Re: September 4th Police Reports

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8:30PM (9/03) and 8:52AM (9/04) – 676 Washington St

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that her rear window had been smashed. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 7:00AM (8/01) and 12:00AM (8/13) – 165 Longwood Ave

Reporting party states that she was house sitting her friend’s home and when she went to check on the house she observed that the first floor, side room door was open. She observed that a bag containing two boxes of creams/lotions valued each at $300 was missing. Further investigation also revealed that the computer in this room was malfunctioning.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:06AM (9/04) – Freeman St

Police were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival police meet the victim who stated that she and her boyfriend were engaged in an argument, during which he slammed a door closed on her fingers. He was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

September 3rd 2008 Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (9/03) and 7:00PM (9/03) – 1187 Beacon St

Victim reports that she had locked her bicycle to a pole out in front of the Temple Obehei Shalom and upon returning to retrieve it she observed it was missing. It appeared that someone had lifted the bike off the pole.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8:00PM (9/01) and 8:00AM (9/02) – 652 Washington St

Reporting party states that she observed graffiti sprayed painted on the front wall of the Washington Terrace Condo Association building. There was white spray paint found in three areas of the wall; two of those areas were marked with the word “Tauros” and the third marking contained the letters “TSA”.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred at 11:49AM (9/03) – 342 Clyde St

Officers on patrol stopped a victim matching the description of a suspect who tried to break into a house via the kitchen window. Victim states that she had watched the suspect for several minutes ring her and her neighbor’s door bells before he attempted to break in. He was positively identified and was placed under arrest for breaking and entering.

September 2nd 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:10AM (9/03) – 1400 Beacon St

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the vehicle for a traffic violation further investigation revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension, and given citations for speeding and for failing to signal while changing lanes.

Larceny

  • Observed between 6:00PM (9/02) and 10:00PM (9/02) – 155 Coolidge St

Victim reports that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his front driver’s side window had been smashed. He observed that his Tom-Tom GPS valued at $112 was missing.

  • Occurred between 7:30AM (9/02) and 1:00PM (9/02) – 920 Commonwealth Ave

Victim reports that she had placed her backpack in an unlocked employee storage area. When she returned to retrieve it she observed that her wallet was missing. The wallet contained a debit card and a personal check book.

  • Occurred between 8:15AM (8/28) and 1:10PM (9/02) – 366 Russett Rd

Reporting party states that she was having work done on her house and had placed an American standard cast iron pedestal sink alongside the driveway, next to her house. After returning from vacation she observed that her sink was missing.

Re: August 29th - September 1, 2008

Burglary/ Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 11:30PM (8/31) and 11:00AM (9/01) – 563 Washington St

Victim states that upon returning home she observed that her basement window had been broken into and found that her dog was missing. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred between 3:30PM (9/01) and 4:00PM (9/01) – 1477 Beacon St

Victim reports that he was moving items to and from his apartment. He states that he left his apartment door unlocked and unoccupied for a few minutes and when he returned he observed that both his wallet and black Motorola Razor phone were missing from the top of his dresser in his living room. Victim states that he saw a Hispanic male in his early 20's wearing a white tank top and cut off jeans with a buzz cut walking around the basement area suspiciously.

  • Occurred between 4:30PM (8/31) and 10:00PM (8/31) – 10 Strathmore Rd

Victim states that upon entering her 3rd floor unit she observed several little pieces of wood scattered on the kitchen floor and noticed that the rear fire escape door had been damaged. The rear door on the 2nd floor had also been damaged. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 6:21PM (9/01) – Harvard St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle after a check revealed that the owner of the vehicle had a cancelled plate. After stopping the vehicle further investigation revealed that the driver’s license and registration had been suspended. Driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

  • Occurred at 2:59AM (9/01) – Pond Ave/ Chestnut St

Officers on patrol observed a vehicle parked in a restricted area. A computer check of the vehicle revealed that it had been reported stolen. After approaching the vehicle officers observed two individuals asleep. After waking them officers placed the driver under arrest for receiving stolen property.

  • Occurred between 1:41AM (9/01) – Commonwealth Ave

Officers on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through a four way intersection during heavy traffic. After stopping the driver further investigation revealed that he was operating the vehicle without a license. He was placed under arrest for not being duly licensed, operating to endanger/ reckless operation, and speeding.

  • Occurred between 3:50PM (8/31) and 4:25PM (8/31) – 155 Harvard St

Officers on patrol stopped a suspect who matched the description of shoplifter who just fled the Stop and Shop. The suspect was identified by store officials and was placed under arrest for shoplifting. Items stolen included a Stop and Shop cloth bag, seven cans of baby formula and a screwdriver and wrench tool set.

  • Occurred at 1:48PM (8/29) – White Pl

Police were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute. After questioning the individuals, further investigation revealed that one of them had an active warrant. He was placed under arrest.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 7:30PM (8/28) and 4:46PM (9/01) – 151 Lancaster TR

Victim reports that after returning from vacation he observed that someone had vandalized his garage doors. On the left door an inappropriate word was written in large purple spray paint. On one of the right door panels the letters “L2D” were written in small print. There was also one panel sprayed painted pink.

  • Occurred at 12:36PM (8/31) – 111 York Tr.

Reporting party states that someone had written on the front wall of his business the word “Auto Orbit” with the letter “A” circled.

  • Occurred at 9:59PM (8/31) – 151 Lancaster Tr.

Reporting party states that she observed the word “Molly” and the letters “LZD” written on a property on York Terrance. She also observed the letters “LSD” written on a fence on Lancaster Terrance. On a neighboring fence there was also the letter “A” with a circle around it. There were numerous street signs in the area that also had graffiti written on them. There have been similar incidents of graffiti seen around town.

  • Occurred between 1:30AM (8/31) and 1:44AM (8/31) – 205 Beverly Rd

Police on patrol observed graffiti written in black spray paint on a door at Baker School. The tag was six inches in height and spelled out the word “Dank” with another smaller tag spelling “Relax” underneath.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 9:00PM (8/31) and 12:00PM (9/01) – 101 Monmouth St

Victim states that after returning to his vehicle he observed two very long scratches extending from the rear bumper all the way to the front bumper on both the passenger and driver sides.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9:00AM (8/31) and 8:30PM (8/31) – 1471 Beacon St

Victim reports that he observed that his HP laptop, valued at $1200, had been taken from the top of his desk in his room. He stated that since it is move out week, the front door of his apartment might have been left unlocked. Missing items also included a Fossil watch and a Swiss Army watch.

  • Occurred (8/26) and 12:28PM (8/30) – 120 Boylston St

Victim reports that she had placed her portable GPS in the center console of her vehicle before having her car serviced at a garage. After her car was returned, she observed the following morning that her GPS was missing. She reports that both her doors and windows had been locked all night.

  • Occurred between 12:04AM (8/29) and 12:00PM (8/29) – 88 Boylston St

Victim reports that his motorized bicycle, which was locked with a rear tire lock, was stolen from the front sidewalk of his apartment. Victim reported that the bike had a rear flat tire. The motorized bike is described as a white 2006 Honda Rukus.

Breaking and Entering MV

  • Occurred between 7:30PM (8/30) and 10:06PM (8/31) – 90 Pleasant St

Victim reports that when he returned to his vehicle he observed that the passenger window had been smashed. He observed that his Megallen GPS had been missing from the dashboard.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 12:33PM (8/01) – Sewall St

Victim states that she received several threatening emails stating for her to send money orders in the amount of $6000 to an address in Nigeria. She started receiving these emails shortly after talking to an individual who she met through True.com.
