Occurred between 2:00 AM and 3:00 PM (7/19) – Boylston St.
Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid Massachusetts’s license to operate a motor vehicle. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for driving without a license and further charged with speeding.
Occurred 1:20 PM (7/20) – Harvard St.
Police responded to a report of shoplifters. Upon arrival, officers were able to locate both suspects and recover $258 worth of stolen property. Both suspects were subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting.
Occurred between 11:05 AM and 11:30 AM (7/21) – Thatcher St.
Police responded to a report of a male with an active arrest warrant. Upon arrival, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and were informed by the suspect that he and the two other male parties present had just used narcotics. All parties were subsequently placed under arrest.
Malicious Damage
Occurred 7:05 AM (7/20) – Babcock St.
Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that her vehicle had been damaged by use of a sharp object. The four foot scratch went along the victim’s driver’s side door and rear quarter panel. The victim provided several leads which the police are following up.
Larceny
Occurred between 7:00 AM (7/01) and 12:51 AM (7/20) – Pond Ave.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that over $6,000 was stolen from his condominium unit which he had left on his dining room table and in his dresser drawer in his bedroom. The victim is the only one with a key to his residence and does not have a roommate or friends that come over on a regular basis. He is concerned that a member part of the condominium staff entered his unit when the money was taken. Police are following up on the case.
Occurred between 6:00 PM (7/19) and 9:25 AM (7/20) – Park St.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that he parked his bike the previous night by the back door of his building. When he returned the following morning, the bike was gone. The bike is described as a white bicycle valued around $40.
Occurred between 8:00 AM (7/19) and 8:00 AM (7/20) – Kent St.
Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that her bicycle and market tent had been stolen from the laundry area of her building. She further told officers that she stored the items in the basement three weeks ago and recalls seeing them the previous day. Officers were told that the only people with access to the room are other residents of the apartment complex. The bike is described as a women’s specialized mountain bike. Police are following up on the case.
Graffiti
Occurred between 1:30 PM (7/19) and 8:00 AM (7/20) – University Rd.
Police responded to a report of graffiti. The reporting person stated that he found graffiti on the rear door of his property. The suspect tagged the door in two separate places using a silver and white marker. Police are following up on the case.
Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
Police responded to a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime during the evening someone smashed the front passenger window of his vehicle and removed personal items. Items reported missing include a Palm Treo Pro cell phone, Dell laptop computer and accessories, digital camera, MP3 player, and suitcase. Police are following up on the case.
