12/9/2015-12/10/2015

On December 9th, an officer was dispatched to Glen Road for the report of breaking and entering with larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim reported that her belongings had been tampered with, and a GPS and sunglasses were reported stolen.

On December 9th, an officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound on High St. fail to stop for the posted red light at the intersection with Cypress.  The officer activated his emergency blue lights and safely initiated a traffic stop, and requested the driver’s license and registration. The officer queried the driver’s information, which revealed his license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest and transported back to the Brookline Police Station
.  

On December 10th,  an officer was dispatched to Mulford Street for a reported larceny. The victim said that her daughter’s violin and case were missing from a playground after being left. Officers are following up on the report and are investigating.

12/7/2015-12/8/2015

On December 7th, an officer was dispatched a residence on Walcott Rd. for a report of a past larceny.  On scene, victim stated her house has been undergoing renovations for approximately 3 months.  The victim reported noticing a few workers who were unfamiliar and decided to check her jewelry she keeps in her drawer. She discovered several pieces of jewelry and money missing from her drawer. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 8th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Chestnut St. for a report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from that his package had arrived. However, once the victim went to pick up the package was missing.


On December 8th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Sewall Ave. for a report of an attempted larceny of a package.  The victim reported arriving home and noticing her package in the lobby of the apartment open, but the contents were still in the box. This matter is still under investigation. 

Armed Robbery and Multiple Car Breaks

An adult and two juveniles were arrested for an armed robbery by knife last evening. On Tuesday, 12-08-2015 at 18:59 hrs, Brookline Police responded to Griggs Park for  a report of an Armed Robbery. The victim stated that 6 young males had beat him up and robbed him at knife point; stolen was money, a cellphone, and  a coat.  Officers located 3 individuals a short time later near the scene of the incident and during a show up identification, the victim positively identified 3 of the individuals .  All 3 were placed under arrest and charged with Armed Robbery and Assault & Battery.

On 12/9/2015 at approximately 0230 hours an Officer stopped a bicyclist for failing to stop for a red light at the intersection of Cypress St and Washington St.  The subject refused to remove his hands from his pocket after being stopped, and was found to be in possession of several cell phones and a large amount of loose change.  Further investigation revealed several motor vehicles had been broken into in the area .  The subject was placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle with Intent to Commit a Felony and Receiving Stolen Property over $250.00. Police are actively investigating to determine if there is any connection to  a series of car breaks over the last several weeks.

12/4/2015-12/6/2015

On December 4th, officers were dispatched to a residence on Beacon St. for a past larceny report.  On scene, victim reported leaving his apartment around 11:25 pm on 12/3/2015. He later realized he did not have his wallet on him and believed he had dropped it. Victim retraced his steps and found the wallet in the bushes near the rear of the building. The victim reported missing a small sum of money.

On December 4th, an officer was dispatched to Station St. for a past report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from a delivery service stating her package had arrived.  Upon arrival to her apartment, the victim noticed the package was missing from the foyer of the apartment.

On December 4th, an officer was dispatched to an apartment on St. Paul St. for a report of a past theft of a cellphone. On scene, the victim reported shopping at a local grocery store and on his arrival home he realized his cellphone was missing. The victim did not recall taking the phone out while shopping, nor felt anyone reach into his pocket. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 5th, an officer was dispatched to a resident on Monmouth St. for a report of a past larceny. The victim reported missing two plants from his back yard. The victim stated both plants were located in his back yard which is fenced in, meaning someone open the gate walked in and dug up both plants. The last time he noticed the plants was around 11/25/15.


On December 6th, an officer while on patrol observed a vehicle traveling inbound on Beacon Street take an illegal left turn onto Pleasant Street.  The officer activated his emergency blue lights and safely initiated a traffic stop. The officer advised the operator as to the reason for the stop and requested his license and registration to which the operator provided both. A query of the individual’s information revealed his license was suspended and subject was immediately placed under arrest without incident.
