Aug. 25th- Aug. 26th

Arrest

Occurred between 12:47 PM and 1:20 PM (8/25) – Pleasant St.

Police responded to a report of a male subject vandalizing a fence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that she observed the subject use black spray paint on a white fence. Officers were also informed that the subject was also seen spray painting an MTBA kiosk glass. The suspect was subsequently located and placed under arrest for 2 counts of graffiti.

Occurred 11:15 AM (8/26) – Beacon St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been suspended. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension.


Occurred 11:20 AM (8/26) – Clyde St.


While patrolling, officers executed a traffic stop for a motor vehicle operating with a revoked registration and expired inspection sticker. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that the subject had a suspended Mass. driver’s license. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed.


Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (8/25) – Monmouth Ct. / Monmouth St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime while his vehicle was parked on a public way in Brookline, an unknown suspect smashed his passenger side window and entered his vehicle. The victim reported a laptop and GPS missing from the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Assault


Occurred 7:10 PM (8/26) – Boylston St.


Police responded to a report of an assault. The victim stated that while she was sitting in her parked vehicle a female subject approached her and began threatening her. The victim says the women subsequently attacked her with a tree branch. Officers immediately searched the area and located the suspect. Officers requested from Brookline Court that she be summonsed into court for assault by means of a dangerous weapon and threats.

Aug. 21st – Aug. 24th

Arrest


Occurred between 8:49 AM and 9:00 AM (8/21) – Lee St.


Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been suspended. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and further charged with speeding.


Occurred 12:53 PM (8/22) – Chapel St. / Colchester St.


While patrolling, officers observed a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and executed a traffic stop. A query of the vehicle and driver’s status was conducted which revealed a suspended Mass. license. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.


Burglary


Occurred between 2:00 AM (8/19) and 10:00 AM (8/20) – Chestnut Hill Ave.


Police responded to a report of a burglary. The victim stated that sometime while his backpack was left in his kitchen, an unknown suspect entered his home and took the backpack. The backpack contained an Apple computer, Apple iPad, and Apple cell phone. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 2:00 AM and 1:49 PM (8/21) – Harvard Pl.


Police responded to a report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that when she opened her bedroom window she discovered damage to the window frame that had not been there the previous day. A report was filed.


Larceny


Occurred between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM (8/21) – Beacon St.


Police responded to a report of a past larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that sometime during the previous day while his bike was in the rear parking lot of his building, an unknown suspect stole his bike. The bike was left chain-locked to a fence and is described as a grey Diamondback hybrid/road-bike. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 11:47 AM and 4:00 PM (8/24) – Harvard St.


Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime while she was in a local restaurant, an unknown suspect stole her Apple laptop from her bag. The victim informed officers that she did not leave the bag unattended at any time and she did not interact with anyone besides an employee. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred 8:30 PM (8/24) – Harvard St.


Police responded to a report of a larceny of a cell phone. The reporting party, a store manager, stated that she observed a male subject approach one of the display walls, disconnect a new black Motorola Droid 2 and run out of the store. After a brief search, police were unable to locate the suspect but will be conducting a follow-up investigation.
