Police Reports August 21, 2014


On August 21, an officer observed a vehicle driving the wrong direction on Marion St. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked the driver for his license and registration. Based on information obtained at the scene, it was determined that the driver was operating under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and his license was suspended.

 Police Reports August 20, 2014

On August 20, officers responded to Walnut St for a report of a breaking and entering. The individual was home when someone broke into her house. Items were not missing from the home. The deck appeared to be forced open.

On August 20, an officer responded to Princeton Rd for a report of a past larceny. The individual recently had landscaping done on his property and upon his arrival home he noticed that 10 plants were missing. Please be aware. This is a common theft in the summer months.

On August 20, an officer responded to a business on Harvard St for a report of a past larceny. A subject came into the business and took the tip jar then left on his bicycle north on Harvard St. The subject is identified as a white male, thin, short black hair wearing a white t-shirt with black striped shoulders, red and black shorts, white socks and black sneakers. The matter is under investigation.

On August 20, an officer responded to a business on Beacon St for a report of a missing display cellphone. Earlier that day, the cellphone was taken from the display and replaced with another cellphone. The matter is under investigation.

On August 20, an officer responded to Winslow Rd for a report of stolen packages. Three packages were opened and the contents were missing. Please be aware of package theft and seek making arrangements to sign or pick up the package.


On August 20, officers responded to Harvard St for a report of stolen packages. Two packages were rummaged through, but nothing was taken. One package had items missing.  Please be aware of package theft and seek making arrangements to sign or pick up the package.

Police Reports for August 19, 2014


On August 19, an officer responded to a business along Commonwealth Ave for reports of threats by phone. The officer met with the employee of the business who stated that he received threatening phone calls from a costumer. The subject is summonsed to Brookline District Court for charges of threats to commit a crime.

Police Reports for August 18, 2014

On August 18, a subject who had an outstanding warrant was placed under arrest at on Washington St.

On August 18, an officer observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker operating on Thayer St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for his license and registration. The driver had a suspended license and the passenger had an active arrest warrant. Based on information obtained at the scene, 79 grams of the class “A” substance heroin was discovered in the vehicle. Both subjects were placed under arrest.

On August 18, an officer responded to Harvard St for a report of shoplifting. Items that belonged to the store were discovered on the subject.  Upon arrival, the subject was still present in the store and was placed under arrest.

On August 18, an officer responded to Perry St for a report of a past breaking and entering. An individual heard someone knock at the main door then enter the apartment. The subject opened the apartment door with a flathead screw driver. Some items were taken from the apartment. The matter is under investigation.


On August 18, an officer responded to Westbourne Terrace for a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The three subjects then fled the area on bicycles. Two of the subjects were stopped for the breaking and entering of the motor vehicle. Both subjects were placed under arrest for the breaking and entering and receiving stolen property. Based on information obtained at the scene, one subject was also in possession of a class “B” controlled substance.

Police Reports August 15, 2014 through August 17, 2014

On August 15, an officer responded to Euston St for three reports of stolen packages. The packages are believed to be stolen from the front lobby. Please be aware that this is a common theft. Since the beginning of 2014, there have been 41 reported package thefts.

On August 15, officer’s observed a vehicle operating on Harvard St and Beals St with an expired registration sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On August 15, an officer observed a vehicle do an illegal U-turn along Harvard St. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver’s license was suspended and the driver was placed under arrest.

On August 17, an officer conducted a random query of a passing vehicle along Harvard St and Green St. The registered owner of the vehicle had a warrant for their arrest. The officer pulled the vehicle over and asked the driver for their license and registration. The driver was the owner of the vehicle and the warrant was confirmed. The driver was placed under arrest.


On August 18, an officer observed a vehicle speeding along Beacon St. The vehicle was pulled over. Based on information obtained at the stop, it was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and his license was suspended.
