11/30/2016

On November 30, while on patrol, officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at the red light at the intersection of Washington St. and Davis Ave. The officers initiated a traffic stop and found that the driver was operating with a revoked license. The driver was placed under arrest.


While on patrol in the area of Harvard St. and Aspinwall Ave., officers were flagged down by an employee of a nearby store. The woman stated that a man had just shoplifted from the store and fled on foot. The matter is under investigation.

11/22/2016

On November 22, officers observed a male operating a scooter on Beacon St. unsafely cutting off other vehicles. Officers conducted a traffic stop and found that the operator had a revoked license. The man was placed under arrest.

11/23/2016

On November 23, an officer was dispatched to Harvard Ave. for a report of larceny. The victim reported that he had left his bike on the side of his building the night before and when he returned for it, it was gone.

In the evening of November 23, officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave. for a larceny report. The victim stated she had put her belongings into a locker and when she returned for them she found that items had been taken from her purse. The matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to a business on Commonwealth Ave. for a past shoplifting report. The store manager stated that earlier in the day a man had entered the store, placed items into a bag, and left without paying. The incident is being investigated.

On November 24, while patrolling the area of Harvard St. and Beacon St., officers ran a random query of a vehicle and found that the registered owner had an active warrant in his name. The officers conducted a traffic stop, verified the identity of the driver, and placed him under arrest.

11/25/2016

On November 25, officers responded to a business on Harvard St. for a larceny report. The reporting party stated that a man had entered the store, taken the money from the tip jar, and left the business. The matter is under investigation.

11/26/2016

In the early morning of November 26, an officer ran a random query of a vehicle travelling on Harvard St. and found that the license plates had been cancelled and were originally issued to a different vehicle. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was placed under arrest.

On November 26, an officer witnessed a vehicle drive past a stop sign on Green St. without stopping. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver had an active warrant in his name. The driver was placed under arrest.

11/27/2016

On November 27, an officer responded to Beacon St. for a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that the rear driver’s side window of the vehicle had been smashed and items were taken from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

11/28/2016

On November 28, while patrolling the area of Coolidge Corner an officer was approached by a store owner who stated an employee had told her a woman was attempting to shoplift from the store. The officer spoke to the employee at the Beacon St. store who stated that a woman had placed items into a bag and was attempting to conceal them. The woman was still in the store and after making contact with her, officers found that the woman had active warrants in her name. The woman was placed under arrest.

On November 29, an officer responded to Tappan St. for a larceny report. The victim stated that her backpack and jacket had been taken from inside the business. The matter is under investigation.

Early in the morning an officer responded to Harvard St. for a report of an unarmed robbery attempt. The victim stated that a man approached him in a ski mask and asked for money at which point he had called the police. Officers in the area encountered a man fitting the description of the suspect and were able to confirm it was the right man. He was placed under arrest for attempt to commit a crime—unarmed robbery.
