An officer took a report for car breaks. At approximately 0227 hrs, a vehicle in seen entering a parking lot in the area of Hurd Rd. The suspect exits his vehicles and opens the unlocked doors of two separate vehicles. It is unknown if anything was stolen. The suspect then leaves the lot in his vehicle.

An officer took a car break report from a residence on Walnut St. Sometime overnight, two vehicles were entered through unlocked doors. Items were disturbed, but nothing was reported stolen.
At 1015 hrs, officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave for a shoplifting that just occurred. One suspect was stopped just outside the business entrance. He admitted to shoplifting, but provided a false ID. His identity was later learned and several warrants were found for his arrest. This suspect was arrested for shoplifting and the warrants. A second suspect was located inside the store. The second suspect was identified and several warrants for his arrest were found. This suspect was placed under arrest for the warrants.
At 1804 hrs, officers responded to the main library on Washington St for a fight between two patrons. The victim stated that he woke the suspect from sleeping at a computer by shaking him. The suspect responded to being woken by punching the victim in the head. It was later learned that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest and was in possession of a pill bottle belonging to someone else. The suspect was arrested for assault and battery on an elderly person, possession of class e drugs and the warrant.

An officer took a report for a stolen cell phone. Between 0930 and 1200 hrs, the victim was at a school on Goddard Ave and left her bag with a phone in it unattended. When the victim returned, the phone was no longer in her bag and was being tracked to Cambridge.
An officer took a report for a car break. Sometime overnight a vehicle on High St was entered through unlocked doors and a door stopper was stolen.
Officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. Staff stated two suspects were concealing hygeine products and laundry detergent in their personal bags and subsequently fled. The suspects were stopped further down Harvard St and subsequently arrested for shoplifting and warrants.
Officers responded twice in the afternoon for well being checks of two individuals sleeping in an ATM vestibule on Beacon St. Shortly after the second well being checked, it was learned that the two individuals had shoplifted from a nearby store earlier in the day. Both individuals were subsequently arrested for shoplifting.
At 1500 hrs, an officer responded to a person bit by a dog on Harvard St. Upon further investigation it was learned that the dog in question had bit another dog tied to a bench on the sidewalk after being spooked by a passing vehicle. Bystanders attempted to separate the dogs and in the process were bit with one person requiring transport to the hospital. Both dog owners were cited for various by-law violations.

At 1155 hrs, officers observed a subject they are familiar with for shoplifting exit a business on Washington St holding merchandise. The subject was stopped and upon further investigation it was learned that the subject had concealed merchandise in his jacket and left without paying. The subject was arrested for shoplifting.
An officer took a report for a past stolen wallet. The victim stated he left his wallet in the restaurant when leaving after his shift. Upon returning to the restaurant to retrieve his wallet it could not be located. Video surveillance inside the restaurant showed another employee stealing the wallet. Upon further investigation, the suspect was summonsed for larceny.

At 1322 hrs, officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting. Staff stated the suspect concealed beauty products in his bag and dropped them when he was confronted. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
At 1738 hrs, officers responded to a business on Beacon St for a stolen cell phone. The victim stated she left her cell phone in the bathroom and it was gone when she returned to locate it. The woman who used the bathroom after her was confronted and the victim could hear the phone ringing in her bag. The suspect eventually admitted to taking the cell phone. She was arrested for the larceny as well as several warrants.

At 2318 hrs, officers responded to a residence on Beals St for a dispute between roommates. Both had conflicting stories as to how the argument became physical. Both were summonsed for mutual assault and battery.
At 0847 hrs, an officer responded to a business on Harvard St for a stolen laptop. The victim stated he left his laptop in the ATM area of the business while conducting business. After determining he left the laptop behind, he was unable to locate it when he went back.
An officer took a report for a past assault. The victim stated she and her son observed a male urinating on a building near the intersection of Washington St and White Pl. When confronted the suspect was verbally confrontational and threatened physical violence.
At 1630 hrs, officers responded to a business on Beacon St for an individual attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Upon further investigation, the suspect was arrested for attempted larceny and fraud.

At 0919 hrs, officers assisted the Fire Department with a porch fire on Powell St. The fire was extinguished and was possibly started by a cigarette.

An officer took a report for a past stolen wallet. The wallet was stolen from the victim's jacket while it was unattended in a gym on Tappan St.

An officer took a report for a past assault and battery. The victim and suspect were in the common area of a residence on Centre St. The suspect went to grab her child who was running around and in the process grabbed a cell phone out of the victim's hand and slammed it on the table causing damage. The suspect was summonsed for assault and battery as well as malicious damage.

At 1733 hrs an officer responded to a residence on Kenwood St for a package theft that occurred in the past hour. The package was delivered to the front porch area of the residence and was stolen prior to the victim retrieving it.

An officer took a report for a stolen cell phone from a school on Park St. The phone was stolen sometime between 0900 and 1200 hrs during a sports game. The phone was tracked to Cambridge, but was unable to be recovered.
