October 18th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 2:30PM and 2:49PM (10/18)

Ofir Zur, 28 yrs, was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and Battery, Simple Assault, and two counts of Threats to Commit a Crime.

  • Occurred at 6:02PM (10/18)-Washington Street/Cypress Street

Carla Decastro, 44 yrs, was arrested and charged with being Not Duly Licensed and Failure to Stop at a posted No Turn on Red.

Police on patrol stopped a vehicle after observing it go through a no turn on red sign, further investigation revealed the vehicles driver did not have a right to operate in Massachusetts and she was subsequently arrested.

Summons

  • Occurred at 1:35AM (10/18)- Harvard Street/ Verndale Street

Police noticed a suspicious male and upon investigation learned that the vehicle he was operating had stolen plates attached to it, the man will be summonsed to court for Improperly Attaching Number Plates, Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Receiving Stolen Property.

  • Occurred at 12:02AM (10/19)- 55 Thatcher Street

Police on patrol witnessed two young men carrying a 30 pack of beer while walking down the street, when police stopped the subjects to inquire about proof of age it was revealed neither was yet 21. Both subjects will be summonsed to court for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9AM and 11:12AM (10/18)- 33 Pond Ave

Victim reported that sometime during a two hour period his car’s rear passenger’s window had been smashed and his GPS navigation system valued at $350 had been taken from the interior.

  • Occurred between 8:45AM and 2:45AM (10/18)- 166 Thorndike Street

Victim reported that sometime during the day his son’s blue Iron Horse mountain bike valued at $300 had been stolen from the front foyer of his building.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 2:57PM (10/18)- Beacon Street

Victim reported that after seeking employment on craigslist he was contacted by a fraudulent group who sent him fake money orders to endorse to his account in the amount of $3000.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 7AM (10/14) and 11:55PM (10/18)- 229 St Paul Street

Victim reported that while she was in the basement of her building she noticed her storage box had been pried open, however nothing appears to be missing at this time.

October 17th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:42AM (10/17)- 207 Washington Street

Jamison Shaw, 24 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after Suspension and various traffic offenses.

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle make an illegal left turn and upon investigation it was revealed the driver’s right to operate in Massachusetts had been suspended, Shaw was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 9:09AM (10/17)- 278 Harvard Street

Alves Weverton, 26 yrs, was arrested and charged with being Not Duly Licensed.

Police stopped a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and upon further investigation discovered its driver did not have a right to operate in Massachusetts and he was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 12:16AM (10/17)- 400 Heath Street

Victim at Pine Manor College reports losing her purse and upon investigation discovered $1,147.53 in fraudulent charges had been attributed to her credit card account.

October 16th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 1:17PM and 1:50PM (10/16) - 860 Commonwealth Avenue

Brad Morrill, 29 yrs, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Failure to stop for a Police Officer, Operating after Revocation, and other various traffic offenses.

An employee at Ski Market called police to report a robbery that had just occurred. The employee witnessed a suspect later identified as Morrill enter the Ski Market and attempt to leave the store with 8 stolen jackets. When Morrill was confronted by the employee the suspect pulled out a hypodermic syringe and fled the scene in a red convertible. Police found the suspect a short distance away and after a brief encounter the suspect was eventually arrested.

Graffiti

  • Occurred at 3:03AM (10/16)- 16 Winslow Road

A resident reported to police that he had just witnessed two college age men ‘tagging’ a brick wall with spray paint. The two men were described as tall, both were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts; one gray and one red and both were seen leaving the scene on mountain bikes. The cost of the damage is unknown and this case is still under investigation.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (10/15) and 8AM (10/16)-823 Newton Street

Victim reported that sometime overnight the passenger side window of her vehicle had been smashed and her purse containing several credit cards, personal papers, a license, and $4 was taken from inside.

  • Occurred between 3PM (10/02) and 11AM (10/07)- 101 Dean Road

Victim reported that after not using her vehicle for several days she discovered a GPS navigation system had been stolen from the cars interior console. The cost of this device is approximately $500.

  • Occurred between 5:30PM (10/15) and 7:30AM (10/16)- 371 Russett Road

Victim reported that sometime overnight a suspect had entered his unlocked vehicle and stolen a GPS navigation system valued at $630 from the interior.

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (10/15) and 7AM (10/16)- 37 Beresford Road

Victim reported that sometime overnight a suspect had gained entry to his vehicle and stolen his cell phone charger and electric razor, valued collectively at $140 from the inside.

  • Occurred between 7PM (10/15) and 11:50PM (10/16)- 155 Harvard Street

Victim reported that his cell phone had been stolen from his bag which he had left unattended in his cart while shopping for groceries at Stop and Shop. The value of the phone is approximately $249

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 5PM (10/13) and 9:45AM (10/16)- 1422 Beacon Street

Employee at Pelos Hair Salon reported that someone had put superglue inside the keyhole of the front door lock. The cost of this damage is unknown.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 3PM (10/13) and 10AM (10/15)- 233 Harvard Street

Victim reported that a suspect had gained entry into an office by forcing the door open, it also seems as though the suspect attempted to force open a supply closet door. Some damage to both doors was discovered however it does not appear that anything is missing at this time.

October 15th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 9:41PM (10/15) - 72 Penniman Place

Kyle Etienne, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), and Trespassing.

Terrance Daye, 18 yrs, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Trespassing.

Christian Garcia, 18 yrs, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), and Trespassing.

Police responded to a robbery call and were met by a male victim who reported he was robbed by a number of individuals, one of which brandished a black handgun and after chasing him down the street the suspect struck the victim in the side on the head with a glass bottle. After calling for medical assistance, officers stopped a van leaving the area of the robbery. The suspects were detained and a protective search was made to look for any weapons. Police discovered a black plastic 9mm replica Beretta style handgun between the two seats along with two ‘buds’ of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana. A subsequent search yielded a number of full beer and liquor bottles as well as a bag containing additional marijuana, several digital scales, and a large amount of cash. The suspects were subsequently arrested, and a juvenile suspect faces similar charges.

Summons

  • Occurred between 1:53AM and 2:11AM (10/15)-300 Harvard Street

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle operating without a rear license plate, and upon stopping the vehicle learned the driver did have a valid temporary plate however his right to operate in Massachusetts was suspended, he was informed he would be summonsed to court for Operating After Suspension.

  • Occurred at 2:36AM (10/15) - 345 Harvard Street

Police witnessed a vehicle take an illegal left turn and upon pulling the vehicle over discovered its driver’s right to operate in Massachusetts had been revoked. The man will be summonsed to court for Operating after License Revocation, Making an Improper Left Turn, and Registration not in Possession.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 9PM (10/14) and 7:50AM (10/15) - 24 Thornton Road

Victim reported that sometime overnight her driver’s side window had been smashed and a GPS navigation system valued at $600 had been stolen from the dashboard.

  • Occurred between 6PM (10/14) and 8AM (10/15)- 124 Thornton Road

Victim reported that sometime overnight his vehicle’s window had been smashed and his GPS navigation system valued at $250 was taken from the inside.

  • Occurred between 7:30AM (10/14) and 8:30AM (10/15) - 76 Monmouth Street

Victim reported that sometime overnight his Vespa Motorized Scooter valued at $2500 was stolen from its secured location behind his house. The scooter is described as yellowish white in color with an Economy Hardware Basket mounted on the back seat.

  • Occurred between 12PM (10/11) and 11AM (10/12)-30 Stearns Road

Victim reports that several miscellaneous items including some luggage, a walker, and a filing cabinet were stolen from her storage area located in the basement of the building. The collective value of these items is approximately $1,100.

October 14th Police Reports

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 9PM (10/13) and 9:30AM (10/14)- 61 Linden Street

Victim reports that sometime overnight her vehicle’s rear window was spray painted, the cost of the damage is unknown.

October 13th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 3:30AM (10/13) - Winchester Street/ Thorndike Street

Kamram Zahoor, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after Suspension, Defective Equipment, and a Stop Sign Violation.

Police on patrol noticed a vehicle with a defective rear taillight fail to stop as a stop sign. After pulling the vehicle over it was learned that its operator’s driver’s license had been suspended. Zahoor was subsequently arrested.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 12:51PM (10/09) - 157 Winthrop Road

Victim reports receiving a fraudulent charge of $421 attributed to his credit card from Istanbul Turkey. The man immediately cancelled his card, and this case is still under investigation.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6PM (10/12) and 1:46PM (10/13) - 91 Harvard Avenue

Victim reports that sometime overnight his front license plate was stolen from his vehicle.

October 12th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred between 2:17AM and 2:46AM (10/12) - 209 Newton Street

Deonte Moore, 26 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating after License Suspension, Operating after Revoked Registration, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and an Unregistered Motor Vehicle.

Police stopped a vehicle with a Revoked Registration and upon further investigation revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. Moore was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred between 2:15AM and 2:30AM (10/12) - 25 Washington Street

Samuel Pierce, 25 yrs, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Police encountered an intoxicated male who while speaking with officers became belligerent and combative and was eventually placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 2:02PM (10/12) - Fuller Street/Harvard Street

Raymond McMillen, 65 yrs, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class B Substance (Cocaine), Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (Cocaine), and other Drug Law violations.

Kevin McMillen, 41 yrs, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class B Substance (Cocaine), Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (Cocaine), and other Drug Law violations.

Detectives on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle and further investigation revealed that its owner’s license was expired. Police observed the vehicle make a stop and park on the side of the road. While police approached the vehicle on foot an officer witnessed one of the suspects biting into a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance, upon seeing the officer the man spit the substance into a napkin. The driver identified as Raymond Mc Millen was arrested for operating with an expired license. A subsequent search of Raymond, the vehicle, and his son Kevin McMillen yielded several bags of a white powdery substance believed to be Cocaine, as well as ripped sandwich bags commonly used to package drugs.

  • Occurred at 8:37PM (10/12)- Brookline Avenue/River Road

Cesar Leal, 44 yrs, was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Julio Ornejo, 37 yrs, was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Jose Sanchez-Vargas, 45 yrs, was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Detectives on patrol noticed a vehicle unloading large trash bags and putting them into another vehicle parked next to it. When police questioned the three men involved it was learned the trash bags contained over $69,000 worth of stolen medical supplies. The three men were subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8AM (10/04) and 11AM (10/05)-320 Dudley Street

Victim reports sometime overnight his $300 landscaping ladder was stolen from his front yard.
