June 25th
At approximately 1449 hours, police responded to a report of a past larceny of a package.  The subject stated the package was expected to arrive between June 19th and June 24th. This matter is still under investigation.


At approximately 645pm Police responded to a report of a fraudulent use of a credit card. The victim noticed unauthorized activity on their credit card. This matter is still under investigation.

June 22nd through June 24th 2015 Blog
On June 22nd, 2015 an officer along with the assistance of two other officers responded to a report of a larceny of a bicycle. The bicycle that was stolen was part of the Brookline Police Department “Bait Bike” operation.  The bicycle which contained a GPS tracking device was place on a tree on Pearl Street. The Brookline Police Dispatched advised units that the “Bait Bike” GPS unit had detected movement and was traveling North Bound on Brookline Avenue. Officers responded to the area and an officer working on a construction detail on Brookline Avenue heard the broadcast over the radio for “Bait Bike” moving toward his area. Upon seeing the bicycle, the officer signaled for the subject to stop. Upon further questioning of the subject riding the bicycle, he stated he stolen the bicycle. The subject has been placed under arrest.

On June 23rd, 2015, an officer covering the front desk of the spoke to a man that stated sometime on Friday, his bicycle light was stolen off his bicycle which was locked onto a fence on Harvard Street. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 23rd, 2015, an officer observed a subject riding a bicycle on the sidewalk on Beacon St. which is a Town By-Law violation in Brookline. The subject led officers on a brief chase that ended on Longwood Ave, when he fell of his bike. While officers tried to detain the suspect, he became combative. After a brief struggle the officers were able to successfully but the subject in handcuffs. The individual and the officers did not receive any injuries during the brief struggle.  The subject has been placed under arrest.

On June 23rd, 2015, an officer was dispatched to Heath Street for a past breaking and entering report. On scene, victim stated she had left her apartment for a couple of hours. When returning back to her apartment she noticed her backdoor was unlocked and window which leads to the front porch open and the screen removed. The victim reported nothing was stolen or damaged at this time. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 23rd, 2015, an officer was dispatched to a local hospital to serve an arrest warrant to a subject being released from the hospital. The subject has been placed under arrest.


On June 23rd, 2015, an officer was dispatched to Alton Place for a report of a past residential breaking and entering, and larceny of property. Once scene, the victim stated that the front door to her apartment was left wide open.  She also reported having her living room, bedroom, and daughter bedroom rummaged through. The victim also reported missing jewelry, loose change, and Mac laptop. This matter is still under investigation.

6/19/2015-6/23/2015

On June 19th, 2015 an officer was dispatched to Beverly Rd. for a report of larceny of motor vehicle Parts.  On scene, the reporting parties state that hubs of their cars aluminum wheels were missing. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 20th, 2015 an officer traveling westbound on Beacon St. towards Harvard St. observed a vehicle make a right turn in front of the officer’s vehicle and cut in front of the another vehicle.  The officer ran the registration of the vehicle, which revealed the owner of vehicles was suspended. The officer made a stop on the corner of Harvard St. and Naples St. The officer confirmed the operated of the vehicle was owner of the vehicle.   The owner was placed under arrest.

On June 20th, 2015 an officer while on patrol observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Harvard St. The officer conducted a random query of the vehicles registration with the cruisers laptop, which revealed the registered owner of the vehicle had a warrant for her arrest. The officer proceeded to make a traffic stop. The officer confirmed the operated of the vehicle was owner of the vehicle.  The subject has been arrested.

On June 20th, 2015 an officer was dispatched to Winchester Street for a report of a larceny of a motorized scooter.  On scene, the reporting person stated she remembered noticing two individuals standing near the scooter the night before. The reporting person told the two individuals to keep it down because they were being loud outside of her apartment building.  She did not call the police that night because she believed the two individuals were the owners of the vehicle.  The following morning, the woman noticed the scooter was missing.  She noticed that the chain and helmet attached to the scooter were on the ground and immediately reported it.  The responding officer was able to locate the owner of the scooter, who confirmed the scooter was stolen. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 20th, 2015 an officer was dispatched to St. Paul St. for a report of larceny. The reporting party stated she has received an email from a shipping company that a package had been delivered to her house.  After arriving home, the victim noticed that packages were not at the house and contacted the shipping company.  The shipping company stated the packages were delivered to the front door (inside the building).  This matter is still under investigation.

On June 21st, 2015 an officer observed a suspicious motor vehicle stopped in the middle of the Newton St. with the engine running. The officer pulled behind the vehicle and flipped the lights on. The officer approached the vehicle and the driver opened the driver’s side window and the smell of alcohol was permeating from the vehicle.  The officer then conducted multiple field sobriety tests on the driver of the vehicle, which he failed. The officer then placed the subject under arrest.

On June 22nd, 2015 an officer was dispatched to the corner of Blake Road and Somerset Road for a report of larceny. On scene, the victim stated that his phone was stolen. A friend at the scene state he was tracking the phone in the area of Blake Road.  This matter is still under investigation.

On June 22nd, 2015 two officers were assigned to the Beacon St. and Pleasant St. traffic post.  One of the officers observed an individual who he believed to fit the description of an individual known to have outstanding warrants.  The officers confirmed with Brookline Police Dispatch that there were multiple warrants for the subject’s arrest.  This individual has been place under arrest.

On June 22nd, 2015 an officer was dispatched to Sargent Rd. for a report of larceny of a bicycle.  The owner stated at the scene his bicycle was locked on a public bicycle rack on the corner of Harvard St. and School St.  This matter is still under investigation.


On June 22nd, 2015 an officer was dispatched to the Washington Street for a report of a past larceny of a wallet.  The reporting party stated the she noticed her wallet missing after shopping in a local business. The owner of the wallet also stated she checked with employees an asked if they have picked up the wallet.  She received negative results. This matter is still under investigation.
