Blog for 2/16 to 2/22

2/16/17 – Warrant Arrest
Officers on patrol noticed two subjects arguing that appeared to be under the influence on Beacon St. The subjects were identified and a query alerted the officers that one of them was wanted for a warrant. The wanted subject was placed under arrest and the other was sent on their way.

2/16/17 – Burglary
An officer responded to Sewall Ave for a residential breaking and entering, and larceny of property.
There appeared to be damage to the door and the victim’s jewelry box appeared to be tampered with. There were a few personal items missing.
2/16/2017 - Larceny
Officers responded to Riverway for a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that at about 1500hrs on 2/16/17 he realized his black watch and black wallet were missing. They were taken between 1230hrs and 1500hrs while he was away from his room.

02/17/2017 - Larceny
An officer responded to Addington Road for a past larceny report. The reporting party stated he left his tools in the kitchen area of the house under construction on 02/15/2016 at 1500. When he returned the next morning at 0800, several tools were missing.

2/17/2017 - Larceny
An officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a past larceny of a package. The victim stated she was supposed to have a package delivered on 02/13/2017 at 1800hrs. She went to look for the package on 02/14/2017 at approximately 1600hrs and was unable to locate it.

02/17/17 – Larceny
A subject came to the front desk to report his credit card had been stolen and fraudulent charges had appeared on his account.  The victim stated that he forgot the card at a restaurant and was notified by that unusual charges were made on the card.

2/17/17 – Attempted Larceny
An officer responded to Beacon St. for a report of attempted package thefts.  The victim stated that she arrived home at 1700hrs and noticed several boxes were tampered with. Several other packaging inside the building that were cut open but all contents were left inside of the packaging.

2/19/17 – OUI
Officers on Hammond Pond Parkway performed a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. The operator was noticed to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for operating under the influence.

2/19/17 – Bike Larceny
An officer responded to Stedman St. for a report that a subject’s bicycle had been stolen overnight. 
The brown road bike was last seen at 16:00hrs on 2/18/17 and discovered it missing at 1030hrs on 2/19/17.

2/19/17 – Found property
An officer on Commonwealth Avenue was given a lost U.S. passport. Attempts were made to contact the owner but, were unsuccessful. The Passport is current in an evidence locker in the police department.
2/19/17 – Missing Person
An officer responded to a radio call for a missing person on Grove St. The subject’s caretaker reported that he suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. The subject drives a gray Volkswagen Jetta and has short gray hair, no facial hair, and is very thin.

2/19/17 - Larceny
An officer at the front desk was approached by a subject reporting a theft of some personal items. At approx. 1430hrs, the subject found the box open in the foyer and some of the items were gone. The contents taken include a W-2 form, a long silver style necklace, a Gift card, and health insurance paperwork.

2/19/17 – B&E and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
An officer at the front desk was approached by a subject to report her car had been broken into and her pocketbook had been stolen between 1300hrs and 1500hrs while on Boylston St.

2/20/17 - B&E and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
An officer responded to Garrison Rd for a past B&E of a motor vehicle. The victimt reported that both of her vehicles were broken into and rummaged through. A gray IPOD is missing from one vehicle and nothing is missing from the other. The incident occurred between 2300hrs on 02/19/2017 and 700hrs on 02/20/17.

2/20/17 – B&E of a Motor Vehicle
An officer responded to Kent St for a B&E of a motor vehicle. The victim stated she parked her vehicle around 1730hrs on 2/19/17 and returned the morning of 2/20/17 to find a window had been smashed in and the vehicle rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing. Several other vehicles were broken into in the general area over the same time frame.  

2/20/17 - B&E and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
An officer responded to Kent St for a B&E of a motor vehicle. The victim parked the vehicle around 1630hrs on 2/19/17 and returned the morning of 2/20/17 to find a window had been smashed in. A black GPS and brown sunglass were reported missing. This is the second reported B&E of a Motor Vehicle reported in this area.

2/20/17 – B&E of a Motor Vehicle
An officer responded to Kent St for a B&E of a motor vehicle. The victim parked the vehicle around 2245hrs on 2/19/17 and returned the morning of 2/20/17 to find a window had been smashed in and the vehicle rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing. This is the third reported B&E of a Motor Vehicle reported in this area.

2/20/17 - Larceny
Officer responded to a store on Harvard St for a reported Shoplifting in progress. The store manager stated that a white male and a white female walked out of the store with a carriage of groceries without paying for them. When confronted by staff they left the carriage and exited in a vehicle. The male is described as 5'9", 220lbs, in his late twenties early thirties, wearing a gray and white stripe hoodie and gray sweat pants. The female is described as 5'4", 120lbs, in her late twenties early thirties, reddish blond hair, wearing a dark top, and black pants.

2/20/17 – Larceny
An officer at the front desk was approached by a subject reporting a package theft on Kent St. A neighbor had found a package that had been ripped open and the contents were gone in the lobby at approximately 1200 on 2/17/17. The box contained two pillow cases.

2/20/17 - Burglary
An officer at the front desk was approached for a report of a past commercial breaking and entering that occurred on 02/19/2017 on Washington St. The owner stated he noticed minor damage to the door where it appeared the lock had been pried open with body pressure and a pry tool and two safes were missing. Video footage revealed three individuals, wearing gloves and masks, entered the basement door on 02/19/2017 at approximately 1906 hours.

2/22/17 – Operating after Suspension
An officer was at the intersection of Grove St. and Newton St. when they observed a gray Acura make an illegal left turn from Grove Street Northbound onto Newton Street Westbound.  After initiating a traffic stop, the officer identified the operator and a query confirmed their license was suspended. The operator was placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

2/22/17 - Warrant
Officers reported to E 9th St in attempt to serve warrants. The subject was located and taken into custody without incident.

2/22/17 – Lost Property
An officer responded to Beacon St. for a report of a missing cell phone. The subject stated that at approximately 1115 Hours, she realized her phone was missing. The phone is a black Samsung with a cracked screen and gray case that has a slide for credit cards.

2/22/17 - Larceny
An officer responded to Waverly St. for a report of a past larceny. The subject left her purse at the Brookline Village T-Stop at approximately 1600 Hours. After realizing she had forgotten her purse and returning to the area she seen that items had been taken including an Apple MacBook, a tablet, and a green women’s wallet.
