SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - Officers responded to Carlton St for a report of suspicious activity. The reporting party stated that over the course of the weekend multiple packages that were delivered had been opened but that nothing had been taken. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to St Paul St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left their car unlocked overnight and discovered in the morning that it had been rummaged through and that property was missing. The matter is under investigation.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers took a report of malicious damage that occurred on Homer St. The reporting party stated they left their car parked on the street and returned to find several scratch marks keyed into the hood. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of check fraud. The reporting party stated they were notified by the bank that an individual had attempted to cash a fraudulent check. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Griggs Rd for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they were in the process of renting an apartment online but discovered the listing was fraudulent when the manager

BURGLARY - Officers were called to Cottage St for a report of a past breaking and entering. The reporting party stated they returned to their residence to find the front door slightly ajar and the lock damaged. Nothing appeared to be missing. The matter is under investigation.


Wednesday, March 30

LARCENY - Officers responded to Elliot St for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they parked their vehicle overnight in a parking lot and discovered in the morning that the catalytic converter had been removed. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers responded to Babcock St for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they parked their vehicle overnight in a parking lot and discovered in the morning that the catalytic converter had been removed. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received a letter from the Department of Revenue regarding a new account opened in their name, without their knowledge or consent. The matter is under investigation.

BY-LAW VIOLATION - Officers were called to the area of Harvard St and School St for an animal violation. An individual was walking their dog without a muzzle, after it had been deemed a requirement by the town due to past aggressive behavior. The owner was issued a citation.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Monmouth St for a report of theft by false pretense. The reporting party stated they were contacted by an individual claiming to be a Customs and Borders Protection Officer. They spoofed multiple official numbers and demanded the victim transfer money to a new account. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received an email that appeared to be from McAfee, stating that, in order to renew the subscription, they needed to purchase gift cards and provide the numbers. The matter is under investigation.

LARCENY - Officers were called to Newton St for a report of a past larceny. The reporting party stated an item had been taken from their residence. The matter is under investigation.

ATTEMPTED CAR BREAK - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of suspicious activity. An individual was reportedly searching parked vehicles with the intent to commit a crime, and upon arrival, officers identified the party and placed them under arrest.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Thatcher St for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received an email from the bank stating someone had attempted to apply for a credit card using their personal information. The matter is under investigation.
