6/15/2015-6/16/2015

On June 15th 2015, an officer was dispatched to a report of unauthorized use of a credit card on Harvard St. On scene, the victim’s father stated that his son’s personal care attendant withdrew a sum of money from the son’s bank account without permission.  Suspect has been placed under arrest.

On June 15th 2015 an officer responded to Russet Rd. on a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The car owner stated that several objects were tossed around the vehicle and the ashtray had been removed.  Nothing was reported taken from the vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 15th, 2015 an officer assigned to the front desk of the Brookline Police station received a report from a woman that she was a victim of fraud.  The victim stated her monthly statement from a local bank had indicated that there were unauthorized charges on her account. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 16th, 2015, an officer was dispatched to an apartment building on Egmont Street for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.  On scene, the victim told the responding officer that before he went to sleep he noticed that his garage door was open and the interior light of his car on.  The car owner then proceeded to check on the garage where he noticed the vehicle had been rummaged through.  The victim reported a small sum of loose change being missing from the vehicle.  After putting his car back together, he noticed that his bicycle was missing which had a distinctive name and features on the bicycle.  Shortly after putting the description out, two officers on patrol noticed two individuals standing in between the bicycle that matched the description of the stolen one. One of the individuals also carried the loose change that was reported stolen from the victim’s vehicle. The suspect has been place under arrest.

On June 16th, 2015 an officer responded to Kent St. for a report of a residential breaking and entering and larceny of property. The homeowner noticed that several objects were moved around inside the house. The victim also reported missing several pieces of jewelry.  This matter is still under investigation.

On June 16th, 2015 officers were dispatched to the Beacon St. for a report of a man brandishing a knife towards others. The man barricaded himself inside an apartment with a woman and after a few minutes the man came out of the apartment to speak with the officers. The man and woman were both placed into handcuffs for the safety of the officers and a protective sweep of the apartment was conducted. During the protective sweep, an officer noticed the knife laying on the man’s nightstand next to his bed. The woman stated that the man with the knife got into a verbal altercation, which led to the man pushing and shoving the woman around.  The suspect has been placed under arrest.

On June 16th, 2015 officers were dispatched to the Cypress St. for an attempted theft of a local business. The manager of the business stated to the officers that two males attempted to take scooters and left the area on foot.  The manager also noticed that there were two more males were leaving the tried basement area of the business towards a gas station to fuel the scooters.  The manager fled on foot to attempt to stop the suspects. Both suspects dropped the scooters and ran. This matter is still under investigation.


On June 16th, 2015 an officer was dispatched to Tappan St. for a residential Breaking and Entering in progress. The homeowner reported witnessing a female attempt to enter her home through the back door.  The suspect was pursued by one of the officers to the area of Sumner Rd and lost sight of the subject.  This matter is still under investigation.

6/13/2015-6/15/2015

On June 13th, 2015 an officer was dispatched to multiple breaking and entering of a motor vehicle reports on Payson Rd. On scene, the victim told the officer both of his vehicles, that were parked in the driveway where entered. The victim also reported missing items from his glove compartment where thrown around the vehicles, but no items were reported stolen. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer was dispatched to a local business for a report of a past uttering of counterfeit. This matter is still under investigation.
On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of multiple vehicle breaks that occur on W. Roxbury Parkway.  The victim stated that both vehicles that were parked in his driveway.  The contents of both vehicles glove compartments were emptied and thrown around inside the car. The victim reported missing change, drinking glasses, and a pair of clay cooking bowls.  This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 and officer was dispatched to Russet Rd. for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. On scene, the victim stated he noticed that the vehicles cup holder and center console was tampered with. The victim also reported a pair of clip on sunglasses missing from the vehicle. The vehicle appeared to have been left unlocked.  This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on South St.  On scene, the victim stated that the contents of her pursue had been dumped onto the driver’s seat and the purse was missing, along with a small sum of money.  It appears as though the vehicle was left unlocked. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on W. Roxbury Parkway.  The victim stated that both of the vehicles were entered and items had been removed from the glove compartment and thrown about the passenger area.  The victim stated that a two pair of sunglasses had been taken from the vehicle and small sum of money. Both vehicles were unlocked. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on Russet Rd.  The victim’s car was parked in the driveway and she noticed that all the contents of her glove compartment had been removed and thrown around the vehicle.  Victim stated nothing had been stolen from the vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer assigned to the front desk of the Brookline Police Department Headquarters received a report from a Brookline resident that her vehicle had been broken into. The victim reported  a purse, which contained credit cards, driver’s license, and a passport had been stolen.  This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on Wallis Rd. The victim reported the car was in her driveway and in the morning noticed the contents of the center console and glove compartment had been removed and tossed around the vehicle. Victim reported a small sum of money missing. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on W. Roxbury Parkway. The victim reported that missing a small sum of money from the vehicle. It appeared that vehicle was unlocked. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on South St. The victim reported that both vehicles in the driveway were broken into and the contents of the glove compartment and center console had been tossed around the vehicle. The victim stated nothing was taken from the vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 13th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on West Roxbury Parkway. The victim stated a radar detector and a dashboard camera had been taken from the vehicle. The victim also reported missing a pair of sunglasses and wallet, which contained multiple credit cards, debit card and a small sum of money. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 14th, 2015 an officer responded to a report of malicious damage of a property. Two pedestrians noticed glass of the storefront had been broken and reported it. The responding officer surveyed the perimeter of the building and noticed the rear door had been unlocked. The responding officer along with another officer assisted in checking the store.  The officers noticed nothing out of the ordinary from being stolen and notified the store owner.  The owner confirmed that nothing had been taken from the property.

On June 14th, 2015 an officer was dispatched to Lyman Rd. for a report for malicious damage. On scene, the victims reported that all four tires on his trailer had been slashed.  This matter is still under investigation.

On June 14th 2015 an officer was dispatched to Manchester Rd for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.  The victim reported the vehicles door had been left open ajar and it appeared as though someone rummaged through the center console and glove compartment. Victim stated nothing was taken from the vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

On June 14th, 2015 an officer while on patrol were stopped at a traffic light on the intersection of Harvard St. and Beacon St.  The officer observed a brown sedan traveling east on Beacon St.  take a turn onto Harvard St. in violation of the posted “No Left Turn” sign.  The officer pulled the brown sedan over.  The officer approached the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and the driver produced a Guatemalan passport.  The offender stated that he did not have a valid driver license. The driver was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle without a license.


On June 15, 2015 and officer observed a pedestrian on Harvard Street acting suspicious.  The officer attempted to engage in a conversation with the subject, but the subject fled and jumped a fence in an attempt to elude the officer. Other units responded to the area and located the subject. The subject was later found to be in possession of a GPS Unit, care charges and a large assortment of loose change.  The subject was placed under arrest.
