Police Reports 9/11-9/14

Operating After Suspension: 9/14 at 1:29am – Commonwealth Ave
Officer observed a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on the service road. A vehicle registration revealed that the operator had a suspended license. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for operating after suspension and one way violation.

Operating After Revocation: 9/14 at 7:24pm – Harvard St / Beacon St
Officer observed a vehicle proceed through a changing Green to Red light and cause gridlock for the vehicles. A vehicle registration check revealed that the operator of the vehicle had a suspended license status. Operator was placed under arrest and charged with Operating after Revocation, No License in Possession, and Grid Lock.

Sector 4
B&E of MV: Occurred b/t 9/11 at 11:30pm & 9/13 at 7:30pm – Franklin St
Officer responded to a report that a car had been broken into. Victim stated that he parked his car in his driveway and returned to find his belongings missing. Victim stated that all windows and door locks were intact and there were no signs of forced entry.

B&E of MV: Occurred b/t 9/12 at 6:00pm & 9/13 at 9:30am– Upland Rd
Victim stated that he returned to discover that someone had entered his parked vehicle and removed cash.

Sector 4
B&E of MV: Occurred b/t 9/12 at 8:00pm & 9/13 7:20am – High St
Victim reported that someone had entered her and her husband’s vehicle, and removed property

Sector 5
Larceny/Bike: Occurred b/t 9/11 at 7:00pm & 9/12 at 8:00am – Beaconsfield Rd
Officer responded to a report of a bike report. Victim stated that the bike was left in the garage unlocked.

Police Reports 9/11 - 9/12

Sector 1
Burglary: 9/11 at 7:38pm – Beacon St
Officers were dispatched for a Breaking and Entering in progress. Caller stated that he heard a loud noise as if someone was attempting to break into the next door unit. Caller was able to identify the suspect. A warrant will be filed for Breaking and Entering.

Sector 2
B&E of MV: Occurred b/t 9/11 at 6:00am & 2:30pm – Brookline Ave
Officer responded to a report of a past Motor Vehicle Breaking and Entering, and Larceny of Property. Victim stated that she returned to discover that the front passenger side window of the vehicle was smashed. She reported multiple items stolen from inside her car. A follow up investigation by the detective unit was requested.

Sector 4
Operating After Suspension: 9/12 at 1:08pm – Washington St / Boylston St
Officer observed a vehicle with a failed inspection sticker. A registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license. Operator was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Police Reports 9/10 - 9/11

Sector 2
Larceny: 9/10 at 11:53am - Harvard St
Officer responded to a report of a shoplifter who was observed placing items into his back pack. Subject was placed under arrest for shoplifting. Officers later revealed that the subject had drugs on his persons. Subject will be charged with possession of a class A drug (heroin), and possession of a class B drug, (Suboxone), without a prescription.

Sector 3
Accident: 9/10 at 10:35am – Harvard St / William St
Officer responded to a report of a MV/bicycle accident. Operator of the vehicle was pulling into a parking spot when she came in contact with a cyclist.

Sector 3
OUIL: 9/11 at 3:42am – Beacon St
Officers observed a vehicle traveling and then getting stuck on the train tracks. Officers observed the operator to have slurred speech and glassy eyes. Operator was placed under arrest for Operating Under The Influence Liquor.

Sector 4
Accident: 9/10 at 5:15pm - Cypress St. and Washington St
Victim stated that a construction truck side swiped her car causing damage to the driver's side of her vehicle. Victim was unable to provide a company name or license plate number.

Sector 5
Burglary: Occurred 9/6 b/t 3:00pm & 3:15pm – Colbourne Cr
Victim stated that her jewelry box had been emptied out and items were found missing. No other items were taken and there appeared to be no signs of forced entry. Victim stated that she heard noise coming from the 2nd floor but assumed it was her cleaning lady.

BCW/Rotary Children's Clothing Drive


4th ANNUAL CHILDREN'S CLOTHING DRIVE!
The Brookline Commission for Women and The Rotary Club of Brookline are co-sponsoring the 4th Annual Children’s Clothing Drive. We will be accepting clean, wearable clothing and shoes for children ages 0-5, newborn clothing is especially needed. Donations will be made directly to Brookline families in need, as well as Newborn Necessities and Eastern Service Workers. Clothing that is washed and ready to wear will be much appreciated. We will also be collecting financial donations, canned goods and diapers for the Brookline Food Pantry.

Police Reports 9/7-9/9

Sector 1
Accident: 9/7 at 8:00pm – Harvard St/ Green St
Officer observed a bicyclist down on the ground and a vehicle facing perpendicular to the travel lanes. Bicyclist stated that he was struck by a vehicle that was pulling out of a parking space. Operator of the vehicle refused to speak to officers and drove off. Operator of the vehicle was charged for leaving the scene of an accident, Failure to obey a police officer, and No U-Turn.

Larceny: 9/9 b/t 2:00pm &4:30pm – Commonwealth Ave
Victim reported that his locker was broken into and cash was stolen.

Larceny/Bike: 9/8 at 7:00pm – Naples Rd
Officer responded to take a theft report. Victim discovered that her bicycle was no longer in the garage. Victim stated that the garage door was left opened.

Loud Music/Party: 9/8 at 2:00am – Freeman St
Officer responded to a report for a bunch of kids hanging outside on the porch, yelling at pedestrians. The resident was advised of the noise complaint and that he is responsible for the actions of his guests. Resident was issued a Town Bylaw Citation.

Loud Music/Party: 9/8 at 12:22am –Browne St
Resident was advised of a loud party/noise complaint and issued a Town By-Law.

Loud Music/Party: 9/7 at 11:43pm –Browne St
Officer responded to a report for a loud party. Resident was advised of the noise complaint and was issued a Town By-Law. Guests were asked to leave.

Sector 2
Larceny/Moped: 9/8 b/t 2:00am – 10:00am – Sewall Ave. & Stearns Rd
Victim stated that she returned to find that her parked scooter was taken. Victim stated that only the steering column had been locked.

Attempted Larceny/Bike: B/t 8/31 at 7:00pm & 9/6 at 5:00pm – Alton Pl
Victim reported his bike stolen. Victim claimed that he secured and locked his bike to the post of the rear fire escape to his residence. The cable was found cut and left behind.

Malicious Damage: 9/9 at 6:52pm – Washington St
Officer responded to a report for a disturbance in the area by a male subject who was around yelling at people and vehicles. Officers arrived and observed the subject being loud and aggressive to people and the officers. Subject was placed under arrest and will be charged with Disorderly Person, Malicious Damage of Property, and Resisting Arrest.

Graffiti Law: 9/8 at 11:30pm & 9/9 at 3:00am – Harvard St
Officer observed a wall sprayed with the graffiti tag.

Sector 3
Warrant/Default: 9/10 at 2:45am – Corey Rd
Officer observed a vehicle parked outside Corey Road with two wheels up on the sidewalk. A query check revealed that there was an outstanding default warrant against operator of the vehicle. Operator was placed under arrest.

Operating After Suspension: 9/7 at 4:40pm – Harvard St
Officer observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. A registration check revealed that the operator of the vehicle had a suspended license status. Operator was placed under arrest and will be charged for Operating After Suspension, and Seat Belt violation.

Sector 3
Accident/Bicycle: 9/8 at 1:15pm – Beacon St
Officer responded for a report of a MV/bicycle accident. Operator of a vehicle stated that he was stopped at a red light when a bicyclist ran into the rear of his vehicle. Bicyclist sustained a cut to his left hand.

Sector 3
Accident/ MV Hit & Run: 9/9 at 3:00pm – Orchard Rd
Victim stated that returned to find that her parked vehicle had been damaged. It appears that another vehicle had collided with the victim’s vehicle, causing damage to the front bumper and the front quarter panel.

Sector 4
Accident-MV/Property: 9/8 at 10:20pm – Cypress St and Boylston St
Officer responded to a report of a MV crash. Both operators were issued citations for failing to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left.

Sector 4
Warrant/Default: 9/8 at 11:18pm – Beacon St & Washington St
Officer observed a vehicle with a faulty brake light, traveling at a high rate of speed. A registration query revealed that the operator had an outstanding default warrant. Operator was placed under arrest and issued for Defective Equipment, Speeding, Seatbelt Violation.

Sector 7
Revoked Registration: 9/7 at 8:30am - Lee St. and Dudley Way
Officer observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. A registration query revealed that the vehicle had a revoked registration and also had failed its' safety/emissions inspection. Operator will be charged for Revoked Registration and No Valid Inspection Sticker.

Sector 7
B&E of MV: 9/7 bt 11:30 & 9/8 at 12:45am – Pond Ave @ Jamaica Rd
Officer responded for a B&E&L report on Pond Ave. at Jamaica Rd. Victim stated that returned to find that the window of her parked vehicle had been smashed. Victim reported that her bag - which contained her wallet, credit card, cash, identification, electronic book- was missing.
