Dec. 20th – Dec. 22nd

Arrest

Occurred 12:07 AM (12/22) – Summit Ave. /Beacon St.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a driving violation. Upon running a query of the driver’s information, officers discovered that her right to operate a vehicle had expired and her registration was revoked. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating without a license and for operating with a revoked registration.

Occurred 9:38 AM (12/22) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a subject with a warrant fleeing from the local courthouse. Officers arrived on scene and canvassed the area for the subject. After a brief search, officers located the subject and placed him under arrest for the warrant.

Assault

Occurred 2:52 AM (12/22) – Naples Rd.

Police responded to a report of a fight in progress. Officers met with the victim who stated that when he got home, he found an unknown male subject sitting on the front steps of his home and asked him to get off his property. Upon doing so, the subject assaulted him and fled the area. Police conducted a canvass of the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 7:30 AM (12/22) – St. Paul St.

Police responded to a report of a past road rage incident. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party who stated that while she was walking, she attempted to cross the street when a motor vehicle almost struck her. At this time, the operator of the vehicle began to yell at her and assaulted her. Officers spoke with the other party involved who claimed that it was the female subject who became aggressive and assaulted him. Police are requesting both parties be summonsed into Brookline District Court for assault and battery.

Graffiti

Occurred 5:10 AM (12/21) – Dwight St.

Police responded to a report of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that she had just discovered graffiti on a door of her apartment building. The graffiti was done in light blue spray paint and read “The boys. Winter of 2010”. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 2:29 AM (12/22) – Westbourne Tr.

Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the caller who stated that while she was in her apartment she heard glass break in her building. Officers observed damage to an apartment door and after a brief investigation determined that the suspect did not try to gain entry into an apartment. Police filed a report for the malicious damage.

Dec.16th – Dec. 19th

Arrest

Occurred between 2:36 AM and 3:15 (12/17) – Boylston St.

While conducting traffic enforcement, officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass had been suspended. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred 8:59 PM (12/17) – Eliot St. / Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the parties involved and noticed one of the operators appeared to be intoxicated. Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol on the female operator and observed her to have slurred speech, glassy, bloodshot eyes, and to be unsteady on her feet. Based on officer’s observations of the subject’s intoxicated appearance, she was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred 3:53 PM (12/18) – Winthrop Rd.

Police received information that fee based sexual activity was occurring at a local residence and subsequently initiated an investigation. As a result of the investigation, officers placed one female under arrest for offering sexual activity for a fee and one male subject under arrest for deriving support from prostitution. The investigation is still ongoing.

Occurred 10:50 PM (12/18) – Harvard St. / Beacon St.

While on patrol, police observed a male subject operating a vehicle erratically. Officers attempted to execute a motor vehicle stop. After officers attempt to stop the vehicle for several minutes, the operator was stopped and police observed him to have glassy, bloodshot eyes with an odor of alcohol emanating from his vehicle. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for failing to stop for officers, resisting arrest, operating under the influence of alcohol, assault and battery, and for threats to commit a crime.

Occurred 3:06 AM (12/19) – Beacon St.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for multiple driving violations. Upon approaching the operator, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed him to have slurred speech, glassy eyes, and unsteady on his feet. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol, operating negligently and for making an illegal left turn.

Occurred between 8:15 AM and 8:50 AM (12/19) – Harvard St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. A query of the driver’s information revealed that he did not have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for being operating without a license.

Larceny

Occurred between 12:00 PM (12/11) and 7:32 AM (12/18) – Lagrange St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during the previous week, someone stole the family's game system from his home. He informed police that his home is undergoing renovation which has involved several different contractors and sub-contractors having access to his home. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:10 PM and 3:30 PM (12/17) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that while she was at the car wash, she parked her car in a designated spot next to the vacuum machines and removed her belongings from the car. Upon doing so, she discovered her bag containing her Apple laptop and personal papers missing from the ground. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:15 PM and 2:59 PM (12/18) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local bagel shop. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated that while she sitting at a table, she put her brown cloth shoulder bag on the ground next to her. A short time later, she noticed her bag and personal belongings missing from the floor. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage


Occurred between 12:30 AM and 10:30 AM (12/18) – Euston St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his parked vehicle during the morning hours, he discovered profanity scratched into the trunk of his car. He informed police that the previous night, he had a minor altercation with a white male who had parked in his assigned parking spot and has not had any problems with anyone else. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 2:02 AM (12/18) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of an activated commercial alarm from a local business. Upon arrival, officers observed damage to the front door of the business and shattered glass. Police secured the premises and found no other damage. A report was filed.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 8:15 PM (12/18) and 8:15 AM (12/19) – Dwight St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime while his vehicle was parked in his assigned spot in the parking lot next to his building, it was broken into. A JVC CD receiver was reported stolen and police are following up on the case.

Graffiti

Occurred between 9:00 PM (12/17) and 11:18 AM (12/19) – Verndale St.

Police responded to a report of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that during the morning he discovered graffiti written in gold spray paint on the drive way next to his building. The reporting party informed police that the graffiti

Motor Vehicle Theft

Occurred between 7:30 PM (12/18) and 8:30 AM (12/19) – Strathmore Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny of a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that the previous night; he left his Toyota SUV parked in his shared parking space. When he returned for it the following morning, he discovered it missing. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

December 15th

Arrest

Occurred 10:52 AM (12/15) – Harvard St. / Babcock St.

While on patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle make an illegal U-turn and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he was operating with a suspended driver’s license and had two active arrest warrants. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for the warrants and for operating after suspension.

Occurred 12:35 PM (12/15) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred at a local grocery store. While en route to the store, police canvassed the area for the suspects and were able to locate one of the males. Officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that two males had come into the store, placed merchandise in a duffel bag and left the store without paying. Police subsequently the male suspect under arrest for shoplifting. Police are conducting a follow-up investigation to locate the second suspect who is described as a black male, in his 30’s, approximately 5’8 with a thin build and last seen wearing a black coat.

Occurred 12:53 PM (12/15) – Alton St. / Alton Pl.

While investigating a shoplifting call, police came across a male acting in a suspicious manner. Police identified the male and upon doing so discovered that he had an active arrest warrant. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for the warrant.

Dec. 13th – Dec. 14th

Arrest

Occurred 10:29 AM (12/13) – Browne St.

While on patrol, officers executed a motor vehicle stop for a driving violation. A query of the driver’s information revealed a suspended Mass. driver’s license and an active arrest warrant. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension and the warrant.

Occurred 10:28 PM (12/13) – Boylston St.

While conducting traffic enforcement, officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended. He was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and speeding.

Occurred 2:14 AM (12/14) – Boylston St. / Hammond Pond Pkwy.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a speeding violation. Upon doing so, officers ran a query of the driver’s information which revealed a suspended license status. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension.

Larceny

Occurred between 1:00 PM (11/30) 9:25 AM (12/13) – Pleasant St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated that a package she was expecting had been stolen from the front foyer of her building. The package taken is a set of bamboo window blinds. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:30 PM and 7:10 PM (12/13) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local gym. The victim stated that while he was working out, he left his personal belongings in an unlocked locker. When he returned, he discovered cash from inside his wallet missing. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and are following up on the case.

Dec. 10th – Dec. 12th

Arrest

Occurred 11:54 AM (12/10) – Harvard St. / Pierce St.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a red light violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a vehicle had been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension and the driving violation.

Occurred 2:41 AM (12/12) – Commonwealth Ave.

While on patrol, officers observed a known subject acting suspiciously near several apartment basement windows. Police initiated a field investigation and found burglarious tools in the subject’s possession and discovered two windows that he had been standing near with freshly cut screens. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for attempted breaking and entering, possession of burglarious tools, and disorderly conduct.

Occurred 6:49 AM (12/12) – Newton St.

While off duty, an officer observed a female operator lose control of her vehicle and crash into a tree. The off duty officer immediately began first aid to the driver. Paramedics were notified and while awaiting their arrival, the operator opened her trunk. At this time, the officer viewed a handgun in the trunk in plain view. Once paramedics cleared her for injuries, she was placed under arrest. The operator is being charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Occurred 10:26 PM (12/12) – Naples Rd.

While on duty, a detective observed what he believed to be a drug transaction between two parties in a vehicle and executed a motor vehicle stop. Upon doing so, officers detected an odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed the operator to have bloodshot, glassy eyes. Officers subsequently discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and evidence of drug distribution. He was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of drugs and possession of Class D with the intent to distribute.

Robbery

Occurred between 2:20 AM and 1:40 PM (12/12) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of a past robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was walking home the previous night a male exited a dark colored sedan, ran towards her and snatched her purse. The victim’s purse contained her driver’s license, school ID, and bank card. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 4:55 PM and 6:00 PM (12/09) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a building. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that a package she was expecting containing clothes had been stolen from the front stoop of her residence. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:58 AM and 3:30 AM (12/12) – Washington St. / Beacon St.

While on patrol, officers observed a subject running down the street with a strand of Christmas lights and drop them as soon as he saw officers. Police were able to stop the subject who stated that he took the lights from the front of a building nearby. Police filed a report and are charging the subject with larceny.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 12:36 AM (12/11) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated party attempting to gain access into a local residence by damaging the front door. Upon arrival, officers observed the front door to be shattered and spoke with the subject. The subject stated that he could not find his apartment keys and was only trying to get into his apartment. Police filed a report and are summonsing the subject into Brookline District Court for Malicious Damage of Property.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 5:30 PM (12/10) and 8:27 AM (12/11) – Chestnut Hill Ave.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his vehicle during the morning hours, he discovered his passenger side window smashed and his jack hammer missing. Police were provided with several leads and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:30 PM (12/09) and 8:30 AM (12/10) – Chestnut Hill Ave.

While responding to another call, officers were approached by a subject who wanted to report malicious damage to his vehicle. The victim stated that when he attempted to start his vehicle, the engine began to smoke at which time he checked the hood and discovered two fan belts inside the engine had been cut. He informed police that he had left the vehicle parked overnight the previous night at a residence he was doing work on. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:22 PM and 3:39 PM (12/11) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while he was shopping, he left his vehicle parked in the store’s parking lot. When he returned, he discovered one of his car windows broken and his IPod and GPS missing. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and are following up on the case.

December 9th

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 6:45 PM (12/07) and 3:00 PM (12/08) – South St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone entered her motor vehicle and stole her Gold bracelet and Nikon digital camera. A report was filed.

Larceny

Occurred between 10:45 AM and 2:00 PM (12/08) – Kent St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local building. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that a large sum of cash had been stolen from her apartment. She informed police that prior to the money missing, she believes someone from the building’s management company had entered her apartment to fix her bathtub. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:26 PM (12/06) and 12:00 PM (12/08) – Aspinwall Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local residence. Officers met with the victim who stated that upon retrieving his mail, he discovered a greeting card addressed to him had already been opened. The card contained 5 gift cards which were missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 7:07 PM (12/09) – Parkman St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny of a license plate. The victim stated that when he returned to his vehicle during the morning, he discovered his front license plate missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM (12/09) – Tappan St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while he was attending track practice, he left his personal belongings in a locker in the gym’s locker room. When he returned, he discovered his locker opened and belongings missing. Police are following up on the case.

December 8th

Arrest

Occurred between 2:47 AM and 3:17 AM (12/08) – Hammond St. / Heath St.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for multiple driving violations. Upon approaching the driver, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol beverage emanating from the vehicle and observed the operator to have glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Based on officer’s observations and the operator’s intoxicated appearance, he was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred 7:54 AM (12/08) – Walnut St.

While on patrol, police came upon a vehicle leaking gasoline on the side of the road. Upon arrival, officers informed the operator that the vehicle should not be driven and requested to see his driver’s license. The operator informed police that he did not have a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle and he was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed and having faulty equipment.

Occurred between 9:20 PM and 10:00 PM (12/08) – Boylston St.

While conducting speed enforcement, police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle had been revoked. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for operating after revocation and speeding.

Occurred 11:00 PM (12/08) – Beacon St.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a driving violation. Upon doing so, officers discovered that one of the occupants of the vehicle had an active arrest warrant. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for the warrant and cited the driver for failing to stop for a red signal light.

Larceny

Occurred between 4:00 PM (12/03) and 6:20 PM (12/08) – Fuller St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that a package that had been delivered to her, containing personal checks and gift cards had been stolen from the front lobby of her building. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Dec. 7th

Arrest

Occurred between 8:58 AM and 9:25 AM (12/07) – Boylston St. / Fisher Ave.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for operating after suspension.

Larceny

Occurred between 11:57AM and 7:00 PM (12/06) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she arrived home, she discovered a package that had been delivered to her was missing. She contacted the mail carrier who confirmed the package had been delivered to her residence. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Dec. 6th

Arrest

Occurred 4:25 PM (12/06) – Longwood Ave. / Sewall Ave.

While directing traffic, a motor vehicle failed to stop for police and officers subsequently executed a motor vehicle stop. Upon doing so, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed the driver to have glassy, bloodshot eyes. As a result of the stop, officers determined the operator to be intoxicated and placed her under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol and for failing to stop for a police officer.

Larceny

Occurred between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM (12/06) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime while she was attending a workout class, her wallet was stolen from her gym bag. The wallet contained the victim’s work ID, credit cards, gift cards, and cash. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00 PM (6/24) and 6:00 PM (10/14) – Park St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims who stated that a large amount of their personal belongings had been stolen from their basement sometime during the last couple months. They informed police that three of the apartments in their building were being renovated so numerous contractors had access to the basement. Police are following up on the case.

Dec. 3rd – Dec. 5th

Arrest

Occurred 4:07 PM (12/03) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male subject exiting the local library. After a brief search, officers located the subject and observed him to be intoxicated. Upon identifying the subject, officers discovered that he had an active arrest warrant and subsequently placed him under arrest.

Occurred 10:01 PM (12/03) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle operator that had just collided with a parked automobile. Upon arrival, officers checked on the well being of the operator and observed him to be unsteady on his feet and to have slurred speech. Based on officers’ observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance, he was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred between 10:50 PM and 11:45 PM (12/05) – Boylston St.

Police executed a traffic stop for multiple driving violations. Upon approaching the driver, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed the operator to be very disoriented. As a result of the motor vehicle stop, police determined the driver to be intoxicated and subsequently placed him under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Larceny

Occurred 3:09 PM (12/04) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his laptop computer had been stolen from the front foyer of his residence building. He informed police that he left the laptop there to be picked up by a mail carrier for delivery to get it repaired. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:00 PM (12/03) and 1:00 AM (12/04) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while he was at a local restaurant, his coat was stolen from a table sometime while he left it unattended. He informed police that he did not notice anyone suspicious near the table. A report was filed.

Occurred between 2:00 PM and 2:10 PM (12/04) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was at the gym, her Apple iPhone was stolen from one of the workout machines. She informed police that there were three other people working out in the room during the time her cell phone was taken. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:30 PM (12/04) and 10:15 AM (12/05) – Holly Lane

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that sometime while his vehicle was parked in his garage, all four of his vehicle’s wheels and tires were stolen. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 9:45 PM (12/05) – Park St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that when she returned home, she discovered several parts missing from her scooter. Items reported missing include a scooter battery, two rearview mirrors, and a front covering plate. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 5:00 PM (12/04) and 10:40 AM (12/05) – Holly Lane

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime while her car was parked in her garage, an unknown suspect stole all four of her vehicles wheels and tires and her Garmin GPS. She informed police that a similar incident occurred a month prior. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Dec. 1st – Dec. 2nd

Arrest

Occurred 4:44 AM (12/01) – Beacon St. / St. Paul St.

While on patrol, police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon approaching the driver, officers became suspicious of the contents of the vehicle and initiated an inspection of the vehicle. As a result of the motor vehicle stop police found the driver to be in possession of a switch blade, a stun gun, and fireworks and placed the subject under arrest. He was further charged with unauthorized possession of a firefighter badge, speeding, and unauthorized mounting of flashing lights to a motor vehicle.

Occurred between 8:57 AM and 9:20 AM (12/02) – Harvard St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license to operate in Mass. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating without a license.

Occurred 6:11 PM (12/02) – Washington St. / Pond Ave.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a stop sign violation. Upon doing so, officers discovered that two occupants of the vehicle had active arrests warrants. Police subsequently placed them under arrest for the warrants.

Robbery

Occurred 7:22 PM (12/01) – Freeman St. / Pleasant St.

Police responded to a report of a street robbery. The victim stated that while she was walking, an unknown suspect came up from behind her, grabbed her bag containing her laptop and school papers and fled. The suspect is described as a 6’ft tall male with a lean build last seen wearing a black winter hat, black jacket, dark skinny legged jeans and dark sneakers. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 7:30 PM (12/02) – Commonwealth Ave. / Fuller St.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery. Officers met with the victim who stated that while she was walking her purse containing her personal belongings was snatched by a white male. The victim described the suspect as a 5’8 ft tall male with a medium build, in his early twenties last seen wearing a light colored jacket and a gray hooded sweatshirt. After an extensive search, police were unable to locate the suspect but are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 4:30 PM (11/30) and 9:00 AM (12/01) – Dudley St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his parked car, he discovered the console open and loose change missing. The car had been left unlocked in the victim’s driveway. A report was filed.

Occurred between 12:00 PM (11/30) and 7:00 AM (12/01) – Reservoir Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Police responded to a report of a burglary from a local residence. The victim stated that sometime during the afternoon, a package that he was sending out through the mail was stolen from his front foyer. The package contained a Dell laptop. Police are following up on the case.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers’ discovered that she did not have a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Occurred 10:31 PM (11/29) – Boylston St.

While conducting traffic enforcement, officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a motor vehicle stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a Mass. driver’s license and subsequently placed him under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Occurred between 12:48 AM and 1:21 AM (11/30) – Boylston St. / Chestnut Hill Ave.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon doing so, officers ran a query of the driver’s information and discovered that he had active arrest warrant. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for the warrant.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local college. Upon arrival, officers met with security who reported that a professor reported a projector missing from one of the classrooms. A report was filed.

Arrest

Occurred 7:56 AM (11/28) – Beacon St.

Police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that she was operating with a suspended Mass. driver’s license. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and speeding.

Occurred 8:30 PM (11/28) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a local store for a report of an attempted shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store manager who stated that she observed a female subject put items into her bag and attempt to exit the store without paying. Police subsequently located the suspect, recovered the stolen items and placed her under arrest for shoplifting.

Larceny

Occurred 11:00 PM (11/24) – Francis St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local residence. The victim stated that the previous night she went into her bedroom closet and discovered two of her safe boxes unlocked and a large amount of jewelry missing. She informed police that she is the only one with a key to the boxes and was still in possession of it. Police are following up on several leads.

Occurred between 3:30 PM and 11:00 PM (11/26) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local building. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that a delivered package containing two ski jackets had been stolen from the front entrance hall of her building. Officers subsequently conducted an investigation and were able to retrieve the victim’s stolen possessions.

Occurred between 12:00 PM (4/04) and 2:31 PM (11/27) – Garrison Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local residence. Officers met with the victim who stated that approximately 20-25ft of copper gutter had been stolen from the roof of her house. A report was filed.

Occurred 8:37 PM (11/27) – Cypress St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local liquor store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees who stated that a male subject came into the store, grabbed a bottle of alcohol and fled without paying. Store employees followed the suspect and retrieved the stolen item. After a brief investigation, police were able to determine all the subjects involved and are summonsing the subjects into Brookline District Court for Shoplifting.

Occurred 11:54 PM (11/27) – Kent St.

Police responded to a report of an activated commercial alarm from a local club Upon arrival, officers conducted an interior security sweep and observed an opened door, several items scattered across the floor, and the cash register pulled off the wall. Based on police findings, police believe the suspect may have been at the bar earlier in the night and may be a member of the club. No items are reported missing at this time, but police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:00 PM (11/14) and 10:30 AM (11/21) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a past bicycle theft. Officers met with the victim who stated that when she went to retrieve her son’s bike from the basement of her building, she discovered it missing. She informed police that only residents, the management company and a cleaning company have access to this part of the building. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 1:20 AM and 2:50 AM (11/27) – Perry St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that while he was visiting a friend at his home, he left his vehicle unlocked for approximately an hour and a half. When he returned, he discovered a pair of computer speakers, a sub woofer, IPod Touch, and cash missing from the vehicle. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM (11/28) – Brookline Ave. / Aspinwall Ave.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his parked car, he discovered his front passenger side window smashed and several items missing including a Garmin GPS, digital camera, and North Face backpack.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that sometime while her vehicle was parked in her assigned spot, someone entered her car and stole her GPS.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she returned to her parked vehicle, she discovered her front passenger side window smashed and her bag containing personal items missing. Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering from a local residence building. The victim stated that when he returned home with his wife after a week away, they discovered their apartment had been broken into and multiple items had been stolen including electronics, jewelry, and clothing. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:30 PM (11/26) and 1:00 PM (11/28) – Carlton St.

Police responded to report of a breaking and entering from a local home. The victim stated that when he returned home, he was contacted by his landscaper about a rear basement window left open while he was away. Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local building. Officers met with the victim who stated that when she went into work she discovered her laptop computer missing from her office desk. Police found no signs of forced entry into the building and are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local business. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was working, she left her purse and belongings in the employee restroom. When she checked on her belongings later on in the day, she discovered several items missing from her purse. Employees informed police that they did allow a customer to use the restroom during this time. Police are following up on the case.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. A query of the driver’s information revealed a revoked license status and an active arrest warrant. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for the warrant, operating after revocation, and for operating an unregistered vehicle.

Occurred 1:31 PM (11/18) – Washington St. / Griggs Rd.

While on patrol, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle in traffic and executed a motor vehicle stop. Upon their investigation, officers discovered that the driver had been smoking marijuana and subsequently placed him under arrest for operating under the influence of drugs. The driver was additionally charged with operating without a license and possession of class A with the Intent to Distribute.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 7:00 PM (11/17) and 7:00 AM (11/18) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a local business. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party who stated that when he arrived at the store during the morning, he discovered damage to one of the store’s front windows. Police inspected the damaged window and are following up on the case.

Occurred 1:30 PM (11/18) – Chestnut St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a local residence. The reporting party stated that while she was home, she heard her daughter scream while she was in her bedroom. Upon entering the room, she observed her daughter’s window shattered into pieces. Police believe a rock was thrown through the window and are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Officers met with the victim who stated that someone had stole one of her checks and cashed it. The victim informed police that she did not know who may have done this and she did not give anyone authorization to cash the check. Police are following up on the case.

Police observed a motor vehicle with defective headlights and executed a traffic stop. As a result of the motor vehicle stop, officers discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and placed the driver under arrest for possession of class D with intent to distribute, school zone violation, and for operating with defective equipment.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that she was operating with an expired Mass. driver’s license. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 10:00 PM (11/15) and 8:53 AM (11/16) – Dudley St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his parked vehicle during the morning hours, he discovered his front passenger side window smashed and his wallet and briefcase missing. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 PM (11/15) and 7:15 AM (11/16) – Clyde St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his front passenger side window had been smashed and his vehicle had been entered. After a brief investigation, police were able to recover most of the victim’s stolen items except for cash and a pair of sunglasses. A report was filed.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM (11/13) – Dwight St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Officers met with the victim who stated that when he went to move his vehicle from the street to his private parking spot, he discovered damage to his vehicle’s roof. Officers observed a scratch on the roof in the design of a rectangle with an X in the center. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 5:00 PM and 5:10 PM (11/16) – Gibbs St.

Police responded to a report of an attempted burglary from a local residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while he was watching a movie in, an unknown male opened the front window and leaned his upper body into the window. At this time, the victim confronted him and the suspect fled. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 3:09 AM and 3:11 AM (11/17) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of an activated alarm at a local business. Upon arrival, officers discovered a glass window removed and a broken door handle and contacted the owner of the business. The owner informed police that there was video surveillance footage which captured a black male, approximately 25-30 years of age, 5’10”, 160 lbs, with a face-shaved head break into the store and steal about 20 packs of cigarettes. Police are processing evidence and following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00 AM (11/08) and 6:00 PM (11/12) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local business. The victim stated that a large portion of copper plating had been stolen from his building’s rooftop. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred 1:37 PM (11/17) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a local store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees who stated that a customer had come into the store with a complaint about a previous cell phone case purchase. Employees attempted to settle the matter, but the male subject was unsatisfied with the results and stole a cell phone case from the store. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:30 PM and 7:35 PM (11/15) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a two car motor vehicle accident. Upon investigating the accident, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from one of the driver’s and observed her to be unsteady on her feet. Based on officers’ observations, the driver was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor.

Larceny


Occurred between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM (11/14) – Tappan St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while he was at the local swimming pool, several items were stolen from his wallet which he had left inside a locker. Items reported missing from the wallet include a driver’s license, cash, and three credit cards. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:30 PM (11/13) and 10:00 AM (11/14) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a theft of a laptop. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime within the last two days, his Apple laptop computer was stolen from his apartment. Officers inspected the apartment and found no signs of a forced entry. No other items have been reported missing at this time. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:00 PM (11/12) and 2:00 PM (11/14) – Babcock St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny from a building. Officers met with the victim who stated that when he returned home after a weekend away, he discovered his three wheeled baby stroller missing from the front porch. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that the door knob to her foyer door had been damaged. Police filed a report.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the reporting party who stated that someone had damaged one of the decorative Outdoor Lantern Posts belonging to the condominiums. Officers observed the damage and are following up on the case.

Nov. 12th – Nov. 14th

Arrest

Occurred 9:14 AM (11/12) – Harvard St.

While on patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle make an illegal U-turn and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that her right to operate in Mass. had been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension and the U-turn violation.

Occurred between 3:15 PM and 3:35 PM (11/13) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a theft from a local store. Officers met with the reporting party who stated that a customer had accidentally left an envelope at the rear counter at the pharmacy section. Upon realizing this, an employee contacted the owner of the envelope who returned to the store and reported two season ticket pamphlets missing from the envelope. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and observed a black female approach the counter, go through the envelope, and take the pamphlets. The female suspect was subsequently located by police and placed under arrest for larceny.

Occurred 7:23 PM (11/13) – Beacon St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. A query of the driver’s information revealed an expired license status. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for being not duly licensed and for failing to stop for a red light.

Occurred 11:15 PM (11/13) – Davis Ave. / Dana St.

While patrolling, police observed a motor vehicle operating with an expired registration and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a vehicle had been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Occurred 3:15 AM (11/14) – Chestnut Hill Ave.

While on patrol, police observed a motor vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon approaching the driver, officers detected an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed the driver to have glassy eyes. Based on the officer’s observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance and not being duly licensed, the driver was placed under arrest.

Occurred 9:04 AM (11/14) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a homeless man sleeping on private property. Upon arrival, officers recognized the subject as someone that had been previously given a verbal no trespass order by the owner of the property. Police subsequently placed the man under arrest for trespassing.

Occurred 12:26 PM (11/14) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter in a local store. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party who stated that she had observed a customer place lip gloss into his pocket. Officers located the suspect and after a brief investigation were able to determine that he stole several items from the store. Police subsequently placed the suspect under arrest for shoplifting.

Police responded to a report of a theft of motor vehicle parts. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his four factory aluminum rims and tires were stolen off of his Honda. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred 5:42 PM (11/12) – Babcock St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local building. Officers met with the reporting party who stated that when he was done working in the building, he locked the storage area door prior to leaving. When he returned later in the day, he discovered the storage area door as well as an inside door open and a snow blower, weed whacker and lawn mower missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 AM and 11:15 AM (11/12) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny from a local business. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that when he came into work, he discovered an envelope containing cash from the previous day’s sales missing from his office. Police reviewed video surveillance which revealed a male suspect entering the office, opening the envelope, and placing something into his pocket. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00 PM and 1:37 PM (11/12) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local store. The reporting party stated that while she was working, a cell phone was stolen from a display shelf. She informed police that a male suspect had been briefly in the area of the cell phone prior to it missing. A review of surveillance footage showed a white male pick up the phone, remove the front face of the phone, place it into his pocket and exit the store. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM (11/08) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she discovered her wallet missing from her possession when she was notified by her credit card company about unusual charges made to her credit cards. She informed police that she last saw her wallet while she was at a local grocery store. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that sometime last night, an unknown suspect damaged his vehicle by bending the windshield wipers upwards. He informed police that this has happened several times before and that the vehicle had been parked in his assigned parking spot. Police are following up on the case.

Police have identified a woman who has been attempting to enter homes in the Warren St. /Heath St. area by false pretenses. She is a heavy set Black female, approximately 5’5” with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She is operating a blue Honda sedan and claims she is working for the Town of Brookline. Anyone who sees a woman at their doorstep fitting this description is asked to contact police immediately. The suspect has been identified and police are following up on the case.

Arrest

Occurred between 11:05 PM (11/10) and 12:20 AM (11/11) – Boylston St. / Chestnut Hill Ave.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest. Police subsequently placed the subject under arrest for the warrant.

Occurred 2:59 AM (11/11) – Centre St. Lot West

While on patrol, police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and in the wrong direction and executed a traffic stop. Upon approaching the driver, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed the driver to have glassy, bloodshot eyes. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance, police placed him under arrest for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor and further charged him with speeding, one way violation, and marked lanes violation.

Police observed a motor vehicle operating with an expired inspection sticker and executed a traffic stop. A query of the driver’s information revealed a suspended license status. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension.

While monitoring traffic, officers observed a motor vehicle make an illegal u-turn and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his Mass. driver’s license had expired. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Occurred between 4:25 PM and 4:44 PM (11/10) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny from a local store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store manager who stated that a laptop computer had been stolen from the store. He informed police that one suspect had been seen in the area from which the laptop was taken for a few minutes. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 12:01 AM and 12:32 AM (11/11) – Verndale St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that while he was driving, he encountered three male subjects standing in the middle of the street and beeped his horn at them to move them out the way. Upon doing so, one of the males grabbed a tree branch and began swinging at the victim’s car. Police conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspects. A report was filed and police are following up on the case.

Officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime while her car was parked in her garage, an unknown suspect smashed her driver’s side window and stole her GPS. Police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime while her black Honda sedan was parked in her assigned parking spot, an unknown suspect stole her vehicle. She informed police that no one else had access or authorization to use her vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Police responded to a report of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party who stated that a week prior she discovered graffiti had been placed on the rear of her home. Police observed the graffiti on the rear of her building and are following up on the case.

Arrest

Occurred 9:09 AM (11/08) – Beacon St.

Police executed a motor vehicle stop for an expired inspection sticker. Upon doing so, a query of the driver’s information was conducted which revealed a suspended license status. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred between 2:15 AM and 2:41 AM (11/09) – Boylston St. / Tully St.

While conducting traffic enforcement, officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. A query of the driver’s information revealed a revoked license status. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation and speeding.

Occurred 12:25 PM (11/08) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a possible shoplifting in progress from a local store. Officers arrived on scene and after a brief search of the area located the suspect. Upon doing so, officers discovered that the suspect attempted to steal a bottle of wine, but did not exit the store with it. Officers ran a query of the suspect’s information which revealed three active arrest warrants. The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest for the warrants and advised not to trespass in the store in the future.

Burglary

Occurred 2:55 PM (11/07) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local pizza shop. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that money was missing from his shop’s safe. He informed police that he is concerned that an employee is responsible for the theft. Police are requesting a warrant for the subjects arrest and continue to follow up on the case.

Occurred between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM (11/09) – Crafts Rd.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering. The reporting party stated that when she arrived home she discovered her garage door closed and the entrance door into her house had been forced open. Upon inspecting her home, she noticed several pieces of jewelry, a laptop computer, video game console, digital camera, and power cord missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:05 PM and 3:45 PM (11/09) – Chestnut Hill Ave.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated that when he returned home, he discovered glass on the floor in the bathroom and the window unlocked. No items have been reported missing at this time and police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM (11/08) – Brookline Pl.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was at work, an unknown suspect stole her pocketbook which contained her wallet with her credit cards, driver’s license, and student ID. She informed police that three fraudulent charges had already been made using her credit card. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 4:00 PM and 8:40 PM (11/08) – Brookline Ave.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that when she returned to her vehicle after work, she discovered her front passenger side window smashed. She reported her Magellan GPS and Apple IPod missing from the vehicle. A report was filed.

Forgery

Occurred 10:18 PM (11/08) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of two females attempting to use a false traveler’s check at a local store. The reporting party stated that while he was helping a new employee at the cash register, two women brought a few items up to the register and attempted to pay for them with an American Express Traveler’s Check. He immediately became suspicious of the check and contacted police, but the suspects fled prior to officers’ arrival. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and following up on the case.

Arrest

Occurred 3:53 AM (11/06) – Egmont St.

Police responded to a report of a male subject trespassing on Brookline Housing property. Upon arrival, officers located the subject and spoke with the reporting party. The reporting party stated that his brother had a No-Trespass Order from the Brookline Housing Authority and that he had come to his home uninvited. Police subsequently placed the subject under arrest for trespassing.

Occurred 8:02 AM (11/06) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past shoplifting from a local store. Officers met with the reporting party who stated that while she was working, she observed a white male place several items into a red bag and flee the store without paying for the items. After a brief search of the area, officers located the suspect and found 16 beverages, two containers of baby formula, two bottles of Advil and one red Hallmark bag on his person. The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting. He was additionally charged with possession of Class E.

Occurred between 3:54 AM and 4:19 AM (11/06) – Fisher Ave.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated female possibly responsible for pulling fire alarms at a local college. Upon arrival, security informed officers that two fire alarm boxes had been pulled and shortly afterward a group of students requested for help to remove an intoxicated female subject from their dorm. After a brief investigation, officers determined that the female was responsible for setting off the fire alarms and attempted to remove her from the building. During this time, she was uncooperative, belligerent, and resistant towards officers and was placed under arrest for simple assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, false fire alarm, and disorderly conduct.

Occurred 7:25 PM (11/07) – Boylston St.

Police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension and speeding.

Burglary

Occurred between 11:00 PM (11/05) and 9:00 AM (11/06) – Berkeley Ct.

Police responded to a report of an attempted breaking and entering from a local residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that while he was working on his home, he discovered one of his window screens was bent out of shape from the bottom. Police inspected the home and found that no entry was gained and no items were taken. A report was filed.

Robbery

Occurred between 8:59 PM and 9:25 PM (11/07) – Brookline Pl.

Police responded to a report of a robbery that had just taken place. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while he was working, he delivered two pizzas to a local residence. Upon doing so, the caller along with another male took the pizzas from the victim without paying. The victim described the suspects as white males in their early 20’s, one about 5’8” and 150 lbs and the other around 6’1” and 210 lbs. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Graffiti

Occurred between 3:00 PM (11/05) and 2:15 PM (11/06) – White Pl.

Police responded to a report of a graffiti complaint. Officers met with the reporting party who stated that the word “kix” had been spray painted in silver paint on his building and his neighbors building sometime during the past two days. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 2:00 PM (11/05) and 2:00 PM (11/06) – White Pl.

While responding to a graffiti complaint, officers observed two graffiti tags on a building and a wooden fence. Both locations were tagged with the word “SNOT” in red neon paint. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:30 PM (11/05) and 4:56 PM (11/06) – Stanton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that sometime during the night her recycle bin was tagged with graffiti. There were numerous similar incidents of graffiti that occurred during this night and police are following up on the case

Occurred 1:29 AM (11/07) – Greenough St.

While conducting a building check of the town’s high school, officers observed graffiti on a building nearby. The graffiti consisted of two separate face caricatures written in black marker. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 9:30 PM (11/05) and 6:30 AM (11/06) – Franklin St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when she went to use her vehicle in the morning, she discovered her roof, center console, and glove compartment opened. A Tom Tom GPS was reported missing from the vehicle. A report was filed.

Larceny

Occurred between 7:00 PM (11/06) and 1:00 AM (11/07) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that a flag was stolen from the front porch of his residence. The flag is described as a 4' by 6', Tibetan Flag, with red, blue and white colors. Police are following up on the case.

Police executed a traffic stop for an expired inspection sticker and revoked registration status. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that she was operating with a suspended Mass. driver’s license. Police subsequently placed her under arrest for operating after suspension.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 5:00 PM (11/03) and 9:00 AM (11/04) – Hammond St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a school bus. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that sometime between the above hours, an unknown suspect stole the mirrors off the school bus, the outside automatic stop sign, and a First Aid kit containing a spare key from inside the bus. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM (11/05) – Bellingham Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that while his unlocked vehicle was parked next to a local residence, an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and stole a large amount of cash from his wallet.The wallet was in the center console and was found in a gutter next to his vehicle. A report was filed.

Burglary

Occurred between 8:15 AM and 7:09 PM (11/04) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering from a local residence. The victim stated that when she returned home, she discovered someone had entered her apartment and stole her laptop computer and her roommate’s laptop and digital camera from their bedrooms. Police believe the suspect gained entry through a rear window and are following up on the case.

Arrest

Occurred 8:03 AM (11/02) – Horace James Cr.

Police responded to a report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival, officers observed one of the driver’s unsteady on her feet and became concerned that she was under the influence of a substance. Based on officers’ observations and investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of drugs.

Occurred 10:16 AM (11/02) – Beacon St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for being not duly licensed and also charged the owner of the vehicle for permitting unlicensed operation.

Occurred between 2:02 PM and 2:40 PM (11/02) – Beacon St.

While on patrol, police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. A query of the driver’s information revealed an expired license status since 2005. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating without a license and speeding.

Occurred 4:57 PM (11/02) – Harvard St.

While directing traffic, officers observed a male subject bang on the window of a local sub shop and give an employee the middle finger. Officers identified the subject and sent him on his way. Store employees informed officers that the subject had been in the store earlier and was told to leave due to his behavior. A short time later,, officers were called by a store employee who stated the subject returned to the store and was now yelling at an employee. While attempting to investigate the situation, the subject began acting disorderly and he was placed under arrest.

Occurred 7:11 PM (11/02) – Commonwealth Ave.

While patrolling, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for a suspended vehicle registration. Upon identifying the driver, officers further discovered that her right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had also been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred 8:29 AM (11/03) – Washington St. / Gardner Rd.

Police responded to a report of a man exposing himself in public. The caller stated that while she was driving, she observed a black male standing by a fence with his pants un zippered and his hand in his crotch area. After a brief search, police located the suspect and placed him under arrest for indecent exposure.

Armed Robbery

Occurred 12:24 AM (11/03) – Longwood Ave. / Kent St.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery where the two possible suspects were in possession of a knife. The victims relayed to officers that while they were walking home from work, they were approached and threatened by two individuals with knives. Suspect #1 is described as a black male in his mid-late 20’s, approximately 5’10”-5’11”, around 250 lbs., last seen wearing blue jeans and a white collared shirt. Suspect #2 is described as a black around 6’0”, last seen wearing a long black jacket with a hood over his head. Police were able to recover some of the victim’s personal belongings and are following up on the case.

Burglary


Occurred between 4:00 PM (10/30) and 8:00 AM (11/01) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a breaking and entering and larceny from a local store. Officers met with the store manager who stated that when he arrived at work, he noticed the store’s front door was not locked properly and the alarm was not functioning correctly. An inventory of the store’s medication was conducted which revealed several bottles of prescription drugs missing. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 8:00 AM (10/25) and 4:37 PM (11/01) – Bowker St.

Police responded to a report of a stolen license plate. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that her husband’s front license plate had been stolen from his vehicle. The reporting party last saw the license plate a week prior and believes it could have been taken sometime while it was parked in her driveway or in a local parking lot. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00 PM (10/25) and 12:00 PM (10/31) – W Rox Pkwy

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated he was notified by a bank representative that someone was attempting to cash a business check belonging to his company. After being contacted, the victim discovered three checks missing from his check book and a large amount of money taken from his account. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:45 PM (10/29) and 7:40 AM (11/01) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local school. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, a teacher, who stated that sometime while she left her classroom, a laptop computer was stolen. The laptop is described as a white 13 inch Apple Macbook with a flower sticker on the top portion. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 2:35 PM (11/01) – Davis Ave.

Police responded to a report of a stolen license plate. The victim stated that sometime while his vehicle was parked in his driveway, an unknown suspect stole his license plate. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:00 PM (11/01) and 7:45 AM (11/02) – Naples Rd.

Police responded to a report of a bicycle theft. The reporting party stated that when she woke up, she discovered her son’s orange Specialized bike missing from her front porch. She informed police that the bike had been secured by a chain lock. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 7:30 AM and 12:00 PM (11/02) – Davis Ave.

Police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during the morning her bike was stolen from her unlocked porch. The bike is described as a grey Trek Touring bicycle with a rear clip rack and yellow reflectors. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:15 AM (11/02) and 12:50 PM (11/03) – Holly LA

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime while her car was parked in her garage, an unknown suspect stole all four of her Honda wheels from her vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 2:37 PM (9/12) and 2:37 PM (10/29) – High St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that several incidents have occurred recently in which lamps from her driveway have been damaged, a light in the front of her home has been broken repeatedly, and her husband’s vehicle tires has been damaged with nails. She informed police that she does not know of anyone who would do this to her property. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during the night, his vehicle was broken into. The driver side rear passenger window was broken and an IPod and designer sunglasses were taken. Police are following up on the case.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. Police subsequently placed him under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Occurred 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM (10/26) – Juniper St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he returned home, he discovered that a package that was delivered to him had been stolen from the foyer of his building. The package contained IPod headphones. Police are following up on the case.

Robbery

Occurred 9:42 PM (10/28) – Brook St. / Kent St.

Police responded to a report of a robbery. The victim stated that as she was walking home, a dark colored SUV cut in front of her, causing her to stop. A male suspect then opened the front passenger side door, threatened her with a gun, and stole her bag. After an extensive search of the area officers were unable to locate the suspects, however began their investigation. Detectives are following up several leads, and will conduct a follow up investigation.

Police responded to a report of fraudulent use of a debit card. Officers met with the victim who stated that upon speaking with his bank, he discovered his debit card had been used without his authorization. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM (10/26) – Village Way

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. The victim stated she was notified by her bank that someone in California had made an online purchase using her debit card number. Police are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 5:00 PM (10/22) and 5:55 PM (10/26) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious white male in a local restaurant. A store employee stated that several days prior the same suspect was seen in the kitchen area of the restaurant. After he left that day, an employee discovered a large amount of his personal cash was missing from the store’s office. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Oct. 22nd – Oct. 25th

Arrest

Occurred 7:55 AM (10/22) – Harvard St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license to operate in Mass. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Occurred between 5:25 PM and 6:30 PM (10/22) – Brington Rd. / Boylston St.

While monitoring traffic, police observed a motor vehicle travel through a red traffic light and executed a traffic stop. A query of the driver’s information was conducted which revealed a suspended Mass. driver’s license. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension and for failing to stop for a red light.

Occurred 6:38 PM (10/22) – Washington St. / Salisbury Rd.

Police observed a motor vehicle travel through a red signal light and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his Mass. driver’s license had been revoked. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation, attaching plates, and failing to stop for a red light.

Occurred 8:32 PM (10/22) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject slouched behind his steering wheel with an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and further charged with having an open container in his vehicle and being not duly licensed.

Occurred 10:56 PM (10/23) – Beacon St. / Summit Ave.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed the driver behaving in a manner consistent with someone under the influence of drugs. Officers subsequently ran a query of the driver’s information and discovered that his driver’s license had been revoked. Police later found several syringes and bottles of pills in the vehicle. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation and operating under the influence of drugs. He was further charged with providing a false name/address to officers, forging an inspection sticker, and making an illegal left hand turn.

Occurred 3:54 AM (10/24) – Boylston St.

While on patrol, police observed a male subject behaving suspiciously and conducted a field investigation. Upon doing so, officers discovered a pair of wire cutters on the suspect and observed bikes with fresh slashes to their locks from the area the suspect had been seen coming from. Police subsequently placed the suspect under arrest for attempting to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit a crime and malicious damage to property. Officers also located two other suspects who had fled prior to the investigation and placed them under arrest for the above offenses as well.

Occurred 11:23 AM (10/25) – Clark Rd.

Police responded to a report of a couple acting suspiciously around houses in the area. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the caller who described the pair as a white male with a shaved head and tall white female with spiked hair and glasses. Officers located the suspects and conducted a field investigation in which numerous burglarious tools were found in the suspects’ possession. Also a nearby house had a cut out window screen. The suspects were subsequently placed under arrest for breaking and entering and possession of burglarious tools.

Larceny

Occurred between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM (10/17) – Winthrop Rd.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that sometime while he was briefly in the basement of his building, his laptop computer was stolen from his bedroom. He informed police that his roommate along with two other males were in the apartment during this time. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 PM (10/21) and 8:00 AM (10/22) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he woke up; he discovered his wallet missing from his bedroom desk. He informed officers that the only other person that had been in his room or had access to his wallet was his neighbor. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:00 AM and 11:45 AM (10/23) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past shoplifting from a local store. Officers met with the reporting party, the store manager who stated that sometime while the store was very busy, a female suspect came into the store and stole several pairs of glasses. The suspect is described as a white female in her forties; approximately 5’3”with a heavy set build, and an arm in a sling. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM (10/24) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny from a local yoga center. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that while he was at work, an unknown suspect stole his 18” Sony laptop computer from the front desk. Police believe the suspect gained entry through the front door. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 AM (10/21) and 5:57 PM (10/25) – Euston St.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. Officers met with the victim who stated that while she was at work, a package she was expecting was delivered to her home. When she arrived home, she discovered the package missing. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (10/21) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. The victim stated that she was notified by her bank that someone had used her credit card twice at a store in California. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 10:00 AM (10/22) and 6:30 PM (10/24) – Cottage St.

Police responded to a report of a past burglary. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that she believed someone had entered her home through an open kitchen window between the above dates. Items reported missing include loose change and a spare house key. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Occurred between 5:55 PM and 8:34 PM (10/22) – Park St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary from a local residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she arrived home, she discovered her apartment had been entered. Items reported missing include her jewelry, pocketbooks, and loose change missing. Police believe the suspect gained entry though the rear bedroom window and will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Occurred between 11:15 AM and 2:45 PM (10/23) – Prescott St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary from a local residence. The reporting party stated that when he went to the first floor of his home, he discovered a glass jar which contained loose change upside down on the kitchen countertop and empty. At this time, he contacted his roommates to inform them and when they arrived home they further reported a laptop computer, IPod, computer accessories, mountain bike, and loose change missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 12:01 AM (10/25) – Hawthorn Rd.

Police responded to a breaking and entering in progress. The victim stated that as he was walking from the third floor to the second floor of his home, he discovered a person standing on the second floor landing. The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival and is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 5’4”, with a small build. Police were unable to locate the suspect but are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Occurred 12:34 AM (10/25) – Hawthorn Rd.

While responding to a live breaking and entering across the street, police observed a worried homeowner and questioned him if everything was okay. At this time, the subject informed police that as him and his wife were sleeping; they were awoken by a loud banging noise coming from the first floor of their home. Upon checking out the first floor, he discovered a dining room window completely opened and suspected that someone may have attempted to enter his home. Police believe this incident may be related with an earlier incident and are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Unarmed Robbery

Occurred 9:02 PM (10/22) – Devotion St.

Police responded to a report of an unarmed robbery. Officers met with the victim who stated that as he was walking towards his apartment, two male subjects approached and threatened him to give them his personal belongings. The suspects were able to get away with the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and house keys. Police were unable to locate the suspects but will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Motor Vehicle Theft

Occurred between 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM (10/23) – Freeman St.

Police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while he was visiting a friend, he parked his vehicle in a guest parking spot. When he returned to his vehicle a few hours later, he discovered it missing. The vehicle reported missing is a black 2007 BMW sedan. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 5:00 PM (10/24) and 12:30 PM (10/25) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that his vehicle was damaged, possibly by a bike. A six inch scratch on the vehicle was observed by officers and a report was filed.

Oct. 21st

Arrest

Occurred 12:46 AM (10/21) – Boylston St. / Chestnut Hill Ave.

While conducting a motor vehicle stop, police observed another motor vehicle travel through a red traffic light and stop in a right travel and breakdown lane. Officers subsequently approached the vehicle and conducted a field investigation. Upon doing so, officers discovered the driver passed out and an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance, police placed him under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred 8:22 AM (10/21) – Lagrange St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that her right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been revoked. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation and are additionally charging her husband for knowingly allowing an improper person to operate his vehicle.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 7:00 PM (10/20) and 7:00 AM (10/21) – Fuller St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during the previous night, his car was broken into. Items reported stolen include an IPod and buck knife. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 3:00 PM and 3:40 PM (10/21) – Green St. / Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local coffee shop. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was sitting at a table; her purse was taken from the back of her seat. The purse contained the victim’s wallet, cell phone, keys, credit cards, and cash. Officers were informed that there is video surveillance in the store and will be following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 2:58 PM (10/21) – Brookline Pl.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Officers met with the victim who stated that sometime while her vehicle was parked in a local parking garage, an unknown suspect ripped her front license plate off her car. Police are following up on the case.
