Police Reports December 26 through December 28, 2014

On December 26, an individual came into the station to report a stolen package. The package was delivered on December 23 to an address on Vernon St, but the individual could not locate it.

On December 26, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of a shoplifter. The subject took numerous items of clothing from the business and left the store. An employee then called the police, resulting in an ongoing investigation of the subject. The matter is currently under investigation.

On December 27, an officer responded to Euston St for a report of a stolen package. The individual stated several packages were stolen.

On December 27, an officer observed a vehicle that did not have a registration plate in the front of the vehicle along Harvard St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a suspended license and was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On December 28, an officer was responded to a report of an unsafe operation of a vehicle along Lee St. The officer responded to the location, observed the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was pulled over. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for operating under the influence, possession of drugs, and unsafe operation.


On December 28, an officer monitoring traffic at the intersection of Channing Rd and Chestnut Ave observed a vehicle with an expired rejection sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was not duly licensed and placed under arrest.

Police Reports December 24, 2014 and December 25, 2014

On December 24, an officer responded to Tappan St for a breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. The individual stated that someone entered their cars and took cash. Please remember to lock your car doors.

 On December 25, an officer responded to Linden St for a report of a package theft. The individual stated that the package was delivered the day prior but they could not locate it.


On December 25, an office responded to Hall Rd for a report of a package theft. The individual stated that the package was delivered the day prior but she could not locate it. Please consider having packages picked up or signed for.

Police Reports December 22, 2014

On December 22, officers conducted a random query on a passing vehicle along Harvard St. The owner of the vehicle had a suspended license. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was placed under arrest for operating after a suspension.

On December 22, officers responded to Beacon St for a report of stolen packages. The individual stated that the packages were delivered earlier that month but she has not located them.

On December 22, an individual came into the station to report that several packages were taken from her address on School St. One package was stolen in the beginning of December and the second one was taken on December 21.

On December 22, an officer responded to a breaking and entering of a vehicle along Naples Rd. The individual stated that the vehicle was parked overnight and someone had entered the vehicle. The door was left slightly ajar. No items were missing. Please remember to lock your car doors.


On December 22, an officer observed a vehicle along Harvard St with an expired registration. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in the driver’s arrest.

Police Reports December 19 through December 21, 2014

On December 19, an officer responded to Ivy St for a report of a stolen package. The individual stated that the package was listed as delivered on December 19. Upon her arrival, the package was ripped open and the items were missing. Other packages in the vestibule were opened. The matter is under investigation.

On December 20, an individual came into the station to report a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was last seen parked along Beacon St. The matter is under investigation.

On December 20, an individual came into the station to report a stolen package. The individual stated that they found the box but the items were missing.


On December 21, an individual came into the station to report a stolen cellphone. The individual’s phone was taken from her purse when it was left unattended. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports December 18, 2014

On December 18, officers responded to a business along Beacon St for a report of a shoplifting. As the subject was leaving the store with unpaid items, an employee asked the subject to leave the items behind. Officers located the subject along Harvard St. The subject was placed under arrest.


On December 18, an officer observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker driving along Harvard St. The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked the driver for his license and registration. The driver had a warrant and was placed under arrest.

Police Reports December 17, 2014

On December 17, an officer observed a vehicle straddling lanes along Washington St. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On December 17, an officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny along Euston St. The individual stated that construction tools were missing from the residence. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports December 16, 2014

On December 16, an officer observed a vehicle speeding along Washington St. The vehicle also veered over the center lines. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in the driver’s arrest.

On December 16, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Chestnut Hill Ave observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On December 16, an officer responded to Washington St for a report of a package theft that occurred on December 15. The individual was expecting a package on the 15th but could not locate it. The matter is under investigation.

On December 16, an officer responded to a business along Beacon St for two subjects suspected of shoplifting. Upon the officers’ arrival, the two subjects were currently in the business. An employee stated that one subject took an item off the display and put it into her pocked without paying for them. One subject was placed under arrest.

On December 16, officers responded to a business along Beacon St for a report of two disruptive parties. The subjects were also suspected of shoplifting at another business. The two subjects left the store but were later located. Officers approached the subjects and asked them to identify themselves. Both subjects were placed under arrest.  


On December 16, an officer was approached by an employee of a business located on Beacon St. The employee stated that someone shoplifted. The subject took several items without paying for them and was placed under arrest.

On December 15, an officer observed a passing vehicle with an expired inspection sticker on Washington St. The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked for their driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in her arrest.

Police Reports December 12, 2014 through December 14, 2014

On December 12, an officer conducting traffic enforcement at Harvard St and Sewall Ave stopped a vehicle that was driving at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop and asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

On December 12, an officer conducting a random query at Harvard St and Beacon St determined that the owner of a passing vehicle had a warrant for their arrest. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was the registered owner of the vehicle and was placed under arrest.

On December 12, two individuals reported that two packages were missing from their building. The packages were believed to be taken during the day. Please consider having your packages signed for or picked up.

On December 13, an individual came into the police department to report a missing package along Gorham Ave. The individual was expecting two packages to be delivered on December 9 but she could not locate them. Please consider having your packages signed for or picked up.

On December 13, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. The suspect was observed putting items into his jacket. The suspect fled the store after being approached. A foot pursuit ensued resulting in the suspect’s arrest.

On December 13, officers responded to Cottage St for a report of suspicious activity. On arrival, they spoke with the subject who was pulling out of a driveway. Based on information obtained at the scene, it was determined that the subject was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The subject was placed under arrest.

On December 13, officers responded to Park St for a report of a larceny. The subject had personal items stolen from her while at a business on Harvard St. The matter is under investigation.

On December 13, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Boylston St observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was not duly licensed and was placed under arrest.


On December 13, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Beacon St observed a vehicle with a non functioning brake light. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a warrant and was placed under arrest.

Police Reports December 10, 2014

On December 10, an officer responded to a report for a breaking and entering of a residence along Englewood. The residence was broken into sometime during the day. Several items were taken from the apartment. It is believed another apartment was attempted to be broken into at the same location. The matter is under investigation.


On December 10, an officer conducted a traffic stop along Harvard St. The officer asked the driver for his licenses which he did not have. The driver’s license was revoked and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the revocation.

Police Reports December 9, 2014

On December 9, an officer responded to Winchester St for a report of fraud. The individual received several pieces of mail requesting her to send money to enter into a drawing. Please be aware that this is a scam.

On December 9, an officer responded to Francis St for a report of package theft. The delivery date was December 8, but the individual could not locate the package. Please have your packages picked up or signed for.

Arrest made for B&E

An arrest was made last night in the Longwood Ave area for an attempted breaking and entering of a residence. The subject attempted to open an apartment door, but the door was locked. The resident was home, heard the noise and called the police. The subject left the residence and walked to the courtyard where vehicles were parked. The subject entered an unlocked vehicle, looked through it and took an item. The subject then left the vehicle and continued walking down Longwood Ave. As officers approached the subject, he threw an item from his bag that appeared to be a package. On arrival, officers approached the subject who had a package that was believed to be stolen.  An on scene investigation lead to the subject being charged with the following: attempted breaking and entering at night time, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, larceny, and receiving stolen property.

Over the past weekend, there were four car break-ins reported. All of these were in the same neighborhood as above.  As a result of last night’s investigation, it is believed that this subject is responsible for these car breaks. The break-ins occurred during the night Friday or Saturday into Sunday morning along Francis St, Linden St and Perry St. All vehicles were unlocked. With the increase of break-ins, we would like to remind residence to lock your car doors and make sure no valuables are visible.

Police Reports December 8, 2014

On December 8, officers responded to Francis St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Cash was taken from the motor vehicle. The individual believes they left the door unlocked. Please remember to lock your car doors.


On December 8, officers responded to an attempted breaking and entering of a residence. The subject attempted to gain entrance to the individual’s apartment. The door was locked and the subject could not open it. The subject then went outside and entered a vehicle and began looking through it. Upon arrival, officers located the subject and placed him under arrest. Stolen property was discovered on the subject.

Police Reports December 5, 2014 through December 7, 2014

On December 5, an officer responded to Babcock St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a residence. Two tenants reported that their residence was broken into sometime from November 26 to November 30.The door appeared to be kicked down. No items were missing from the apartment.

On December 5, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a residence. The individual believes that someone entered her apartment. No items were missing from the residence.

On December 6, an officer responded to Salisbury Rd for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual discovered his door to his vehicle was open and appeared rummaged through. Some cash was taken. Please remember to lock your car doors.

On December 6, an officer responded to Rawson Rd for a report of a package theft. The individual had two package delivered to her residence. The packages were missing. Please consider having your packages picked up at the post office or signed for.

On December 6, an officer responded to a business along Harvard St for a larceny. The individual left her cell phone on a bench and continued to shop. The cell phone was missing. The matter is under investigation. 

On December 7, officers responded to Perry St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual believes her vehicle was broken into sometime overnight. The individual observed the door ajar but nothing was missing from the vehicle. Please remember to lock your car doors.

On December 7, an officer responded to a business along Boylston St for a report of shoplifting. The subject put several items in his shirt and pockets. An employee confronted the man and asked him to empty his pockets. The subject did and fled the store.

On December 7, officers responded to Warwick Rd for a past larceny. A package was missing that was delivered on December 5. Please consider having packages picked up or signed for.


 On December 7, an officer monitoring traffic at Lee St and Warren St observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was not duly licensed to operate a motor vehicle and was placed under arrest.

Two subjects were involved. The first subject is described as a black male, in his 40’s, balding wearing a black jacket. The second subject is described as a black male in his 50’s wearing a white wool cap, black jacket and blue jeans. The matter is under investigation.

On December 1, an officer responded to Heath St for a report of a package theft. The individual came home and observed her package in the hallway. The individual went upstairs and came back down to get the package. The package was no longer there.

On December 1, a subject was placed under arrest on Boylston St. Based on information obtained at the scene it was determined that the subject was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

On November 28, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Harvard St observed a vehicle without headlights on. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a suspended license and was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On November 30, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of larceny. The individual left her purse in the business and upon return it was missing. The bag was found but a cellphone was missing.


On November 30, an officer responded to Brookline Ave and Aspinwall Ave for a report of malicious damage. The individuals vehicle had a broken window and appeared rummaged through. The radio was missing from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

On November 21, an officer observed a vehicle drive through a stop sign at Allerton Rd and High St. The vehicle was pulled over. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was not licensed to operate a motor vehicle and was placed under arrested.

On November 22, an officer responded to Kent St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual’s car door was ajar when she returned to it that evening. Several items were taken from the vehicle.

On November 22, an officer observed a vehicle pass along Harvard St with a failed inspection. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On November 23, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of shoplifting in progress. The subject had several items on his person that was taken from the store. Upon arrival, the subject was placed under arrest.

Fraud Calls


On 11/7 at 0500  hrs Victim received a call from 209-840-6668 stating they were from a company called “Urgent Tech Help (UTH)”. The voice on the line sounded to be of Indian accent and the individual identified as “Max”. Max told Vic his computer was sending spam and the company could clean up victims hard drive. Victim agreed and the company remotely operated victims computer for over 3 hours and charged money for the services. Victim gave Max his credit card number which was declined for fraudulent activity. Suspect subsequently demanded Green Dot Money Card payment. After initial payment, suspect demanded another payment which victim initially refused, but changed his mind when Max locked victim out of his computer.

Police Reports November 19, 2014

On November 19, an officer observed a vehicle with a broken headlight driving along Harvard St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had an active warrant and was placed under arrest.

On November 19, an officer observed a vehicle along Lagrange St with an expired inspection sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was not duly licensed and placed under arrest.

On November 19, officers responded to Thornton Rd for a report of a past breaking and entering of a residence. Several items were stolen from the residence. It appears as though the suspect made entry through an unlocked sliding window. Please insure that all of your windows and doors are locked.

On November 19, an officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual noticed the driver’s door ajar upon her arrival to her vehicle. Things appeared to be rummaged through and some items were missing. Please remember to lock your vehicle doors.


On November 19, an officer responded to a report of a stolen package on Beacon St. The individual stated that they were expecting a package and they were informed that it was delivered. The package could not be located in the front lobby. Please consider having your packages signed for or picked up from the post office.

Police Reports November 18, 2014

On November 18, an officer responded to a location on Heath St for a larceny report. An individual’s items were taken from beside her car. The matter is under investigation.

On November 18, an officer responded to Dean Rd for a report of a stolen package. The package was delivered last Wednesday but the individual could not locate it. This is a common theft, please consider having your package picked up or signed for.


On November 18, officers responded to a report of shoplifting from a business along Beacon St. The subject took several items from the store and upon exiting he dropped the items and fled the store. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports November 14 through November 16, 2014

On November 15, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Boylston St and observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver did not have a license and was driving after it was revoked. The driver was placed under arrest.

On November 15, officers responded to a report of two subjects who were attempting to break into motor vehicles along Beacon St and Washington St. The subjects were arrested.

On November 15, a police officer responded to a Beacon St for a report of a stolen package. Please consider having packages picked up at the post office or having them signed for.


On November 17, officers responded to Carlton St and Beacon St for the check of the wellbeing of a driver. The vehicle was in drive and the driver appeared to be asleep. Based on information obtained at the scene, it was determined that the driver was operating under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested.

On November 13, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a stolen package. The individual stated that a package was stolen from the lobby of the apartment sometime the evening before. The matter is under investigation.


On November 13, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of two subjects that attempted to shoplift. The subjects put several items from the store into their bags. The two subjects were arrested for the incident.

On November 12, an officer responded to a report of a suspicious person on Gibbs St. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for larceny of a package.

Police Reports November 10, 2014

On November 10, an officer responded to Dummer St for a report of a past breaking and entering. The individual reported that several items were missing from the building during the night. The matter is under investigation.


On November 10, an officer observed a vehicle on Boylston St making a turn when there was a red light. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was revoked and the driver was placed under arrest.

Police Reports November 7, 2014 through November 9, 2014

On November 7, an individual came into the police department to report a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was on a rack located near Brookline High School. The bicycle was stolen sometime over night. The bicycle was not locked to the rack.

On November 7, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a package theft. The individual found an empty package that was addressed to him but the package was empty.

On November 8, an officer responded to Amory Park for a report of several package thefts. The individual found several empty packages addressed to residents. The matter is under investigation.

On November 8, an officer observed a vehicle traveling down Harvard St with a rejected inspection sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On November 9, an officer observed a vehicle along Cypress St with no inspection. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.


On November 9, an officer observed a vehicle along Beacon St traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle also turned without using a turn signal. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration.  Based on information obtained at the vehicle stop, it was determined that the driver was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested.

Police Reports November 6, 2014

On November 6, officers responded to a business along Washington St for a shoplifting incident in progress. The shoplifter fled the store, running down Washington St. Officers located a subject matching the description and stopped him. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for shoplifting from the business.


On November 6, an officer responded to Westbourne Ter for a report of a breaking and entering. Upon the individual’s arrival home, her residence appeared to be broken into. Several items were taken from the home. The matter is under investigation.

Police Reports November 5, 2014

On November 5, an individual came into the police department to report a stolen stroller from Stanton Rd. The stroller was in the yard 11/3 and when the individual returned 11/4, the stroller was missing.

On November 5, an officer observed a vehicle driver the wrong way down a one way street. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On November 5, an officer responded to Winthrop Rd for a report of as stolen package. The individual was expecting the package on 10/31 and the post office confirmed that delivery. The individual never received the package. This is a common theft. Please consider having the package signed for or picked up at the post office.

On November 5, officers responded to a business along Beacon St for a report of shoplifting. The subject had several items that were taken from the business. The subject was placed under arrest for the shoplifting incident.

On November 5, an individual came into the police department to report a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was locked on 11/3 to a bike rack near Greenough and Tappan St.

On November 5, an officer responded to a business along Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. The subject came into the business and took a car seat then left. The subject is described as a black female, 5’5”-5’8” around 120-130lbs, with long black straight hair, wearing all black clothing under a tan overcoat. On November 5, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a past B&E and larceny. The individual’s apartment was broken into and items were taken from the apartment. The incident happened sometime during the day.

On November 4, an individual reported having her bicycle stolen from a bike rack on Beacon St. The bike was locked there the evening of 10/31. When the individual came back on 11/2 to retrieve the bike, she noticed it was missing.

Police Reports November 3, 2014

On November 3, an officer monitoring traffic and observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker along Brookline Ave. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was arrested as a result of the suspension.

On November 3, an officer responded to Thornton Rd for a report of larceny. The individual stated that all four of his tires were stolen from his vehicle while parked on the street. This incident occurred sometime overnight.

On November 3, an officer conducting speed enforcement along Beacon St observed a vehicle appear to be traveling over the speed limit. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was not duly licensed to driver a motor vehicle and was placed under arrest.


On November 3, two subjects were arrest along Commonwealth Ave for shoplifting at a nearby business. Items were found on the subjects that are believed to be stolen and tools known to be used for shoplifting.

Police Reports October 31, 2014 through November 2, 2014

On October 31, officer's responded to Copley St for a report of a breaking and entering of a residence and a motor vehicle. The resident went to unlock her vehicle and saw the subject sitting in the car. The resident then called 911 and the subject exited the vehicle. Officers arrived and saw the subject hiding in nearby bushes. The subject then fled resulting in a foot chase. The subject was captured and placed under arrest. Several items were located on the subject that is believed to be stolen from other residence or motor vehicles. The subject is believed to be involved in other breaking and enterings of residence/vehicles in the Copley St and Commonwealth Ave area.

On November 1, officers responded to a business along Beacon St for a report of two shoplifters in the process of taking merchandise. Upon officer’s arrival, the two subjects were stopped by police. One of the subjects fled the scene which resulted in a foot pursuit. After the chase, the subject was captured and several items that were believed to be stolen were found on him. The two subjects were placed under arrest for the incident.


On November 2, an officer responded to a business along Commonwealth Ave for a report of a stolen wallet. The individual left his wallet unattended while at the business. While the individual was getting ready to leave, he noticed his wallet was missing. The matter is under investigation.

At 5:30am this morning, officer's responded to Copley St for a report of a breaking and entering of a residence and a motor vehicle. On October 29, an officer was conducting traffic enforcement along Boylston St and Hammond St where they observed a vehicle drive through a red light. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a suspended license and was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On October 29, an individual made a report of receiving a call from someone claiming to be the IRS. This was a fraudulent call. Please remember to never give out personal information over the phone.


On October 29, an individual came to the Brookline Police Department to make a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The vehicle was broken into sometime over night along Orchard Rd. Please remember to lock your car doors.

Police Reports October 28, 2014

On October 28, an officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light along Dean Rd. The driver was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was not licensed to drive a vehicle and was placed under arrest for operating without a license.

On October 28, a subject was arrest for larceny of a bicycle along St. Paul St. The subject had been missing from Lawrence School and later found in the subject’s possession.


 On October 28, an officer responded to a business along Commonwealth Ave for a report of shoplifting. The subject came into the business, took two jackets, and then fled the store. The subject is described as a white male, around 5’ 9”-6’0” tall wearing a dark hooded jacket, short spiked hair, unshaven beard, with a messenger bag. Shortly after, another shoplifting incident occurred at the same business. A subject came into the store, stole two jackets then fled. On October 27, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Harvard St stopped a vehicle that did not have an inspection sticker. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a previous warrant for his arrest. The driver was placed under arrest for the warrant.


On October 27, an office responded to a report of a breaking and entering of two motor vehicles. The first individual reported her vehicle was entered during the weekend while parked on Beacon St. Several items were missing from the vehicle. The second individual reported that several items were also taken from her vehicle. Both vehicles are believed to have been left unlocked. The matter is currently under investigation. On October 24, an individual came into Brookline Police Department to make a report of a stolen bicycle. Her son’s bicycle was taken some time between October 17 and October 20.

On October 24, an officer responded to Chestnut St for a report of a larceny. The individual believes that money was taken from her residence sometime Tuesday when no one was home. Please remember to lock your doors when leaving your residence.

On October 25, an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn on Beverly Road. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked for his license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On October 25, an officer responded to Fuller St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The vehicle appeared to be rummaged through. The vehicle was left unlocked. Please remember to lock your car doors.

On October 26, an officer conducting traffic enforcement conducted a random query of a passing vehicle showing that the owner’s right to operate had been revoked. The vehicle was pulled over along Beacon St and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was revoked and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the revocation.

On October 26, officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed along Harvard St. The officers initiated a traffic stop and asked the driver for their license and registration. Based on information obtained at the stop, the subject was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.


On October 26, officer responded to a business for a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store manager who stated that there were two subjects walking around the store. One of the subjects took two items that were on display and put them into his bag. The two men then fled the store once they were confronted. The first subject is described as a white male, mid 20’s, 6 feet tall, wearing a baseball cap, black puffy jacket, blue jeans and a stud near his right eye. The second subject is described as a white male, mid 20’s, 5’7”, wearing a blue baseball cap backwards, a gray hooded sweatshirt with a school logo on the front, blue jeans and light facial growth. The subject dropped some of the cash then fled the store. The subject is described as black male, medium complexion, 40 years old, around 5’9”-5’10”, wearing a black coat with a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath, light colored jeans, black sneakers and a navy blue baseball cap with a grey design. The subject was also with another person described as a black female, medium complexion, 40 years old, around 5’4” with short black hair possibly dyed pink in the front, wearing a black jacket and grey sweatpants. On October 20, an officer responded to Park St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was taken sometime between October 19 and October 20. The lock on the bicycle appeared to be cut. The matter is under investigation.

On October 20, an officer responded to a residence where the individual believed she was a victim of fraudulent charges. Her card was charged several times at different businesses. This is a common crime, please be aware and monitor your charges.


On October 20, an officer responded to a business in Coolidge Corner for a larceny report. The victim left their backpack unattended and when they returned it was missing. Please remember to take your belongings with you and do not leave them unattended.

On October 17, an officer responded to Park St for a report of a package theft. The individual stated that the package was listed as delivered on October 16 but has not received it. The matter is under investigation.

On October 17, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a breaking and entering. The individual stated that upon arrival back to the residence, it appeared that items were moved and looked through. Several items were missing from the residence. The matter is under investigation.


On October 18, an officer was stopped by an individual for a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. A phone that was left in the vehicle was stolen. The doors of the vehicle were left unlocked. Please remember to lock your car doors and take valuables with you.

On October 16, an officer was conducting traffic enforcement along Harvard St with an expired inspection sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for the suspension.


On October 16, a police cruiser was struck from behind while stopped at a red light along Harvard St. The officers then approached the occupants of the vehicle. Based on information obtained during the interaction, it was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and his license was suspended.

October 14, officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave for a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, an employee said that two cell phones were stolen from the business by two subjects. The subjects then fled the store. One subject was stopped and placed under arrest for the shoplifting incident.


On October 14, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Harvard St conducted a random query on a passing vehicle. The vehicle had an invalid inspection sticker and was pulled over. The passenger in the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt and the officer asked for their license. The passenger had a warrant and was placed under arrest.

On October 11, an officer responded to a business along Harvard St for a report of a larceny. A laptop was stolen from a table in the business. The matter is under investigation.

On October 11, an officer responded to Centre St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The individual locked her bicycle sometime the night before and upon arrival to the location the next morning, she noticed it was missing.

On October 12, through random query it was determined that the owner of a passing vehicle had a suspended license. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a suspended license and wad placed under arrest.


On October 13, an individual called into the police station to make a report of a larceny. An officer reported to Thronton Rd, where the resident resides. The resident stated that a package was stolen from her residence sometime after September 26. The matter is under investigation.

On October 9, an officer responded to Commonwealth Ave for a report of a larceny. The individual left some items in a locker, secured with a lock. Upon his arrival back to his locker, he noticed that the lock was missing and some of his belongings were gone. The matter is under investigation.

On October 9, an individual came into the police department to report a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual’s vehicle was parked on Stanton Rd the night before. The driver was unlicensed and the registered owner had an active warrant. Class E drugs were found in the vehicle and confiscated. The driver was placed under arrest for possession and unlicensed operating of a motor vehicle.

On October 7, an officer responded to Park St for a report of a package theft. The individual was notified that the package was delivered in the afternoon but could not locate it. The matter is under investigation.

On October 7, officers responded to a report of shoplifting along Boylston St. Once confronted, the suspect fled the store toward Chestnut Hill T Stop. The suspect was stopped on the train and placed under arrest for shoplifting.

On October 7, officers responded to a bank along Commonwealth Ave for report of a robbery. A male subject entered the bank and demanded cash from the bank teller. The subject left the bank after taking the cash. The man is described as a white male, in his early 20’s, 5’5”, no facial hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black hat. The matter is under investigation.

On October 7, officers responded to a bank along Harvard St for a report of an attempted robbery. A male subject entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller. The subject then fled. The matter is under investigation.

On October 7, officers responded to a business along Boylston St for a larceny report. An employee’s purse was taken from the business sometime during the day. The individual’s personal credit cards had fraudulent charges made. The matter is under investigation.

The vehicle’s inspection sticker was expired and the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license.

On October 3, an officer responded to Babcock St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was previously locked onto a rack in a parking lot. The bicycle is believed to be taken sometime the night before.

On October 3, an officer responded to Davis Ave for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was left in a garage and the bicycle was not locked.


On October 5, an individual came into the station to report fraudulent charges on his credit card. The matter is under investigation. Over this past weekend, there have been numerous reports of fraud on credit cards and debit card. Please be aware and monitor charges.

On September 20, an officer responded to Irving St for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was missing from the individual’s driveway after it was parked overnight. The vehicle was located a few hours later in Roxbury.

On September 21, an individual came into the police station to report that her son’s bicycle was stolen at the intersection of University Rd and Gardner Rd on September 15. The bicycle was locked to a tree.

On September 21, an officer responded to Cypress St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was not locked. The individual reports leaving the bicycle on along a fence for a brief time. The matter is under investigation.

On September 21, an officer responded to Egmont St for a report of breaking and entering. Individuals in the apartment had numerous items stolen from them sometime the day prior. The matter is under investigation.


On September 21, an officer responded to Beacon St for a bicycle stop. After an investigation, it was determined that the bicycle the subject was riding was stolen. The subject also had many items on him that were determined stolen. The subject was placed under arrest.

The subject was described as a Hispanic female wearing a red long sleeved t-shirt, black vest and black pants. She was accompanied by another individual described as a Hispanic female wearing a white shirt, black jacket and blue jeans carrying a black back pack.

On September 12, an individual reported his wallet was stolen at a business on Beacon St. The individual left his wallet on the counter and left the store. The individual went back into the store and the wallet was not there. The subject that took the wallet from the counter is described as a white male with black hair in his mid 20’s wearing a grey shirt and blue sweats with white stripes and black glasses. The matter is under investigation.

On September 13, officers responded to Summit Ave for a report of a stolen motorized scooter. The individual stated that the scooter was stolen out of his driveway. The matter is under investigation.

On September 14, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Harvard St input a random query of a vehicle. The vehicle failed inspection previously and the officer pulled the vehicle over. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver did not have a license to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest.

On September 14, an officer responded to Auburn St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The individual’s bicycle was stolen from the building’s garage. The matter’s under investigation.


On September 14, an officer responded to Evan Rd for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual’s car appeared to be rummaged through Saturday morning. Some jewelry was missing from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

On September 11, an officer observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed along Boylston St. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for operating after the suspension.

On September 11, officers responded to a report of shoplifting at a business on Beacon St. The subject was observed placing items into his jacket. The subject was approached by an employee about the items and fled the store. The matter is under investigation.

On September 10, an officer conducting random query of a license plate pulled a vehicle with an expired registration. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. Based on information obtained at the scene, cocaine was discovered in the vehicle during its inventory. The driver was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

On September 10, an officer observed a vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Davis Ave and Washington St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. Based on information obtained at the scene, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On September 10, an officer conducting traffic enforcement pulled a vehicle over that did not stop at a stop sign. The driver did not have a license. The vehicle was turned over to the owner and the driver is issued a court summons for the violation.

On September 10, an officer responded to a report of stolen bicycle on Beacon St. The individual last saw her bicycle on September 7 locked to a pole. The matter is under investigation.


On September 10, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along West Roxbury Parkway observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver had a suspended license. The vehicle was turned over to an active operator and the driver is summonsed to court.

On September 9, an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn on Lagrange St on Rangeley Rd. The officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended, resulting in the driver’s arrest.

On September 5, an officer observed a vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Boylston St and High St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended. The driver was arrested for operating with a suspended license.

On September 5, an officer responded to Harvard St for a report of stolen packages. On September 4, the subject stole 3 packages from the residence. The subject is described as a male wearing a blue or gray jacket, jeans and white sneakers.

On September 5, an office responded to Harvard St for a larceny report. An individual reported that her bumper was missing from her vehicle. The bumper was last observed sometime around August 26.  

On September 5, an officer observed an individual riding motorized vehicle with an improper helmet. The individual was stopped and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver did was no duly license. The motorized vehicle was towed and the driver is summonsed to Brookline Court.

On September 5, a subject was arrested for soliciting. The subject was not properly registered to solicit in the town of Brookline and did not comply with the town by-laws. The vehicle used for the company had an expired registration and was towed. Please be advised, in order to register to solicit door to door, you need to get a permit through the Brookline Police Department. The permit is registered through the Chief’s Office. The permit is $10 per month.

On September 6, a vehicle was parked at the intersection of Emerson St and Davis Ave with the operator in the vehicle. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol.

On September 6, a subject was placed under arrest for shoplifting at a business along Harvard St.

On September 6, officers responded to a business along Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. The subject took items from the store and fled on foot. The subject is described as a thin, tall, black male wearing a light blue shirt, black baseball hat, and dark pants and sneakers.

On September 6, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a stolen bicycle. The individual locked her two bicycles on a street sign along Beacon St on August 28, On her arrival the next morning, she noticed that the two bicycles were missing. One bicycle was recovered; the other one is still missing.

On September 6, an officer responded to Parkway Rd for a report of a stolen scooter. The individual believes the scooter was stolen sometime on September 3. The matter is under investigation.

On September 4, an officer observed a vehicle drive through the red light at the Washington St and Cypress St intersection. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver was operating with a revoked license and was placed under arrest.

On September 4, an officer responded to Aspinwall Ave for a report of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The rear window appeared to be broken by a brick. An item was taken from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

On September 4, an officer responded to Shaw Rd for a past breaking and entering of two motor vehicles. Upon arrival to his vehicle the next morning, he noticed that his car was rummaged through. Several items were missing from the vehicle. Nothing was missing from the second vehicle but it did appear to be rummaged through. Both vehicles were parked in driveways and left unlocked. Please remember to lock your car doors.

On September 4, based on random query, an officer pulled a vehicle over that had a revoked registration. The officer asked the driver for her license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license.


On September 4, an officer observed three subjects on stolen bicycles, one who abandoned a bicycle and fled. Based on information obtained at the scene, the other two subjects were arrested for larceny of the bicycles.

On September 3, an officer conducting traffic enforcement along Boylston St observed a vehicle make an illegal turn. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver had an expired license. The driver was placed under arrest for not being duly licensed.

On September 3, an officer responded to Boylston St for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual parked his vehicle for two hours and upon his arrival back, he noticed several items were missing. The vehicle was left unlocked.

On September 3, an officer responded to a report for an attempted breaking and entering on Walnut St. The subject attempted to gain entrance through the residence door. Based on information obtained at the scene, the subject was arrested for attempted breaking and entering.


On September 3, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a bicycle theft. The individual locked his bicycle to a rack in the garage of his residence. Upon his arrival home, he noticed the bike was missing and the lock was on the ground near the bike rack. The matter is under investigation.

On September 2, two bicycles were reported stolen from a porch on Greenway Ct. The individual believes the incident happened the sometime on September 1. The bicycles were not locked.


On September 2, an officer responded to Harvard St for a report of a stolen scooter. The individual locked his scooter to a light pole with a chain lock on September 1. Upon his arrival on September 2, he noticed the scooter was missing. The matter is under investigation.

On August 29, an officer observed a vehicle go straight in a left turn only lane and drive over double yellow solid lines along the intersection of Harvard St and Stedman St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On August 29, an officer observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for his license and registration. The driver had a revoked license and was placed under arrest.

On August 29, an officer observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on West Roxbury Parkway. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked for the driver’s license and registration. The driver had a revoked license and a warrant for his arrest. The driver was placed under arrest.

On August 29, a subject was arrested after an ongoing investigation for the enticement of a child on Craigslist.  

On August 29, an individual came into the police station to report a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual’s vehicle was broken into sometime overnight. A bag was taken from the front seat. The car was unlocked. Please remember to lock your vehicles and remove any valuables.

On August 29, an officer responded to Browne St for a bicycle theft. The bicycle was locked on a wooden spoke on the individual’s porch. It appeared that the wooden spoke was moved from its place in order to take the locked bicycle.

On August 30, an officer responded to Brook St for a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The individual’s GPS was missing from his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. The vehicle was unlocked. Please remember to lock your vehicle doors.

On August 30, an officer responded to Beacon St for a report of a stolen package. One package appeared rummaged through, with contents missing. Another package was delivered but the tenant did not receive it. The matter is under investigation.

On August 31, an officer responded to Coolidge St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. No items were taken from the vehicle, but the vehicle appeared to be rummaged through. The vehicle was left unlocked.

On August 31, an officer responded to Babcock St for a report of a larceny. The individual reported that while moving out of his apartment, he left several boxes on the street and went back into his apartment. When he came back outside he noticed the boxes were missing.


On September 1, an officer observed two individuals kick starting a motorized vehicle along Beacon St. The operator was not duly licensed and was placed under arrest.
