On July 5th, an officer was dispatched to
a residence on Park Street for a report of a breaking and entering. On scene,
the officer spoke with the resident of the apartment. The resident stated that she
had left for the holiday and arrived home late in the afternoon. Upon arriving,
she noticed her apartment was ransacked and noticed check books and several
electronic devices missing.
On July 5th, an officer was dispatched to
a residence on Euston St. for a past Burglary. On scene, the residents stated
they all left for the holiday weekend and returned Sunday. Upon entering, the
residents noticed the apartment was in disarray and observed one of the windows
was left open in the back of the bedrooms.
The residents reported missing several electronic devices and a wallet.
On July 5th, an officer was dispatched to
a residence on Timon Avenue for a report of suspicious activity. On scene, the
officer spoke with the residents who stated their dog alerted them to a bedroom
door. Upon opening the bedroom door, the residence noticed the window air
conditioning unit removed and a chair placed under the window. The residents confirmed nothing was missing
from the room.
On July 6th, two officers responded to Boylston
and Washington St. for a check on a well-being. On scene, the officers noticed
a man sitting on his bicycle with his head down. The officers asked the man if
he was sick and in need of medical attention. The man stated he was sleepy and
felt dizzy but did not need medical attention. The officers then asked the
subject for identification and transmitted the information to Brookline Dispatch
to check to for warrants. Dispatch confirmed there was a warrant out for his
arrest and the subject was arrested.
On July 6th, an officer assigned to the front
desk of the Brookline Police Department was approached by a Park St. resident
to report the theft of her bicycle. She stated her bicycle was placed in her locked basement the night of July 5th, and noticed it was missing
the following morning. There were no signs of forced entry and did not recall
anything suspicious.
