SHOPLIFTING - Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated they witnessed an individual take an item from the shelf then proceeded to leave the store. When confronted, the individual fled the area. The matter is under investigation.

MV THEFT - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of a theft of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left their vehicle running with the key in the ignition and returned to discover it missing. Officers have since recovered the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.


Tuesday, February 22

ASSAULT - Officers took a report of an assault that occurred at the Longwood Av MBTA stop. The victim was inside the kiosk at night when a male individual entered the kiosk and stabbed him multiple times with an unknown object. The suspect then fled the area on foot, and the victim was transported to the hospital. The matter is under investigation.

PACKAGE THEFT - Officers were called to Dean Rd for a report of a package theft. The reporting party stated that they received confirmation that the packages were delivered, but when they went to collect them, the packages were gone. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers responded to Harvard St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they returned to their vehicle and discovered it had been rummaged through and property was missing. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated that they discovered multiple fraudulent charges had been made to their debit card. The matter is under investigation.

MV THEFT - Officers were called to Babcock St for a report of a theft of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left the vehicle running, with the keys inside, and when they returned, the vehicle was gone. It has since been recovered, and the individuals responsible have been placed under arrest for theft of a motor vehicle.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers took a report of malicious damage done to a motor vehicle in the area of Beacon St and Lancaster Tr. The reporting party stated they discovered several scratch marks along the body of the vehicle, as well as several ovals and circles carved into the paint. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Sewall Av for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they were contacted by an individual claiming to be from Eversource. The individual then claimed there was an outstanding balance that needed to be paid off or else the power would be shut off in 30 minutes. The matter is under investigation.

AUTO PARTS THEFT - Officers were called to Walnut St for a report of a theft. The reporting party stated they discovered that the tailgate, bumper, and license plate had been removed from their vehicle overnight. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers responded to South St for a report of a theft. The reporting party stated that a group of individuals took a golf cart from the premises but later abandoned it. The golf cart has been recovered, although it sustained damage. The matter is under investigation.

PACKAGE THEFT - Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of a package theft. The reporting party stated they received packages but discovered two individuals stole them overnight. The matter is under investigation.

MV THEFT - Officers responded to St Paul St for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left their vehicle in their assigned parking spot and discovered it was missing the next morning. The matter is under investigation.

FALSE PRETENSE - Officers took a report of a theft that occurred on Pleasant St. The reporting party stated they were approached by an individual claiming they needed money to get back to their home country and offered jewelry as collateral. The reporting party later discovered the jewelry was fake. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Brook St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they discovered the center console had been rummaged through and property was missing from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers responded to Park St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they discovered the door open and that the compartments had been rummaged through. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of an internet fraud. The reporting party stated they contacted an individual claiming to be a rental manager of a property. The individual requested payment for the property but dropped contact after the money was transferred. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Aspinwall Av for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they discovered items that had been inside the vehicle was scattered around on the ground outside and noticed property was missing. The matter is under investigation.

COUNTERFEIT - Officers responded to Commonwealth Av for a report of counterfeit money. The reporting party stated an individual attempted to pay with a bill that was not a legitimate form of currency. They will be summonsed to court for uttering counterfeit bills.

ASSAULT - Officers were called to the area of Harvard St and Beals St for a report of a fight in progress. The victim stated they had been cut off by another vehicle, and the suspect later confronted them and struck them multiple times. The suspect will be summonsed to court for assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

LARCENY - Officers were called to Cummings Rd for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they parked their car on the street and later noticed, while driving, that it was making a loud sound. They discovered that the catalytic converter had been removed from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers responded to Boylston St for a report of a theft of a cellphone. The reporting party stated that, while exchanging information after a motor vehicle crash, the other party involved asked for their phone to input information but drove away with the device. 

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Leverett St for multiple reports of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they discovered their vehicles, which had been left unlocked, had been rummaged through and property was missing. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers took a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle that occurred on Cameron St. The reporting party stated they left their car unlocked in the driveway and returned in the morning to find it had been rummaged through, although nothing appeared to be taken. The matter is under investigation.

The reporting party stated they parked their car on the street and later noticed that it was making a loud sound. They discovered that the catalytic converter had been removed from the vehicle. MOPED THEFT - Officers responded to Dean Rd for a report of a stolen motorized scooter. The reporting party stated they left the scooter unlocked in front of a building and returned a few hours later to discover it missing. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers were called to Strathmore Rd for a report of individuals attempting to remove catalytic converters from motor vehicles. They were apprehended and placed under arrest.

ANIMAL BITE - Officers responded to Sumner Rd for a report of a dog bite. They observed a loose dog biting a dog on a leash while the victim attempted to separate them. The loose dog was secured, and its owner was issued a citation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Green St for a possible fraud report. The reporting party stated they received an email stating that their Norton account was being renewed and that they owed a balance. They used the email provided to clear up the issue and grew suspicious. They have been advised to monitor their accounts for suspicious activity.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Freeman St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they were contacted by an individual offering a job. The individual sent a check then requested the reporting party to repay a certain amount. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers were called to Parkman St for a report of larceny. The reporting party stated items had gone missing from their residence. The matter is under investigation.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - Officers responded to Boylston St for a report of an attempted breaking and entering. The reporting party stated two individuals had attempted to gain entry to a store by throwing rocks through the front window. When this failed, they eventually fled the scene. ATTEMPTED CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Aspinwall Av for a report of a suspicious individual. The reporting party stated they saw an individual pulling on several car doors, and when reporting party confronted them, they immediately left the area. The matter is under investigation.

SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Harvard St for a report of a past shoplifting. The reporting party stated an individual came into the store, grabbed merchandise, then left without paying. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to St Paul St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they were contacted by an individual online selling tickets to an event. They sent payment online but never received the tickets in return. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers took a report of larceny and past malicious damage to a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they parked their vehicle in a garage on Beacon St and returned to find damage done to the windshield wiper and license plate. They returned later to discover the license plate completely gone. The matter is under investigation.

The reporting parties stated they parked their vehicles in the designated spots in the parking lot and found their vehicles with varying degrees of damage and the license plates missing. The individual responsible has been found and will be summonsed to court for larceny.

The reporting party stated they found the license plate bent and the front bumper damaged. The individual responsible has been found and will be summonsed to court for malicious damage to a motor vehicle.

The reporting party stated they were contacted by an individual claiming to work for Walmart who offered a position as a 'secret survey shopper'. The individual mailed them one check then asked for a check in return, but the individual's check was flagged as fraudulent. The matter is under investigation.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of several recovered license plates. Officers contacted the owners and returned the plates. The individual responsible has been found and will be summonsed to court for malicious damage to a motor vehicle.

LARCENY - Officers were called to Beacon St for multiple reports of thefts of license plates. The reporting parties stated they parked their vehicles in the designated spots in the parking lot and found their vehicles with varying degrees of damage and the license plates missing. The individual responsible has been found and will be summonsed to court for larceny.

The altercation escalated when the first individual placed their hands on the other's person, and the second person struck back with a megaphone. Both individuals will be summonsed to court for assault and battery.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Dale St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they had received an email stating they were being refunded for a past purchase. They used the provided number to contact the company about the refund and was asked for their bank information. The matter is under investigation.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of a possible breaking and entering. The reporting party stated an individual smashed the front door of a building. The individual will be summonsed to court for malicious damage to a building.
