
