Monday, June 13

ANIMAL VIOLATION - An individual was seen walking their dog without a muzzle, after it was mandated by the town due to past incidents. The owner was issued a by-law citation.


PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to Park St for a theft report where the reporting party shared they discovered an individual was going through their mail and taking items. The perpetrator was summonsed to court.


FRAUD - Officers took a report of ID fraud. The reporting party stated they discovered someone claiming to be the owner had emptied and then closed their bank account. 


Tuesday, June 14

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Strathmore Rd for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party shared they left their vehicle in their driveway overnight and discovered the next morning that it had been gone through and property was stolen. 


Wednesday, June 15

FRAUD - Officers took a report of internet fraud where the reporting party shared that they called a number of an alert that appeared on their computer screen and were told that their computer, phone, and bank accounts had been hacked. The perpetrator then told them to transfer their funds to a temporary account. 


FRAUD - Officers took a report of internet fraud where the reporting party was in communication with another individual online in regards to a sublease. The perpetrator claimed there was a mistake with Zelle and requested a large money transfer to cover the cost. 


Thursday, June 16

MV THEFT - Officers took a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left their motorcycle behind their building and returned a few days later to discover that it was missing. The motorcycle has since been recovered.


Friday, June 17

THEFT - Officers took a report of a theft that occurred on Clyde St. The reporting party stated they had left a bag unattended and later discovered that it was missing. The matter is under investigation.


BIKE THEFT - Officers took a report of a theft that occurred at Eliot Playground. The reporting party stated their child had left their bike at the playground for a few days, and when they went to retrieve it, they discovered it was missing. 


ATTEMPTED ROBBERY - Officers responded to the area of Pond Av for a report of an attempted robbery. The victim stated they were running along the bike path when a couple unidentified individuals began chasing after them, yelling threats and obscenities. Nothing was taken, and there was no further interactions were made. 


Saturday, June 18

THEFT - Officers were called to Clyde St for a report of a theft, where the reporting parties stated electronics were stolen from an unsecured room. The matter is under investigation.



Sunday, June 19

THEFT - Officers took a report of a theft that occurred on Clyde St. The reporting party stated they discovered their wallet was missing when they received an alert to bank activity. It was discovered an individual had repeatedly attempted to withdraw money using the stolen cards. The perpetrator was summonsed to court. 


ASSAULT - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of an assault. The victim reported that they were walking along the sidewalk when another unidentified individual approached them and slapped the coffee from their hands. The perpetrator then ran away. 


THEFT - Officers were called to Webster St for a report, where the reporting party stated they returned to their room to discover property had been stolen. The perpetrator has been summonsed to court.


BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to Independence Dr for a report of a stolen bicycle. The reporting party stated they left their bike outside the front door and returned an hour later to discover it was missing.

Monday, June 6
THEFT - Officers took a report of a theft that occurred on Westbourne Tr. The reporting party stated they discovered material had been stolen from the site over the course of a few days. 

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Beech St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated two vehicles left unlocked in their driveway had been rummaged through and property had been stolen overnight. 

FRAUD - Officers took a report of check fraud. The reporting party stated they discovered someone had altered and then attempted to cash a check they had previously written. 

CAR BREAK - Officers responded to Boylston St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they returned to their vehicle, which had been parked in a garage for a few hours during the day, and discovered the windows had been smashed and property stolen. 

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they continued to find fraudulent charges on their bank statements, as well as received repetitive calls and texts asking for personal information. The matter is under investigation.

PACKAGE THEFT - Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of a theft. The reporting party stated they received confirmation of the delivery, but when they went to retrieve the package, it was gone. 

THEFT - Officers responded to Washington St for a report of a theft. The reporting party stated they left an appliance unattended in the lobby of their residence and returned later in the day to discover it was gone. 
Tuesday, June 7
ANIMAL BITE - Officers took a report of a dog bite that occurred at Waldstein Playground. The reporting party stated they were riding their bike down Dean Rd when a dog ran up to them and bit them on the leg. The owner has been issued a by-law citation.

ANIMAL BITE - Officers took a report of a dog attack that occurred on Alberta Rd. The reporting party stated they were walking their dog on Alberta Rd, when a loose dog ran up to them and bit their dog multiple times. The owner has been issued a by-law citation.
Wednesday, June 8
THEFT - Officers were called to Clearwater Rd for a report of a theft. The reporting party stated they left their vehicle in their driveway overnight and discovered later that the license plate had been removed. 

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they were working with a construction company and received an email claiming that there was an issue with the payment and asking for a new wire transfer. 

FRAUD - Officers took a report of identity fraud where the reporting party shared that they were notified by the IRS that they filed an unemployment claim. Since the party is still employed and did not file the claim, they contacted police and the unemployment hotline. 

THEFT - Officers responded to Dwight St for a report of a theft. The reporting party stated someone had entered their room and taken property. 

THEFT - Officers took possession of a backpack that was found earlier in the area of Downes Field. When the owner came to collect it, they noticed that money was missing from their wallet. 

BIKE THEFT - Officers were called to Gardner Rd for a report of a bike theft. The reporting party stated they locked their bike in a garage overnight and returned in the morning to discover it was gone. 

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received a text message from an unknown number stating their amazon account had been hacked and they needed to make a Bitcoin deposit in order to rectify the account. 

Thursday, June 9
SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated a female individual placed bottles in a backpack then fled the store without paying. 

ASSAULT - Officers were called to the area of Clinton Rd for a report of an assault. The reporting party stated they witnessed a driver pushing the passenger of their vehicle around. 

ANIMAL VIOLATION - Officers took a report of a past animal bite that occurred in the area of Babcock St. The reporting party stated they were walking with their dog in their arms when an off-leash dog jumped up and bit their animal on the side of their body. The owner was issued by-law citations.

Friday, June 10
THEFT - Officers responded to Harvard St for a report of theft. Reporting parties stated they left their belongings in the lobby and returned to find property missing. 

THEFT - Officers were called to Commonwealth Av for a report of theft. The reporting party stated they left their backpack in an unlocked office and returned to find it missing. The bag has since been located. 

SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to Washington St for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated a male individual had placed bottles into a suitcase then left the store without paying. The perpetrator was apprehended and will be summonsed to court.

Saturday, June 11
FRAUD - Officers took a report of check fraud. The reporting party stated they discovered a check they had written was altered and then cashed without their knowledge or consent. 

BIKE THEFT - Officers were called to Harvard St for a report of a bike theft. The reporting party stated they secured their bike indoors then discovered it was missing a few days later. 

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to Harvard St for a dispute about parking. Two individuals were arguing about a parking spot in a lot, and one of the individuals kicked the other's vehicle. The perpetrator was summonsed to court.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of check fraud, where the reporting party stated that someone had altered the information on a check and then proceeded to cash it without the consent or knowledge of the owner.

BIKE THEFT - Officers were called to Harvard St for a report, where the reporting party stated they secured their bike to the stairs outside their residence and returned a few days later to discover it was missing. 

Sunday, June 12
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - Officers responded to the area of Beacon St for suspicious activity. The reporting party stated they witnessed a group of individuals climbing barricades and knocking some of them over.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers were called to Beacon St for a report of malicious damage to commercial property. The reporting party stated they discovered dog feces smeared across the front door and hand rails. 

ROBBERY - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of an armed robbery. The reporting party stated a male individual entered the store and asked to be served. They later allowed another male individual, carrying a firearm, to gain entry. They then ransacked the business and fled the area.
