Thursday, June 21st

6/21

6:06 PM - An officer was dispatched to Sewall Ave for the report of a larceny. The officer was met by the victim who stated that she had left for work at approximately 7:00 AM that morning and arrived back to her residence around 5:45 PM Thursday evening. When she arrived back home, she noticed that two packages that were delivered to her had been taken. The shipments contained various clothing items.

6:38 PM - An officer was dispatched to Sewall Ave to take a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she left for work at approximately 7:00 AM and upon arriving home around 5:00 PM, a package that was delivered had been taken. The package contained a black dress.

11:00 PM - Police responded to a radio call for a larceny report at Sewall Ave Thursday night. The victim stated that a package delivered to her lobby at 11:35 AM had been stolen when she arrived home around 5:00 PM. The victim stated that after speaking with neighbors, several of them had also reported packages stolen from the lobby of the building.

Brookline PD are continuing to investigate these incidents of package theft on Sewall Ave.

June 19th and 20th

6/19

10:15 PM - An officer assigned to the front desk took a report Tuesday night about a credit card that was used fraudulently. The victim stated that after using his credit card at a local restaurant, he placed it back in his wallet. When looking at his wallet around 5:40 PM, he noticed that it was gone and that fraudulent charges had been made throughout the afternoon of 6/18. This incident is being investigated.


6/20

9:50 AM - An officer responded to Beacon Street for a larceny report. The victim told police that sometime between 10:00 PM on 6/19 and 8:00 AM on 6/20, flower pots, plants and flowers were stolen from her garden. Police are investigating this incident.

3:00 PM - Officers were dispatched to Beacon Street for the report of a past Breaking & Entering & Larceny of a Motor Vehicle. Officers met the victim who stated she had parked in the back lot of her building on 6/15 at approximately 4:00 PM. She didn't return to her car until 6/20 when she noticed items from her glove compartment and center console scattered around the inside of her vehicle. Stolen from the vehicle were 3 pairs of sunglasses, 2 phone chargers, a GPS and approximately $50 dollars. This incident is being investigated.

5:56 PM - An officer was dispatched to Harvard Ave to take a report of a past package theft Wednesday evening. The victim relayed to the officer that a package had been delivered to her residence on 6/16 in the vestibule of her building; confirmed by both the tracking number and a picture provided by who delivered it. When returning home on 6/17, the package was no longer there. The package contained a pair of grey shoes. This incident is being investigated.

Monday, June 18th

6/18

8:25 AM - An officer was dispatched to Chatham Street for a past Breaking & Entering & Larceny of a Motor Vehicle. The victim told the officer that she parked her vehicle in her driveway around 6:45 PM on Sunday evening and returned to see her car rifled through around 7:00 AM Monday morning. Missing from the vehicle were sunglasses and its case and a gym bag containing clothes. This incident is being investigated.

10:58 AM - An officer was dispatched to Brookline Place for a larceny report. The caller stated that money from the front desk of the commercial property had been taken over the weekend. The reporting party stated that no other items were taken. A follow-up has been requested. This case is being investigated.

1:00 PM - Officers were dispatched to Ivy Street for the report of a past Breaking and Entering and Larceny of Motor Vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that she had returned home last night around 9:00 PM and left her bag in the back seat of the car. When returning to her vehicle this morning, she noticed that her bag was missing. The bag contained various clothing items. This incident is being investigated.

4:45 PM - Officers responded to the front desk of the station for a stolen motor vehicle report. The assistant manager of a local rental car company relayed to officers that two men had come into the agency and rented a car for one day. After the vehicle had not been returned for a couple of days, an attempt was made to contact the suspects which yielded negative results. A follow-up has been requested as this incident is being investigated.

June 15th and 16th

6/15

11:04 AM - Officers were dispatched to Francis Street Friday morning for a report of a dog bite. The victim was bitten on the right hand by an unleashed dog and had sustained small lacerations. The victim also stated that before leaving the area, the owner did not identify themselves or the dog. Police were able to identify the owner and the dog and determined after a quick investigation that the dog involved was not aggressive and that there were no indications that he is a danger to the public. An Animal Contact Report was completed and faxed to the Health Department.

4:36 PM - A victim of Identity Theft came into the station Friday afternoon, stating that a bank account was opened in his name. The victim stated that he had received banking statements with two separate accounts opened that he does not have with that bank. The victim was advised to contact major credit bureaus and the Federal Trade Commission regarding this incident. Police are investigating.


6/16

7:30 AM - Officers were dispatched to Cypress Street Saturday morning to take a burglary report. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the residents who stated an unknown male party was in their apartment sleeping. Police observed that the glass to the front door of the residence was broken. Officers entered the residence and saw the aforementioned party sleeping in one of the bedrooms. Brookline PD woke up the suspect who was confused as to where he was and how he got there. The 23 year old Boston resident was arrested and charged with Breaking & Entering in the Nighttime with Intent to Commit a Misdemeanor.

9:45 PM - An officer was dispatched to Beacon Street for a report of a stolen bike Saturday night. The victim explained that she had locked her bike to a bike rack in front of her residence that morning. When she returned to where she locked it at approximately 9:45, the bike and lock were gone. This incident is being investigated.
