Shoplifting: 3/20 at 2:54 PM- Commonwealth Ave.
A CVS employee reported a shoplifter. The employee stated that she observed a male suspect place items from a shelf into a duffel bag. The suspect could not produce a receipt for said items, and he was placed under arrest for Shoplifting.
Warrant Arrest: 3/20- Commonwealth Ave.
An employee of a Commonwealth Ave. business reported that an individual wanted for a 3/12/13 Shoplifting incident was currently in the store. Officers responded and arrested the subject for the warrant out of Brookline District Court as well as a default warrant out of Dedham District Court.
Shoplifting: 3/20 at 3:28 PM- Harvard St.
A TJ Maxx employee reported a shoplifter. The employee stated that the suspect (white male in his early to mid 20's, 5'8", slim build, no facial hair, and a heavily tattooed left forearm) was observed concealing items in his clothing. When the suspect attempted to leave the store he shoved an employee who attempted to stop him. A search of the area yielded negative results.

A TJ Maxx employee reported a shoplifter. The employee stated that the suspect (a black male, approximately 30 year of age, medium build, medium complexion, short hair, light beard, and wearing a denim shirt with a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath) was observed concealing items in his clothing. When the suspect attempted to leave the store he shoved an employee who attempted to stop him. A search of the area yielded negative results.
Sector 2
Drug Arrests: 3/20 at 5:51 PM- Brookline Place West
A query of a vehicle revealed that the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Brookline Place West. While the officer spoke to the driver, the passenger reached in the back seat and adjusted a blanket. The officer then observed something moving underneath the blanket, which was revealed to be a 3 year old child who was not properly secured. A search of a bag located in the back seat produced heroin and drug paraphernalia.The driver was placed under arrest for Possession of Class A (Heroin) and Operating After Suspension. The passenger was placed under arrest for Knowingly Being Present where Heroin is Kept.
When the child’s mother came to the station to take custody, a query revealed that she had a default warrant out of Boston District Court. She was placed under arrest for the warrant. The child was released to a grandmother.
Sector 3
Burglary: 3/20 between 7:55 AM and 5:20 PM- Beacon St.
A Beacon St. resident reported a burglary. The victim stated that when she returned to her residence she discovered that loose change, jewelry, a laptop, headphones, and an iPod were missing from her room. Loose change and a second laptop were reported stolen from another room.

Missing 12 yr old female
MISSING: 12 Year Old female out of High Street,
Last seen this morning by a friend. Missing female did not get on the school bus on High Street (which transports her to the Driscoll School) and instead stated that she was going to walk to school.
Units are currently checking establishments, Libraries, eateries and others along her alledged walk to school. She is described as;
Height 5' 2", slim
Hispanic Female
Braces
Black jacket with a hood and fur collar
wearing "skinny" blue jeans
light blue back pack with white pock-a-dots
Nike sneakers, purple in color with a little bit of grey in them
Hair is in a pony tail

Police Reports 3/18-3/19
Sector 4
Arrest: 3/18 at 11:28 AM- Washington St. / Pond Ave.
Officers observed a vehicle with an obscured license plate. The officers initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. A query revealed that the passenger had a default warrant out of Quincy District Court. The passenger was placed under arrest for the warrant.
Since February 1st there have been 5 larcenies and 1 motor vehicle theft in Brookline as the result of belongings not having been properly secured in the lockers of several fitness facilities. We would like to take this opportunity to remind citizens of the following safety precautions:
• If you have items of value, try to leave them at home.
• Use a lock on your gym locker.
• Never leave your bags, purses, wallets, smartphones or any other possessions unattended even for a moment. Know where your property is when you are working out.
• Be aware of your surroundings in the parking lot, on the workout floor and in the locker room and report any suspicious activity to staff immediately.
• Keep a written record of valuables, including descriptions and serial numbers. These are proof that the property is yours and will aid in the reporting process and recovery.

Operating after Suspension: 3/17 at 10:18 PM- Boylston St.
An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn onto Boylston St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating After suspension.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with a defective license plate light. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard Street. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating After suspension.

Arrest: 3/16 at 2:26 PM- Harvard St.
An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Harvard Street and Green Street. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Harvard Street. A query revealed that the driver's license was currently suspended and that he had a straight warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension and the warrant.

Attempted Burglary: 3/17 at 3:18 AM- Beacon St.
Officers responded to a Beacon St. residence for a report of an attempted Breaking and Entering. The victim stated that a male individual opened her bedroom window and fled when the victim screamed. Officers were able to locate a male individual who fit the description in the vicinity. The victim was able to positively identify the individual and he was placed under arrest for Public Drinking, Attempted Breaking and Entering in the Night Time, and Disorderly Conduct.

MV Theft: 3/17 at 3:30 PM- Harvard St.
An individual reported that her motor vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot on Harvard St. The victim stated that someone removed her car keys from her gym locker and stole her vehicle which was parked in the lot outside. A purse and iPhone were stolen along with the vehicle.

OUIL: 3/16 at 2:16 AM- Boylston St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Boylston St. The vehicle additionally failed to stop for the red traffic light on Boylston Street at Cypress Street, as well as making an illegal U-turn. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston Street at Brington Road. The officer could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from within the vehicle. Based on the observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor. The arrestee was additionally charged with Operating without a License, Open Container, and Possession of Class B Drug.
