Monday, January 17

MV THEFT - Officers responded to Commonwealth Av for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle has since been recovered.


Tuesday, January 18

BURGLARY - Officers were called to Harvard St for a report of a breaking and entering. An individual was witnessed forcefully entering the building, emptying a register, and taking property before fleeing the scene. The matter is under investigation.


Wednesday, January 19

NOISE VIOLATION - Officers responded to Verndale St for a report of a noise violation. The reporting party stated there was loud music coming from a neighbor's residence late at night. The individual was issued a by-law citation.

PACKAGE THEFT - Officers took a report of a package theft that occurred on Kent St. The reporting party stated they received notification of a delivery, but when they went to collect it later in the evening, the package was missing. The matter is under investigation.

GRAFFITI - Officers responded to Greenough St for a report of graffiti on public property.


Thursday, January 20

ASSAULT - Officers were called to Harvard St for a dispute among two individuals. It is reported that an individual grew agitated when they noticed another patron was not wearing a mask. As they were leaving the store, they threw their coffee to the ground, making contact with the other party involved. The suspect has been placed under arrest.

ANIMAL BITE - Officers responded to Larz Anderson Park for a report of a person bitten by dogs. The reporting party stated their dog was off-leash a the park when they were approached by another individual walking five dogs, also off-leash. The dogs grew aggressive with one another, and when the reporting party attempted to pick up their dog, they were bitten by the others. The matter is currently under investigation by animal control, and all animals involved were confirmed to be up to date on their vaccinations.

SHOPLIFTING - Officers were called to Harvard St for a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated two individuals entered the store, asked for something behind the counter, and fled with property while their back was turned. The matter is under investigation.

SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated they saw two individuals enter the store and proceed to place several items in a backpack and in their jacket


Friday, January 21

ASSAULT - Officers were called to St Paul St for a report of a person acting aggressively. The reporting party stated an individual followed an Uber down the street and proceeded to strike both the vehicle and the passenger. The responsible party will be summonsed to court for assault and damage to property.

ROBBERY - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of a robbery. The reporting party stated an individual came into the store and began placing items in a backpack, with the intent of leaving without paying, and when they confronted them and attempted to take back the items, a physical altercation ensued. The suspect fled but was later placed under arrest. They will be charged with unarmed robbery and shoplifting.

FORGERY - Officers took a report of a forgery. The reporting party stated someone had attempted to withdraw money from a bank account using their identification. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers were called to Brook St for a report of fraud by check. The reporting party stated they discovered a check had been rewritten and cashed to an unknown person without their knowledge of consent. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers responded to Kent Sq for a report of fraud by check. The reporting party stated they discovered a check had been rewritten and cashed to an unknown person without their knowledge of consent. The matter is under investigation.


Sunday, January 23 

ID FRAUD - Officers were called to Bowker St for a report of ID fraud. The reporting party stated withdrawals from an investment fund was made under their name without their knowledge or consent. The matter is under investigation.

ANIMAL BITE - Officers responded to Grove St for a report of a dog bite. The reporting party stated they were walking their dog down the street when they were approached another individual with two dogs. One of the two bit their dog and their hand as they tried to separate the animals. The matter is under investigation.
