Police Reports 6/13-6/14

Sector 1

Arrests: 6/13 at 10:39 PM- Dummer St. / Amory St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then failed to stop for a stop sign. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, he observed the passenger throw an object from the vehicle’s open window. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Dummer St. Upon reaching the vehicle the officer observed an open bag on the rear seat that contained a large crow bar, a large screw driver, a power hand saw and gloves. Officers were able to locate the item that the passenger threw from the vehicle and identify it as a signal jammer, a device that can be used to facilitate crimes by preventing phone, wifi, radio signals, and burglar alarm signals. Based on the totality of the circumstances, the driver and the passenger were placed under arrest for Possession of Burglarious Tools. The driver was also placed under arrest for Carrying a Dangerous Weapon-Knife.

Sector 3

Tire Theft: Between 6/13 and 6/14- Englewood Ave.

An individual reported the theft of four tires from her vehicle while it was parked in the area of Englewood Ave. The vehicle was left on cinder blocks.

Sector 4

Bike Theft: Between 6/12 and 6/13- High St.

An individual reported the larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that he left his bicycle unlocked in the vestibule of a High St. building on 6/12 at approximately 9:30 PM. When he returned he discovered the bike was missing.

Burglary: 6/13 between 8:30 AM and 5:20 PM- Vernon St.

A Vernon St. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that she left her house at approximately 8:30 AM. When she returned at 5:20 PM, she discovered that her front door had been forced open. A laptop computer was reported stolen.

Sector 8

Arrest:  6/13 at 3:35 PM- Woodland Rd.

Officers responded to Woodland Rd. for the report of a man who was ringing a woman’s doorbell and would not leave her front steps. Officers located the male subject in the area. The subject stated that he was going door to door soliciting for money. The subject was not registered with the town to solicit. The subject was then placed under arrest for Willful Violation of the Town By Law.

Police Reports 6/12-6/13

Sector 1

Drug Arrests: 6/12 at 5:30 PM- Harvard St.

An officer observed three individuals acting suspiciously in the area of Harvard St. The officer observed Suspect #1 concealing something in a shopping bag, then hand something to both Suspect #2 and Suspect #3. All three individuals then made a motion consistent with ingesting a pill. The subjects then passed around what the officer believed to be a marijuana cigarette. The officer stopped the subjects in the area of Harvard St. A search of the subjects resulted in the recovery of Oxycodone, Marijuana, and two collapsible batons. Suspect #1 was placed under arrest for Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act and Possession of Class C with Intent to Distribute. Suspect #2 and Suspect #3 were both placed under arrest for Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act.

Sector 8

Operating after Suspension: 6/13 at 2:15 AM- Lee St. / Clyde St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling without an inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Lee St. and Clyde St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Police Reports 6/11-6/12

Sector 1

Not Duly Licensed: 6/12 at 12:37 AM- Harvard St. / Fuller St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with a broken tail light. The officer initiated a traffic stop at Harvard St. and Fuller St. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license and he was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Sector 8

Malicious Damage: Between 6/10 and 6/11- Heath St.

An individual reported malicious damage to her motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone keyed her motor vehicle overnight while it was parked in her driveway.

Police Reports 6/10-6/11

Sector 1

Operating after Suspension: 6/11 at 1:48 AM- Harvard St. / Green St.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn onto Harvard St. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Harvard Street and Green Street.  A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 3

Shoplifting: 6/11 at 11:37 AM- Harvard St.

A CVS employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that she observed a male subject with a bulge underneath his sweater, presumably an item from the store. When the subject attempted to leave the store he set off an alarm. Through surveillance video it was confirmed that the subject had taken items from the shelf and concealed them in his clothing. A search of the area for the suspect yielded negative results. The suspect was described as a white male, receding hair line, gray and black hair, wearing a red hooded sweater, black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and dark sneakers.

Police Reports 6/9-6/10

Sector 1

B&E MV: Between 6/8 and 6/9- Essex St.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway.

Sector 2

Arrest: 6/9 at 10:07 PM- Perry St. / Linden Pl.

An officer observed several individuals in a park after hours. A query revealed that one of the individuals had two warrants out of Lawrence and Lowell District Courts. The subject was placed under arrest for the warrants.

Sector 4

B&E MV: Between 5/31 and 6/9- Washington St.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle in a garage in the area of Washington St. on 5/31. When he returned to his vehicle on 6/9, he discovered that someone had entered the vehicle and stole a GPS unit and cash. The vehicle was left unlocked.

Arrest: 6/9 at 5:51 PM- Beacon St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Beacon St. A query revealed that the driver had a warrant and he was placed under arrest.

Sector 5

B&E: 6/9 between 5:30 and 6:00 PM- Leicester St.

Residents in the area of Leicester St. reported a residential breaking and entering. The victims stated that they were on their patio when they heard a man yelling from the first floor of their house. The suspect then fled out the front door. Nothing was reported missing from the residence.

Operating after Suspension: 6/10 at 9:31 AM- Gardner Rd.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal turn. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Gardner Rd. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Not Duly Licensed: 6/10 at 1:08 PM- Garrison Rd.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling with defective brake lights. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Garrison Rd. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license and he was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Police Reports 6/6-6/9

Sector 2

Shoplifting: 6/6 at 6:20 PM- Harvard St.

A Stop and Shop employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that he observed a male and a female concealing items in personal bags. The two suspects then fled the store. Officers were able to stop two individuals who matched the description in the area. The subjects were positively identified by the employee and they were both placed under arrest for Shoplifting.

Sector 3

Drug Arrest: 6/6 at 9:51 PM- Beacon St.

Officers responded to the area of Beacon St. for the report of two males arguing. Officers located two male parties in the area that were the source of the complaint. During a pat frisk of one of the individuals officers found crack cocaine and a pipe. The individual was placed under arrest for Possession Class B.

Sector 4

Operating after Suspension: 6/8 at 3:01 AM- Washington St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 5

Operating after Suspension: 6/7 at 5:07 PM- Washington St.

An officer observed a vehicle travel through a red light. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 8

Operating after Suspension: 6/6 at 10:57 PM- Boylston St.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license as well as a warrant out of Stoughton District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for the warrant and Operating after Suspension.
