11/14 - 11/15

Sector 1

Not Duly Licensed: 11/14/2013 at 12:36 p.m. – Commonwealth Ave/ Pleasant St.
A random query of a vehicle’s information revealed the registered owner was not duly licensed. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Commonwealth Ave and Pleasant St. The operator was confirmed to be the owner of the vehicle. He was placed under arrest for being not duly licensed.

Operating After Suspension: 11/13/2013 at 10:47 p.m. – Harvard St.
A random query of a vehicle’s information revealed the registered owner had a suspended license. An officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. The driver was confirmed to be the owner of the vehicle. He was placed under arrest. 

Sector 2

Operating After Suspension: 11/14/2013 at 2:12 p.m. – Longwood Ave/ Chapel St.
An officer observed a driver using a cell phone while driving. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Longwood Ave and Chapel St. A query of the driver’s information revealed he had a suspended license. He was placed under arrest.

Sector 4

Sale of Marijuana: 11/15/2013 at 3:04 a.m. – Beacon St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling the incorrect way down a one-way street. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Beacon St. A query of the driver’s information revealed he had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed a jar containing a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana. A number of plastics bags and a scale were also discovered. A criminal complaint for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs was filed with the Brookline District Court. 
Possession of Marijuana: 11/13/2013 at 2:41 a.m. – Pond Av
An officer observed two individuals acting suspiciously. The officer identified himself to the individuals, who immediately placed their hands in their pockets. The officer repeatedly asked the individuals to remove their hands from their pockets. The officer performed a pat frisk of the individuals, locating a small, plastic egg. At this point, one of the individuals attempted to flee but was apprehended. The egg contained a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The individuals were issued a town by-law citation for Possession of Less than 1 Ounce of Marijuana.

Operating After Suspension: 11/14/2013 at 1:12 a.m. – Boylston St./ Sumner Rd.
An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query of the driver’s information revealed he had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest.

Sector 8

Operating After Suspension: 11/13/2013 at 9:46 p.m. – Boylston St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at an accelerated rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query of the driver’s information revealed he had a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest.

Sector 9

Larceny: 11/12/2013 at 7:00 p.m. – Independence Dr.
An officer was dispatched to Independence Dr. after receiving a report of a stolen bicycle. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the victim who stated he left his bicycle secured outside of his home. When he went to retrieve it, he saw it had been taken.

11/12 - 11/13

Operating After Suspension: 11/11/2013 at 9:50 p.m. – Boylston St./ Hammond St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at an accelerated rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query of the driver’s information revealed he had a suspended license. He was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspension. A query of the passenger’s information was also conducted, revealed the passenger to have a warrant out of Dorchester District Court. He was placed under arrest.

Sector 3
Larceny: 11/12/2013 at 12:45 p.m. – Beacon St.
An officer was dispatched to Mulford St. to take a report of larceny. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the victim who stated she was at a business on Beacon St. when she mistakenly left her tote bag containing an IPad behind. Once she realized her mistake she called the business, but the bag could not be located.

Sector 4
MV Theft: 11/12/2013 at 6:25 p.m. – Beacon St.
An officer was dispatched to Beacon St. after receiving a report of motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the victim who stated she left her car on and running while she ran into a daycare center. When she returned her vehicle was gone. Brookline officers were able to locate the vehicle, which had been abandoned. The victim’s purse and some personal papers were missing from the car.

Larceny: 11/12/2013 at 9:00 a.m. – Beacon St.
An officer was dispatched to Beacon St. after receiving a report of a stolen bicycle. The officer was met by the victim who stated she left her bike secured to a fence outside of her apartment building. When she returned for the bike, she saw it had been taken.

11/9 - 11/12

Sector 1
Not Duly Licensed: 11/08/2013 at 4:47 p.m. – Harvard St./ Stedman St.
An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for a pedestrian. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the driver’s information revealed she was not duly licensed. She was placed under arrest.
Larceny: 11/06/2013 at 6:00 p.m. – Sewall Ave
An officer was dispatched to a residence on Sewall Ave after receiving a report of larceny. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the victim who stated he was expecting a package containing a laptop computer to be delivered that day. According to an online tracking service, the package had been delivered. The package would have been visible from the street, leading the victim to believe it had been stolen.
Malicious Damage: 11/10/2013 at 1:05 a.m. – Babcock St./ Harvard St.
An officer observed two males ripping papers from a bulletin board and as well as the tiles from the roof of the bulletin board. The officer instructed the individuals to stop what they were doing. As the officer began to approach the two males, the suspects fled on foot. The officer called for additional units, who were eventually able to locate the suspects, who were once again told to halt. The suspects fled once again but were eventually apprehended and placed under arrest.

Sector 2
Operating After Suspension: 11/09/2013 at 1:55 a.m. – Harvard St./ Linden St.
An officer observed a vehicle tailgating. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the driver’s information revealed his license was suspended. He was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspension.
Larceny: 11/09/2013 at 8:00 a.m. – Brook St.
An officer was dispatched to Brook St. after receiving a report of larceny. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the victim who stated she had left her bicycle secured to a pole near her residence. When she returned for the bicycle, she saw it had been stolen.

Sector 3
Larceny: 11/07/2013 at 6:00 p.m. – Thorndike St.
An officer was dispatched to a residence on Thorndike St. after receiving a report of larceny. The officer was met by the victims who stated three bicycles were stolen from their unlocked garage. Neither victim reported seeing anything suspicious.
Larceny: 11/09/2013 at 7:09 p.m. – Harvard St.
An officer was dispatched to a business on Harvard St. after receiving a report of a larceny. According to the victims, a customer came into their store and stole an IPad from the front desk. A review of video surveillance showed the suspect to be a Caucasian female, approximately 25 years old with long, black hair.
Larceny: 11/01/2013 at 7:30 a.m. – Beacon St.
While working at the front desk, an officer received a report of a past larceny. According to the victim, he mistakenly left his cell phone at a restaurant on Beacon St. Once he realized his mistake, he returned to the restaurant but his cell phone was no longer there.

Sector 5
Larceny: 11/06/2013 at 3:30 p.m. – Greenough St.
While working at the front desk, an officer received a report of past larceny. According to the victim, his saxophone was left on the bus by mistake. Though the victim quickly realized his mistake and contacted MBTA, the saxophone could not be located.
Burglary: 11/11/2013 at 5:00 p.m. – Gardner Rd.
Several officers were dispatched to a residence on Gardner Rd. after receiving a report of burglary. Upon arrival, the officers were met by the victims who returned home to find their kitchen window had been pried open. A review of the house revealed several items were missing including an IPad and some jewelry. The matter is currently under investigation.
