February 7, 2008

Robbery

  • Occurred between 8:32 PM 2/6 and 8:51 PM 2/ 6 321 Cypress St.

Police responded to reports of an armed robbery at the One Stop Market. The victim informed officers that a man had just robbed the store and fled in an unknown direction. The victim also stated that the man had been in the store on two other occasions, and that this time the man waited in the rear of the store until everyone left before robbing the store. The victim described the man as a black male, mid twenties with a beard, 5’10’’-6’, medium to large build, wearing sunglasses, dark colored baseball cap with stripes with a letter in the front, dark colored possibly black leather jacket, a dark hooded sweatshirt with a pointed hood and dark colored jeans.

February 6th Police Reports

February 6, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 4:20 PM 525 Harvard St.

Miguel Lopez, 23 yrs, was arrested and charged with shoplifting

Benjamin Reyes, 21 yrs, was arrested and charged with shoplifting

Police responded to reports of two males shoplifting. When police arrived they met with the store’s lost prevention employee who told police that he observed the two subjects concealing several items of clothing and attempt to leave the store. The two subjects were also charged with furnishing a false name to police.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 12:10 PM 351 Clark St.

The victim reports that someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a pair of sunglasses from the center console. Nothing else appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 9:00 AM 1/4 and 5:05 PM 2/6 1101 Beacon St.

Victim reports that one of his past employees had stolen a few of his prescription pads and used them to forge prescriptions.

  • Occurred at 12:00 AM 115 Greenough St.

Victim reports that she had zipped her cell phone inside the pocket of her jacket, and left it at her seat in the bleaches. When she returned to her seat she found that her phone was missing. She described the phone as a “Sidekick” brand LX model, valued at about $350.00.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 6:30 PM and 8:31 PM Pearl St. / Washington St.

Victim reports that his passenger side window had been smashed. Stolen from the vehicle was an IPod (which was left on the passenger seat in plain view) and $40.00 in cash.

February 5th Police Reports

February 5, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred between 5:00 PM and 5:20 PM

Travis Souther, 20 yrs, was arrested and charged with threats to commit a crime and assault by means of a dangerous weapon.

Police responded to reports of a man threatening someone with a knife. The suspect, Mr. Souther, was arrested and charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon.

  • Occurred at 11:15 PM 2/4 300 South St.

Police responded to reports of an assault at 300 South St. between two patients. One of the subjects was arrested for assault and battery.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 1:00 PM and 1:10 PM 400 Heath St.

Victim reports that when she got up from a table in the library, she left her laptop and papers behind unattended. When she returned ten minutes later the laptop was missing. She states the computer with software and accessories are valued around $3,000.00.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 3:00 PM and 11:43 PM Brookline Ave./ Aspinwall Ave

Victim reports that her vehicle’s rear vent window on the passenger’s side was smashed. Missing from the vehicle was a Sirius Satellite stereo and her EZPass transponder.

February 4th Police Reports

February 4, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred at 8:20 PM 525 Harvard St.

Gregory Kirsh, 29 yrs, was arrested and charged with shop lifting.

Police responded to reports of shoplifting. When they arrived they observed Mr. Kirsh in the Loss Prevention office with the store manager. The manager stated that the suspect was opening packages of food and rummaging inside of them causing the items to be unfit for sale. Card credits that did not belong to the suspect and that were reported stolen were also found on the suspect.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 4:00 PM 2/1 and 12:26 PM 2/4 156 St. Paul St.

Victim reports that someone had thrown a jar of salsa through two windows in the apartment. The windows are each valued at $200.00.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM 104 Franklin St.

Victim reports that sometime in the morning he was awakened by movement in the apartment, when he called out he heard the front door close. The only person he saw was a man walking on Cypress St. towards High St., when he called out to the man he said that he had just left a key for the land lord, but when the victim went back to the front lobby of the building he saw no key. The victim’s sister then arrived home later in the day and noticed that $75.00 was missing from the apartment. The victim described the man as a white male 6’5, medium build, in his late forties wearing a Patriots Super Bowl baseball cap, ¾ length black leather jacket and blue jeans.

February 1st-3rd Police Reports

February 1, 2008

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 1/31 and 1:00 PM 2/1 48 Corey Rd.

Victim reports that over the weekend someone had spray painted his white picket fence. Police observed one tag in pink spray paint.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 10:30 PM and 10:49 PM 14 Parkman St.

Victim reports that a small window on the interior door of his building was broken. He reports that at the time of the incident his son was the only one home and prior to noticing the broken window he saw a small group of young people out front.

February 2, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred between 1:33 AM and 2:24 AM Harvard St. / Sewall Ave.

Daniel Long, 22 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police pulled over Mr. Long on Harvard St. Police asked the driver, Mr. Long to step out side of the vehicle, he then began to sprint in the direction of Sewall Ave. Police were able to catch up the suspect and place him under arrest.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM 1063 Beacon St.

Victim reports that $400.00 was missing from his apartment. The victim told police that someone had been showing the apartment to possible renters and has the key to the apartment.

February 3, 2008

Arrest

  • Occurred between 12:14 AM and 12:44 AM 1651 Beacon St.

David Homan, 33 yrs, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, malicious damage to a building, and assault and battery.

Police responded to reports of a disorderly person at the Golden Temple. Upon arrival they observed the kitchen to be in disarray with dozens of broken plates, prepared food, and other items scattered on the floor. Mr. Homan was placed under arrest and brought to the police station. Fallon ambulance determined that they were going to transport him to Beth Israel Hospital. While the subject was being escorted to a room he slapped a nurse across the face and became very belligerent. During a struggle to restrain the subject, he also managed to hit the officers.

  • Occurred between 2:59 AM and 3:36 AM Boylston St. / Norfolk Rd.

Roberts Evans, 43 yrs, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

After being pulled over for a traffic violation, police observed Mr. Evans to be intoxicated. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

  • Occurred at 10:15 PM 229 St Paul St.

David Small, 51 yrs, was arrested and charged with larceny.

Victims report that while they were moving furniture into their new apartment they noticed that a few items were missing. Police began their investigation by talking to other residents in the building. When they came to Mr. Small’s apartment they observed him carrying a stereo receiver, which is one of the items missing. Police were given permission to enter the premises and then observed the other items that were reported missing in the apartment. Mr. Small was arrested for burglary.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 6:00 PM 2/2 and 12:01 2/3 384 Harvard St.

Victim reports that while his vehicle was parked on the street someone had smashed the front passenger side window. Stolen from the vehicle was a GPS unit valued at $250.00. Nothing else appeared to be taken.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 10:30 AM and 11:55 AM 333 Washington St.

Victim reports while she was at church her car that was parked in the town hall lot was keyed. She stated that her hood, trunk and right side was keyed.

Robbery

  • Occurred between 6:40 PM and 6:44 PM 70 Pearl St.

Victim reports that while on Pearl St. she was pushed down to the ground from behind during the robbery, but sustained no injuries. Stolen was a black pocketbook containing $47.00 and a couple of credit-cards. A witness described the suspect as a light skinned black male, 5’9 wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, workout style sweat pants, and had short black hair.

Assault

  • Occurred at 10:20 PM Beacon St. / Winthrop Rd.

Victim reports that as she was walking down the street she observed a tall white male, 6’2” with long brown hair wearing a white baseball cap and blue jeans kick over a newspaper box. He then knocked over a barrel and proceeded to take a concrete flower pot off the stairs and throw it on the ground. Before he threw it the victim said to him “don’t do it”. He then threw it to the ground, charged after her, and hit her on the head with his hand. He then proceeded to walk up Winthrop Rd. away from Beacon St. Subject not located at this time.
