MV Accident:
Occurred at 4:35 PM on 8/24 – Princeton St./LaGrange St.
A vehicle was traveling south on LaGrange and passed Princeton. As this vehicle passed Princeton, another vehicle came out of Princeton and clipped the first vehicle. The second driver received a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign.

8/22-8/23
OUI:
Occurred at 8:16 PM on 8/22 – Harvard St./Fuller St.
Officers responded to the area for a vehicle that had lost a tire and was stopped in the roadway. Officers approached the vehicle and found the keys in the ignition and the motor running but the driver was not in sight. The caller reported driving behind the vehicle which had lost the tire and observed it happening. After receiving a description of the driver, officers began searching the neighborhood. She was found sitting on the sidewalk on Thorndike St. After further investigation it was determined that she had been Operating Under the Influence and was arrested.
Burglary:
Occurred Overnight, 12:15 AM – Washington St./River Rd.
Officers were dispatched to a business in the area for a business alarm that had gone off. Upon arrival it was noticed that a front window had been pushed inwards and there were shoeprints. The front door was unlocked, and there was a plastic folding chair with a shoeprint on it, as well as an overturned bucket which appeared to have been used as a step. The cash register was missing as well.
Officers viewed the surveillance tapes and discovered the suspect to be a light skinned male of unknown height or age, with what appeared to be a dark colored shirt wrapped around his face and head with a hat underneath while wearing a light colored t-shirt, light colored shorts, light colored socks and a dark colored pair of sandals. It was further determined via further review of the surveillance footage that the suspect used a light in color motor vehicle, possibly a newer model Honda Accord. This incident is currently under investigation by the Detective Division.

8/19-8/22
Burglary:
Occurred Overnight, 8/21-8/22 - Harvard St./Babcock St.
Officers responded to the area for a reported burglary. The manager reported the co-manager arrived at 5:30 AM on 8/22 and observed the basement door pried open and several items were out of place. In the office, the alarm wires had been cut, and a filing cabinet drawer was open. The locking mechanism on a handicapped door also appeared to have been tampered with.
Malicious Damage:
Occurred at 11:37 AM on 8/21 - Cypress St./Tappan St.
A victim came to the police station to report a biker had purposely smashed her side view mirror with his hand. An officer on patrol later in the day spotted a biker matching the description, and conducted a field interview. The biker reported that he was not in the area at the time of the incident, and that he was on his way to lunch with his father. Another officer who also conducting the interview noticed fresh cuts on the biker's arm. The victim positively identified him as the biker involved in the incident. He will be summonsed to court for Malicious Destruction of Property.

A vehicle was waiting in the right lane in order to make the turn from Beacon onto Harvard. Another vehicle came up Beacon in the straight travel lane, passed the first vehicle on the left, and attempted to turn onto Harvard as well. The second vehicle struck the first. There were no reported injuries.
