Brookline Police are looking for any information for a hit and run of a pedestrian. Anyone who was in the area of Sumner road and Buckminster road on March 7th at 7:00PM. A jogger coming from the direction of Boylston street was running across the intersection and was struck by a motor vehicle that came from the same direction. The vehicle was turning left onto Buckminster and fled the scene. The jogger was taken to the hospital with, head, leg and upper body injuries. The injuries were not considered serious. Anyone who has information is asked to call the Police at 617-730-2222.

Police Reports 3/13-3/14
Arrest: 3/13 at 5:17 PM- Boylston St. / Sumner Rd.
A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Larceny Arrests: 3/13 at 4:57 PM- Harvard St.
Officers received a call for a shoplifting in the area of Harvard St. Officers were able to locate a subject in the area who matched the description. An employee positively identified the subject as the shoplifter. The female shoplifting subject entered a vehicle occupied by two male individuals. A search of the vehicle revealed items from another Brookline business for which a receipt could not be produced. All three individuals were then placed under arrest for Larceny from a Building. The female arrestee will additionally be charged with Possession of a Class C Drug and Possession of Class A Drug.

Not Duly Licensed: 3/14 at 12:21 AM- Washington St. / Pond Ave.
An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for the red traffic light as it traveled onto Washington Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington Street at Pond Avenue. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.
Breaking and Entering Arrest: 3/14 at 5:46 AM- Park St.
Officers responded to Park St. for the report of a breaking and entering. The victim stated that he awoke to find an unknown male asleep on his living room couch. A search of the suspect produced 2 laptops, a digital camera, a bottle of cologne and several other items that were positively identified as belonging to the residents. The suspect was then placed under arrest for Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime, Larceny in a Building, Trespassing, and Possession of Burglarious Tools.

Shoplifting: 3/12 at 5:19 PM- Commonwealth Ave.
An employee of a Commonwealth Ave. business reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that an individual left the store without making any purchase, and a short time later it was discovered that two jackets were missing. The suspect was described as a W/M, late 20s to early 30s, blue jeans, black jacket and a blue backpack.
Operating after Suspension: 3/12 at 9:02 PM- Green St.
An officer observed a vehicle parked in a no parking area. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Officers responded to the area of High St. for the report of a male individual urinating in public. Upon arrival, officers located an individual who matched the description. A witness positively identified the subject and he was placed under arrest for Open and Gross.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left hand turn from Chestnut Hill Ave. onto Clinton Rd. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Clinton Rd. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license and that she had a warrant out of Brighton District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for the warrant and Unlicensed Operation.

An individual reported a breaking and entering and larceny. The victim stated that when he returned to his apartment he discovered the front door was unlocked. A television and two bicycles were missing.

Operating after Revocation: 3/11 at 6:45 PM- Beacon St. / Marion St.
Officers received a call for an erratic driver on Beacon St. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Beacon St. A query revealed that the driver had a revoked license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Arrest: 3/10 at 3:03 PM- Chestnut Hill Ave.
Officers responded to the area of Chestnut Hill Ave for a report of a subject looking into parked motor vehicles. Officers were able to locate a subject fitting the description in the area. A query revealed that the subject had two default warrants out of Brockton and Quincy District Courts. A search produced several items that had been removed from vehicles. The subject was placed under arrest.

B&E MV: 3/10 between 2:50 and 3:40 PM- Egmont St.
An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle on Egmont St. at approximately 2:50 PM on 3/10. When he returned he discovered that the rear passenger window had been smashed in. The victim reported several text books and a thumb drive stolen from the vehicle.
Operating after Suspension: 3/10 at 8:00 PM- Commonwealth Ave.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling with defective equipment. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Commonwealth Ave. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the vehicle did not have an inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.
Drug Arrests: 3/10 at 11:37 PM- High St.
Officers observed a vehicle fail to stop for a stop sign. The officers initiated a traffic stop on High St. A consent search of a passenger produced marijuana, Oxycodone, and cash. The passenger was placed under arrest for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law. A search of the driver produced several pills for which he did not have a prescription. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension, Possession of Class B, and Possession of Class C. A second passenger was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law.

An individual reported the larceny of a laptop. The victim stated that she placed a laptop in an open bag underneath a desk in her office. When she returned to her office she discovered that the laptop was missing.

OUIL: 3/10 at 3:24 AM- Washington St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at night time without an illuminated license plate. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. Upon reaching the driver’s window the officer could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Based on the observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor.

B&E MV: Between 3/8 and 3/9- Fairway Rd.
A Fairway Rd. resident reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle in her driveway overnight on 3/8, and when she returned the next morning she discovered that someone had entered the car. The victim stated that the front passenger seat had been reclined and the contents of the glove compartment were strewn throughout the front of the vehicle. The victim did not report anything stolen from the vehicle.

Officers responded to Chestnut Pl. for a report of two male subjects causing a disturbance. Officers were able to stop two subjects who matched the description in the area. While in the presence of the officers, the two individuals started yelling and acting in an aggressive manner. The two individuals were placed under arrest for Disturbing the Peace.
