February 17th- 18th

Arrests:

Occurred between 9:36 AM (2/17) and 10:15 AM (2/17) – Beacon Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop. Upon investigation officers learned that the operator did not have a Massachusetts license. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for operating without a license, and failure to display the owner’s name.

Occurred at 7:51 PM (2/17) – Harvard Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for an expired registration. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for altering registration documents and operating after expired registration.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a motor vehicle:

Occurred between 9:45 AM (2/17) and 10:40 AM (2/17) – Washington Street

Officers responded to a call for breaking and entering and larceny on a motor vehicle. Upon investigation the victim notified police that the console inside his vehicle had been opened and items were missing.

Larceny from Building:

Occurred between 2:30 PM (2/11) and 7:45 AM (2/15) – Boylston Street

Officers responded to a call for larceny. Upon arrival officers learned that UPS packages that were delivered to the local business had been stolen. No suspects have been identified.

Burglary:

Occurred between 7:30 AM (2/17) and 8:53 PM (2/17) – Parkway Road

Officer responded to a report of burglary. Upon investigation officers learned that the apartment had been broken into and one item was missing. This case is under ongoing investigation.

Arrests:
Occurred between 6:34 PM (2/16) and 7:00 PM (2/16) – Babcock Street

Officers responded to a request for police to take a patient into custody who had three outstanding arrest warrants. The subject was taken into custody without incident.

Occurred at 5:30 PM (2/16) – Lee Street/ Dudley Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon investigation officers learned that the operators right to operate a motor vehicle was revoked. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for not duly licensed, and speeding. Upon the arrest officer discovered three plastic bags that contained a substance police identified as cocaine, and was also charged with possession of a class B substance.

Revoked registration:
Occurred at 1:22 PM (2/16) - Philbrick Road/ Buckminster Road

Officers conducted a traffic stop for an expired inspection sticker. Upon investigation officers learned that the registration of the vehicle had been revoked. The operator was issued a citation for revoked registration and the vehicle was subsequently towed.

Arrests:

Occurred at 2:51 AM (2/16) – Beacon Street/ Park Drive

Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon investigation officer learned that the operator’s right to operate a motor vehicle was revoked. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after revocation and speeding. The passenger of the vehicle had an active arrest warrant and was also placed under arrest and transported to Brookline Police Station.

Assault with a weapon:

Occurred at 7:32 PM (2/15) – Longwood Avenue

Officers responded to a call of threats. The victim told police that a resident of the apartment building had threatened to hit him with a glass bottle because he did not sign off a piece of certified mail for him. The subject then maliciously backed into the victim’s vehicle with his own car. The subject was advised that he will be summonsed into court for Assault Dangerous Weapon-glass bottle, Threats, Malicious Destruction of Property and Leaving the Scene of Accident.

Weapons Violation:

Occurred at 3:26 PM (2/15) – Heath Street

Officers received a call that there was a motor vehicle accident at the college campus. After the accident a faculty member of the college got a call from a student stating that her roommate had been given a firearm to hold and hide for her boyfriend who was involved in the accident. The boyfriend did not want the police to find it during the towing of the vehicle, so it was giving to his girlfriend to hold it for him. Brookline Police are investigating the validity of the incident and will be notified by school officials when the subject returns to campus.

Arrests:

Occurred at 5:35 PM (2/11) – Beacon Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a defective tail light. Upon investigation officers learned that the operators license was suspended. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred at 12:11 PM (2/12) – Chestnut Hill Avenue/ Clinton Road

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a red light violation. Upon investigation officers learned that the operators licenses was suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred at 3:56 AM (2/14) – Beacon Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop due to the vehicle occupants acting suspicious in the area. Upon investigation officers learned that the operator was under the influence of alcohol and was also operating after his right to operate was suspended. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Brookline Police Department.

Occurred at 4:52 AM (2/13) – Washington Street/ School Street

Officers stopped two subjects that police suspected to be involved in recent false fire alarms. Upon questioning officer learned that both parties had conflicting stories that varied from one another about where they were coming from. Officers also found a bag that contained stolen property in the subject’s possession. Both subjects were placed under arrest for being in possession of stolen property and transported to Brookline Police Department for further questioning. Both subjects have been charged with two counts each of receiving stolen property.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny:
Occurred between 7:00 PM (2/10) and 7:30 AM (2/11) – Regent Circle/ Beaconsfield Road

Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the victim stated that his car was broken into and several items were taken. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 6:00 PM (2/11) and 8:51 Am (2/12) – St. Mary’s Court

Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the victim stated that his car was broken into and several items were taken. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred at 3:50 AM (2/12) – Harvard Street

Officers responded to a local business for a report of larceny of the company bicycle. The victim stated that the unsecured bike had been stolen sometime overnight. Police are following up on the case.

Operating after Suspension:
Occurred at 2:16 AM (2/13) – Beacon Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a red light violation. Upon investigation officers learned that the operators license was suspended. Police requested the subject be summonsed into Brookline District Court for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.
