November 1st Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:05PM (11/01) - 1103 Beacon Street

Melissa Mejia, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after Suspension, and other various vehicular violations.

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle traveling without a front license plate, an after stopping the vehicle further inspection revealed the woman had an expired registration sticker, as well as a suspended license, the woman was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8PM (10/31) and 9AM (11/01) - 35 Milton Road

Victim reported that sometime over night a suspect gained entry into his unlocked vehicle and took $10 in loose change, and a Sony stereo remote control valued at $100 from inside.

Robbery

  • Occurred between 9:30PM and 10PM (10/17)- 22 Chestnut Place

Victim reported being previously robbed by a black male suspect who was yielding a dark handgun. The man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as the victim’s purse. The suspect was last seen wearing a hoodie sweatshirt.

October 31st Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:14PM (10/31)- 25 Longwood Ave

Angel Montes, 71 yrs, was arrested and charged with larceny.

While on patrol detectives observed a suspect later identified as Angel Montes acting suspiciously while switching items between two bags in an alleyway. When officers approached the man to inquire about his actions Montes dropped both bags he was carrying and started to flee. Police checked the bags and found that they contained a large quantity of over the counter pain medication. Police contacted a local CVS and discovered the items, totaling $343.89 in loss, had been recently stolen from CVS. Montes was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 2:47AM (11/1)- Harvard Street/ Pierce Street

Slavisa Dincik, 32 yrs, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery and Disorderly Conduct.

Police arrived outside Matt Murphy’s Pub and witnessed a group of males wrestling on the sidewalk. Police started questioning suspects and one suspect later identified as Slavisa Dincik fled the scene while being questioned. Police found Dincik a short time later and he was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 11:19PM (10/31)- Washington Street/ Greenough Street

An operator was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquors and other various traffic offenses.

While an officer was on his way to the station he was passed by a vehicle bearing flashing blue lights in its front and rear, these lights were acting quite similar to a siren. The vehicle traveled over the double yellow line to pass vehicles and was also speeding.

Summons

  • Occurred at 10:15PM (10/31)- 335 Harvard Street

A Brookline High School Student will be summonsed to court for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana). Police responded to a call of kids throwing eggs and upon arrival discovered the juvenile suspect who consented to a search of his backpack which contained several full cans of beer, a bag of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana in addition to a glass pipe and Marijuana grinder.

Assault

  • Occurred between 8:40PM and 8:53PM (10/31)- 209 Aspinwall Avenue

Victim reported that while walking to the front steps of his apartment building he was approached by two white males both wearing hooded sweatshirts with bandanas covering their faces, the two men assaulted the victim by repeatedly punching and kicking him then fled towards Kent Street. Police canvassed the area for suspects but were unable to find the men; this case is still under investigation

October 29th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 5:46PM (10/29)- 50 Russell Street

Robert Lewis, 54 yrs, was arrested and charged with Burglary,

Police responded to a call of a breaking and entering and found the suspect inside an apartment. Police saw a bat and a broken window in the apartment and determined that this was how entry was gained into the residence, the suspect was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 5PM (10/29)

William Jackson, 24 yrs, was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and Battery.

  • Occurred at 12:03AM (10/30)- 40 Babcock Street

Suspect was arrested and charged with Malicious Damage of an Automobile, and being a Disorderly Person.

Victim reported that he witnessed his neighbor pull his truck into a spot and repeatedly scratch his mother’s car which was parked adjacent to it. Police arrived and questioned the suspect who became belligerent and was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 3:30PM and 5PM (10/25) -20 Newton Street

A student at the Dexter School reported that sometime during soccer practice his Ipod valued at $450 was stolen from his unsecured locker.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 7:37PM (9/01) and 7:37PM (9/30)- 60 Dwight Street

Victim reported that someone had made fraudulent withdrawals totaling $1,276 from her bank account over the month of September; this case is still under investigation.

Summons

  • Occurred at 4:45PM (10/29) - 17 Stearns Road

Police on patrol pulled over a vehicle that had an expired registration. Further investigation revealed that the operator’s license had been suspended and his insurance had been revoked. The man will be summonsed to court for driving with a Revoked Registration, Operating after a Suspended License, and operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

October 28th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 2:05AM (10/28) - 40 Atherton Road

Amie Gauthier, 30 yrs, was arrested and charged with Disturbing the Peace, Resisting Arrest, and being a Disorderly Person.

Police responded to a loud party call and upon arrival saw a number of guests outside being loud and drinking alcoholic beverages. Once inside the residence police learned that earlier in the night the residents were warned about the loudness of their party by other officers, police were met with uncooperative guests and after a short time police arrested a belligerent female resident who struggled when being placed in custody. Once outside another man became quite combative towards officers and was placed in protective custody. Another roommate will be summonsed to court for disturbing the peace.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 11AM (10/27) and 11:15AM (10/28) - 455 Washington Street

Victim reported that an unknown suspect had smashed her window and placed a flower pot filled with dirt on the driver’s seat, it seems this item was used to break the window.

October 27th Police Reports

Summons

  • Occurred between 3:17AM and 3:45AM (10/27)-Beacon St/Charles St

Police were stopped by a taxi driver who reported seeing several youths walking down the street kicking over barrels and cones. Police questioned the two suspects and informed them they would be summonsed to court for Disorderly Conduct.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Occurred between 1PM (10/26) and 1:15PM (10/27) - 1200 Beacon Street

Victim reported that his 1989 red Toyota Camry had been stolen from the lot outside of the Holiday Inn. The vehicle’s value is unknown.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9AM (10/23) and 4:16PM (10/26) - 1555 Beacon Street

Victim reported that after ordering basketball tickets online he learned the tickets had been delivered without a signature, the victim did not receive the tickets which were valued at $104.35

  • Occurred between 5:30PM and 7PM (10/27) - 6 Elba Street

Victim reported that his car’s driver’s side window had been smashed and his GPS navigation system valued at $700 had been taken from the dashboard.

October 26th Police Report

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:52PM (10/26)- Heath Street/Yarmouth Road

Eugene Vaninov, 50 yrs was arrested and charged with Operating under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor.

Police responded to a call of a car fire where they determined the vehicles operator Eugene Vaninov to be under the influence of alcohol, he was subsequently arrested

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8PM (10/24) and 8AM (10/26)-212 Chestnut Street

Victim reported that her car had been damaged it appeared that the chrome around the victims rear passenger door had been pried off. The cost of this damage is unknown.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8AM and 10AM (10/22)- 50 School Street

Victim reported that his daughter’s Clarinet valued at $635 had been stolen her cubby at the Pierce School.

  • Occurred between 5:45PM and 6:45PM (10/26)-1393 Beacon Street

Victim reports that his vehicles front passenger window had been smashed and a GPS navigation system valued at $211 was stolen from the dashboard.
