1/28/2016

At 1:36pm a caller on Russett Road reported a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. According to the caller it occurred at some point between the previous night and that morning. Several items were reported stolen. A report was taken of the incident.


This is the only reported incident like this in the area, residents are reminded to lock your doors and hide your valuable from plain sight.

1/27/2016

At 10:22am, a caller on Sumner Road called to report a suspicious man at their home, which they did not answer. Officers located the man and arrested him on several charges including attempted Breaking and Entering.

At 11:47am, a disturbance was reported on St. Paul Street. A caller reported hearing loud voices and footsteps. A wounded man was found at the scene and was transported to an area hospital. Officers are investigating.

At 11:49am, multiple callers reported a traffic incident on Harvard Street. Two wounded males were found in the street, and were sent to area hospitals. This incident is seen as being connected to the one at St. Paul Street and is being investigated as such.

1/26/2016

At 9:40am, a caller on Kenwood Street reported an attempted Breaking and Entering that had occurred the previous day. The officers responding found evidence of the attempt but determined that no entry was made. A report was taken and the matter is being investigated.

At 6:42pm, a shoplifting was reported at a business on Harvard Street. A male suspect was arrested at the scene.

At 8:47pm, a male suspect was arrested on Pond Ave on a warrant for previous charges.

1/25/2016

At 11:26am, a resident on Chestnut Street called to report suspicious activity after their home alarm system was triggered. The alarm company had notified the resident, and neighbors reported spotting footprints along the side of the house. Officers confirmed that a break-in had occurred. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

At 2:47pm, a caller on Eliot Street reported a breaking and entering at their home. The break in occurred at some point earlier that morning. A report was taken and the case is being investigated.

1/22/2016 to 1/24/2016

1/22/2016
At 3:45pm, a resident on Mason Terrace called to report the theft of multiple credit cards. The cards were taken from their home earlier this month, and charges have been made on the cards since. A report was taken.

At 9:02pm, Brookline Police officers assisted the Newton Police in transporting multiple shoplifting suspects to their department after they were detained on Boylston Street in Newton.

1/23/2016
At 12:55pm, a caller reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in a garage on Harvard Street. The vehicle was found to have pry marks on it from some time in the past three weeks. A report was taken.

1/24/2016
At 10:03am, a newly installed stop sign was reported stolen from intersection of High Street and Allerton Street. A report was taken.

At 2:56pm, a resident reported the theft of their cell phone. The phone was taken about 20 minutes before the call. A report was taken.
