Arrest: Occurred on 5/24 at 6:53 PM- Babcock St.
Officers observed two male subjects on Babcock St. Officers observed one of the subjects walk into the vestibule of a building and return to a vehicle with a package. With the knowledge that packages had been reported stolen earlier in the day in the close proximity, it was believed that the subject had just stolen the package from the building. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Upon reaching the driver’s window, the vehicle backed up and struck the police vehicle. The vehicle then fled from the police on Commonwealth Ave. The vehicle ran several red lights and maneuvered around traffic, pedestrians, and MBTA train tracks.
The vehicle failed to stop for the police, and the suspects left the car on Buick St. and fled on foot. The suspects jumped several fences, crossed over MBTA train tracks, and crossed over Storrow Drive on foot. With assistance from Boston Police, BU Police, and MA State Police, officers set up a perimeter around the area to search for the suspects. Officers were able to apprehend the suspects near the BU Bridge and the Charles River. A search produced the package in question, which was addressed to the Babcock St. residence.
The driver was placed under arrest for Larceny from a Building, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Motor Vehicle), Possession of Burglarious Tools, Operating after Revocation, Failure to Stop for Police, Operating to Endanger, and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage Accident. The passenger was placed under arrest for Larceny from a Building and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
Arrest: Occurred on 5/25 at 1:47 AM- Harvard St.
A vehicle traveled through a red light on Beacon St. onto Harvard St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.
Arrest: Occurred on 5/24 at 6:27 PM- Amory St./ Dummer St.
A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had an outstanding warrant out of Somerville District Court. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Dummer St. and Amory St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner, and he was placed under arrest for the warrant.

Police Reports 5/23-5/24
Arrest: Occurred on 5/23 at 7:11 PM- Toxteth St.
Officers responded to a Toxteth St. residence for the report of a larceny. The victim stated that a male subject had been at her residence watching television. After the subject left, the victim discovered that cash was missing from her wallet. Officers were able to locate the subject in the area of Harvard St. and Thorndike St. Based on the information, the subject was placed under arrest for Larceny from a Building.
The arrestee was in the company of two male subjects. A query revealed that one of the subjects had a default warrant. He was placed under arrest for the warrant.
Burglary: Occurred on 5/23 at 11:38 AM- Brook St.
A Brook St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that when she returned to her home, she discovered that her front door had been forced open. Several pieces of jewelry were taken from a bedroom.

A vehicle made an abrupt turn onto the sidewalk on Summit Ave. without using a signal. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Summit Ave. A query of the driver’s information revealed that she did not have a valid license. The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registration was revoked. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.
B&E Motor Vehicle: Occurred on 5/22- Harrison St.
An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle in the area of Harrison St. near Francis St. When she returned, she discovered that electronics were missing from the back seat of the vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry.
A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registration was revoked. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Arrest: Occurred on 5/21 at 3:24 PM- Washington St.
Officers responded to the area of Stop and Shop on Harvard St. for the report of suspicious activity. A witness notified police that it appeared that several people in a vehicle had just participated in a drug transaction. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Washington St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that her license had been revoked and that she had default warrants out of Woburn District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation and the warrants.
Shoplifting: Occurred on 5/21 at 2:58 PM- Beacon St.
An employee at Cambridge Eye Doctors reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that a male subject came into the store and tried on several pairs of sunglasses. The subject then left without purchasing anything. As the subject was leaving, the employee noticed that approximately 12 pairs of sunglasses were missing from the display. A search of the area yielded negative results. The subject was described as a black male, late thirty's to early forty's, wearing a tan coat, blue jeans, and possibly wearing aviator sunglasses.

Police Reports 5/17-5/21
OUIL: Occurred on 5/18 at 12:58 AM- Beacon St. / Chestnut Hill Ave.
A vehicle was traveling on Beacon St. at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Beacon St. Upon reaching the driver’s window, the officer could detect an odor of alcohol emanating from his person. Based on the observations, the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor.
Arrest: Occurred on 5/18 at 1:48 AM- Boylston St.
A vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed on Boylston St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he did not have a valid license. The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.
Larceny: Occurred on 5/18 between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM- Dummer St.
An individual reported the larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that he left his bicycle unlocked in the backyard of a Dummer St. residence. When he returned, he discovered that his bike was no longer there.
Burglary: Occurred on 5/18- Hammond Pond Parkway
A Hammond Pond Parkway resident reported a burglary. The victim stated that when she returned to her apartment, she discovered that the entry door had been pried open. The victim reported several items stolen from bedrooms and closets throughout the residence.

Officers responded to a hotel on Webster St. for the report of an unwanted person. A query of the subject’s information revealed that he had a default warrant out of Charlestown District Court. The subject was placed under arrest for the warrant.
Shoplifting: Occurred on 5/19 at 1:09 PM- Commonwealth Ave.
A CVS employee reported a shoplifter. The employee stated that he observed a subject take items from the shelves and place them into a backpack. The subject was placed under arrest for Shoplifting.
Arrest: Occurred on 5/19 at 5:20 PM- Harvard St.
A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had an active arrest warrant. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner. A query also revealed that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license. The operator was placed under arrest for the warrant and Not Duly Licensed.
