PURSE THEFT - Officers responded to Harvard St for a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated they left their purse in a shopping cart and returned to it missing. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of ID fraud. The reporting party stated they received notice that loans had been taken out under their name without their consent or knowledge. The matter is under investigation.


Tuesday, November 23

PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to Kent St for a report of package thefts. The reporting party stated they witnessed an individual rummaging through packages in their apartment's vestibule. When the individual left, they noticed packages had been opened and their recent delivery was also missing. The matter is under investigation.


Wednesday, November 24

BAT EXPOSURE - Officers were contacted by an individual who discovered a bat inside their residence. The police took custody of it to submit for rabies testing.

FOUND PROPERTY - Officers responded to the Longwood MBTA station for a report of an unattended package. Upon arrival, they discovered it was a lunch bag and took it to the police station for safe keeping.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraudulent use of a credit card. The reporting party stated they received notification their bank card was used online, without their knowledge or consent. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Gardner Rd for a report of identity theft. The reporting party said they received a letter stating their unemployment benefits were approved, despite the fact they never applied. The matter is under investigation.


Friday, November 26

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to Linden Pl for a report of malicious damage. An individual was witnessed throwing a metal object through a window of a building. The individual was identified and was arrested due to outstanding warrants. 

FRAUD - Officers took a report of identity theft. The reporting party said they received a letter stating their unemployment benefits were approved, despite the fact they never applied. The matter is under investigation.

PACKAGE THEFT - Officers were called to Alton Pl for a report of a past package theft. The matter is under investigation.


Sunday, November 28

SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated they witnessed an individual conceal items on their persons then left without paying. Officers apprehended the individual, placed them under arrest due to outstanding warrants, and recovered the items.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Stedman St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they had lost their wallet and were receiving notifications of fraudulent charges on their credit card. The matter is under investigation.

ASSAULT - Officers were called to the area of Wallis Rd and Wolcott Rd for a report of a dispute that turned physical. An individual witnessed a violation of a town by-law and attempted to take photographic evidence, and the second individual confronted them and began a physical altercation. After speaking with the parties involved, officers concluded that the responsible party will be summonsed to court for simple assault.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Babcock St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they found unauthorized fraudulent charges on their bank account. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers were called to Clafin Rd for a report of a theft. The matter is under investigation.

SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Washington St for a report of past shoplifting. The reporting party stated they witnessed an individual hide items in a duffel bag and then leave without paying. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Amory St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received notification that bank accounts had been opened under their name, without their knowledge or consent. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they parked their car on the street and returned to find the contents of the glove box strewn about and property missing. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Warwick Rd for a past report of fraud. The reporting party stated they posted boots for sale online and the buyer sent a large check as payment, asking them to Venmo the remaining balance. When they tried to deposit the check, they were notified that it was fraudulent. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Kilsyth Rd for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received notification about the activation of their unemployment benefits, which was filed under their name without their knowledge or consent. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Village Way for a report of a past car break. The reporting party stated property was removed from their vehicle overnight. The matter is under investigation.

SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of past shoplifting. The reporting party stated that, on multiple occasions, an individual entered the store and concealed property in their jacket before leaving without paying. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Marion St for a report of check fraud. The reporting party stated they received notifications from the bank about suspicious activity, and after checking their statements, they found check had been altered and deposited without their knowledge or consent. The matter is under investigation.


Saturday, November 20

FOUND PROPERTY - An individual turned in US currency that was found on the sidewalk at the corner of Chestnut and Prince St. It has been taken to the station for safe keeping.

ANIMAL VIOLATION - Officers found a dog running loose down Heath St. A citation has been issued.

ABANDONNED PROPERTY - Officers responded to Beacon St, Washington St, Harvard St, and Pleasant St for reports of abandoned bikes. They have been taken to the station due to their tag warnings expiring. 

BIKE THEFT - Officers were called to Lancaster Tr for a report of bike theft. The reporting party stated they secured their bike to their vehicle's bike rack, but they later returned to find the lock broken and bike gone. The matter is under investigation.

ARSON - Officers were contacted about a fire inside the Winthrop Square Park. It was set inside a child's plastic toy wagon and was extinguished before it could spread or do any damage. The matter has been referred to the Community Service Department.

SCAM - Officers responded to Williston Rd for a report of a scam. The reporting party stated that they were contacted by an individual on a dating app and that the individual wanted to send checks in exchange for banking credit. The matter is under investigation.

GRAFFITI - Officers were called to Mary's St for a report of graffiti. The reporting party stated they returned in the morning to find it had been tagged. The matter has been referred to the Community Service Department.

FRAUD - Officers were contacted about an internet scam. The reporting party stated they were in contact with an individual online, who encouraged them to invest in a cryptocurrency through a provided link. The matter is under investigation.

FOUND PROPERTY - Officers were contacted about an abandoned bicycle on Lancaster Tr. The bike has been taken to the station for safekeeping.

BIKE THEFT - Officers were called to Freeman St for a report of a bike theft. The reporting party stated they had left their bike secured to a bike rack but noticed it missing. The matter is under investigation.

ATTEMPTED FRAUD - Officers were called to Beacon St for the attempted use of a forged check. The reporting party stated an individual attempted to use a check to make purchases, and when the check was declined and the employee challenged the transaction, the individual left.
