Monday, July 26

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY - Officers were called to Hawes St for a report of an attempted robbery that had just occurred. The suspect is described as a black male, late teens to early 20s, approximately 5’7” wearing a dark sweat suit with white stripes, the hood up, and a surgical mask. The suspect demanded money from the victim and struck him. The suspect fled the bank on foot, towards Borland St.

CAR BREAK - Officers responded to a call on Kilsyth Rd regarding a car break. The victim shared that they had left their car unlocked, and when they returned, property was missing. Officers are looking in the area for surveillance footage.

BIKE THEFT - Officers were called to Longwood Av for a report of a bike theft. The suspect had broken into a storage area and stolen a bike. Officers are looking into the matter further.

 

Tuesday, July 27

ANIMAL BITE - Officer responded to a call on Englewood Ave where the victim was bitten by an unleased dog. The matter has been referred to the animal control officer.


Wednesday, July 28

FOUND PROPERTY - Officers responded to the corner of Kenwood and Columbia St. for a report of found property.  Officers were given a child's purse and brought it to the station for safekeeping.

SCAM - Officers responded to a call regarding a recent scam. The victim shared that they were contacted by individuals claiming to be from a federal agency and requesting the victim transfer funds to avoid penalties. The victim was advised to cease contact and keep an eye on their bank accounts for suspicious activity as officers investigate further.


Saturday, July 31

PACKAGE THEFT -  Officers were called to Walnut St regarding a theft. The victim shared that they received an email that stated their package had arrived, but when they returned home, the package was missing. Officers are investigating further.


Sunday, August 1

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - Officers responded to a call for an attempted burglary on Princeton Rd. The victim stated they found marks on the back door indicating someone had tried to gain access but were unsuccessful. Officers are looking into the matter further.
