 Monday, August 2

ASSAULT - Officers responded to a call on Beacon St. at around 10:30 pm. The victims shared that a man confronted them, asking if they wanted to fight, and proceeded to push one of the victims. The suspect then left the area. Officers are checking the area for surveillance footage of the altercation.


Tuesday, August 3

CAR BREAK - Offers responded to a report of a car break on Columbia St. The victim witnessed an individual ride away on a bike that had been stored in their vehicle. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect and return the property.


Wednesday, August 4

FOUND PROPERTY -  Officers were called to the corner of Aspinwall and Brookline Ave for a report of found property.  They were given a child's backpack with a fan inside and brought it to the station for safekeeping.

DAMAGE TO A BUILDING -  Officers responded to Beverly Rd. for a report of malicious damage. The reporting party said he found other debris in the area suggesting youths like to hang out in the area.


Friday, August 6

ID FRAUD - Officers responded to an unemployment fraud report where an unemployment benefit claim was made in the victim's name. The reporting party alerted the bank and were advised to check all accounts for suspicious activity.


Saturday, August 7

BIKE THEFT -  Officers responded to a call regarding a bike theft on Craig Pl. The victim reported they left the bike outside their apartment building and noticed the bike missing the morning after. Officers are looking at surveillance footage of the area and investigating further.


Sunday, August 8

BIKE THEFT -  Officers responded to a call regarding a bike theft on Village Wy. The bike had been secured to a fence, but the victim later found it missing, the lock having been cut and the seat removed. Officers are looking at surveillance footage of the area and investigating further.

CAR BREAK - Officers responded to a call regarding a car break on Francis St. The victim shared that they discovered the fuse box cover removed and left on the driver's side floor. They do not believe anything else to have been taken. 

BAT EXPOSURE - Officers were contacted by an individual who shared that they had trapped a bat that was flying in their bathroom. The police took custody of it to submit for rabies testing and advised the individual to be tested as well.

FOUND PROPERTY - Officers responded to Cypress St for a report of found property.  Officers were given a bike, along with three books in the basket, and brought it to the station for safekeeping.
