Police Reports 1/16-1/17

Operating after Revocation: 1/17 at 8:50 AM- Independence Dr.

An officer observed a vehicle travel through a red light at Grove St and Beverly Rd. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Independence Dr. A license and registration check revealed that the driver had a revoked license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Sector 2

Burglary: 1/16 between 12:50 and 3:30 PM- Kent St.

A Kent St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that when she returned home, she discovered that someone had entered the apartment and stolen a laptop and jewelry.

Police Reports 1/15-1/16

Operating after Suspension: 1/15 at 6:44 PM- Washington St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling without functional taillights. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington St. and Corey Rd. A license and registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 5

Burglary: 1/15 between 11:00 AM and 5:15 PM- Sumner Rd.

A Sumner Rd. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that when she returned to her home she discovered that her front door had been forced open and that her home had been ransacked.

Operating after Suspension: 1/16 at 12:27 AM- Boylston St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Boylston St. at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 9

Operating after Suspension: 1/16 at 12:37 PM- Grove St.

An officer observed a vehicle travel through a red light at Clyde St. and Newton St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Grove St. and Allandale Rd. A license and registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Police Reports 1/14-1/15

Arrest: 1/14 at 10:18 PM- Commonwealth Ave.

An officer observed an individual removing items from a shed and a dumpster outside a business on Commonwealth Ave. The individual was removing car batteries from the shed and placing them in his vehicle. The individual was placed under arrest for Larceny from a Building, Receiving Stolen Property, and Operating after Suspension.

Sector 8

Operating after Suspension: 1/14 at 11:53- Boylston St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Boylston St. at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A license and registration check revealed that the operator’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Police Reports 1/13-1/14

MV Theft: 1/13 at 3:31 PM- Lyman Rd.

A Lyman Rd. resident reported two motorcycles stolen from a storage container. The victim stated that he last saw the motorcycles in 2010.

Sector 5

Arrest: 1/13 at 8:23 PM- Winthrop Rd.

A Winthrop St. resident reported that his bicycle had been stolen from the basement and that he suspected someone was sleeping in the basement without authorization. Officers observed an individual sleeping on a mattress in the basement. The individual was placed under arrest for Trespassing. The arrestee was also charged with Breaking and Entering with Intent to Commit a Felony after the bicycle was recovered.

Sector 7

Operating after Suspension: 1/13 at 4:17 PM- Goddard Ave.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Goddard Ave. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Goddard Ave. A license and registration check revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Police Reports 1/11-1/12

Burglary: 1/11- Hammond St.

A Hammond St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that when he arrived home, he discovered that someone had entered the residence and rummaged  through a bedroom.

B&E: Between 1/10 and 1/12- Waverly St.

A Waverly St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that she returned home from a trip on 1/12 and discovered that someone had broken into the residence. A window in the rear of the house was found to be smashed. A laptop and jewelry were reported stolen.

Sector 1

Shoplifting: 1/11 at 5:05 PM- Harvard St.

A TJ Maxx employee reported a shoplifting. A loss prevention employee stated that he observed a suspect concealing merchandise in a bag and in his clothing. The suspect was placed under arrest for Shoplifting.

Sector 2

Warrant: 1/12 at 12:22 AM- Beacon St.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal turn on Beacon St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Beacon St. A query revealed that the operator had a warrant out of Boston Municipal Court. The driver was placed under arrest for the warrant.

Operating after Revocation: 1/12 at 11:56 PM- Beacon St./Borland Rd.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had a revoked license. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Beacon Street and Borland Rd. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Sector 5

Assault: 1/12 at 3:39 PM- Greenough St.

An individual reported that he had been assaulted while walking on Greenough St. The victim stated that he was walking on Greenough St. when an unknown suspect punched him in the arm. Officers were able to stop a man in the area who fit the description. The victim positively identified the individual, and he was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery.

Police Reports 1/10-1/11

Sector 2

Traffic Offenses: 1/10 at 6:25 PM- Parkway Rd.

An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Parkway Rd and Netherlands Rd. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Parkway Rd. A license and registration check revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The operator will be summonsed to court for Operating after Suspension.

Warrants: 1/11 at 12:25 AM- Harvard St./ Longwood Ave.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had several warrants for his arrest out of Massachusetts and Texas. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Harvard St. and Longwood Ave. The operator was confirmed to be the registered owner, and he was placed under arrest for the warrants. The arrestee was also issued a citation for Possession of One Ounce or Less of Marijuana.

Traffic Offenses: 1/11 at 12:34 AM–Station St.

An officer observed a motor make an illegal left turn onto Washington St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Station St. A license and registration check revealed that the driver’s right to operate in Massachusetts had been suspended. The operator will be summonsed to court for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 3

OUIL: 1/11 at 1:25 AM- Beacon St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Beacon St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Beacon St. Upon reaching the driver’s window the officer could detect an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Based on the officer’s observations, the operator was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, and Operating a MV without a License.

Burglary: Between 1/10 at 6:00 AM and 1/11 at 6:00 AM- Thorndike St.

A Thorndike St. resident reported a Breaking and Entering. The victim stated that sometime between 1/10/13 at approximately 6:00 AM and 1/11/13 at 6:00 AM an unknown suspect(s) made entry through a basement bulkhead door. Nothing was reported stolen.
